So I am what i consider a die hard Miami Dolphin fan! Except for time spent in jail I haven't not watched a game since they became available to watch every game. I interact with all players on social media I write to the Miami Herald and the Sun Sentinel so i like to share my opinion. I watch every coach and player conference video there is. I would never jinx my team by betting them and I would never pick against my team cause i could never feel ok being even a slight bit happy that we lost. All this being said my life hasn't been a happy one. I was to young to watch Marino go to the Super Bowl and I have only seen us reach the 2nd round once. I have not had much to legitimately cheer for, I say legitimate cause i will still get excited and try to think positive over decisions no matter how bad they are. I couldn't imagine rooting for a successful team and have confidence in my team. All that being said my life would have been so different if just one decision was different what i consider the worst decision in nfl history. This decision plagues me as with our continued lack of success it should have been so different. To the decision in 2006 Nick Saban was going into his second season after a hopeful first season where he turned a 4-12 team into a 9-7 team with Gus Ferrotte under center. When Miami got Saban we made him the highest paid Nfl coach in history I believe which I welcomed thinking we got our new Shula first step check. The decision that i know would have changed my life that is the worst in Nfl history was when Mr. Saban tried to low ball Drew Brees. It was a known fact Brees wanted to sign with Miami and all we had to do was agree to pay this franchise changing and franchise stability qb 10 million dollars a year. Nick Saban made the comment I heard him with my own ears he is not paying a player 10 million that we dont know how is going to throw coming off his shoulder surgery. Instead he elected to go with Culpepper coming off a broken leg and give up a second round pic. Culpepper went on to be sacked 21 times in his first 4 games and was cut. Drew Brees went onto well you know what heory was bringing you to the Nfl. Dont ever come back your not welcome and I will be praying for a Bama loss! has done. I hate you Mr. Saban you ruined my life as well as the lives of every Dolphin fan and the single worst decision in football history was when they brought you to the Nfl.
