How To Make The Packers Great Again

-Fire Dom Capers: No defensive coordinator in the league would still be around after that meltdown of a game. Not to mention, Capers has been mediocre for seasons.

-Let Ted Thompson step into a different spot in managing and make Elliot Wolf their new GM. He might be more aggressive, and Thompson is a tightwad.

-Hire Rex Ryan as the new defensive coordinator. His personality would be interesting, to say the least, but there's no denying how good a defensive coordinator he is. If not Ryan, then they need to look for someone who can coach a 3-4 defense. Transitioning to a 4-3 would be devastating right now, and it's not like the Packers need to rebuild.

-Go after secondary help. Sam Shields is pretty well gone now, and really, they need an elite cornerback to get where they need to be. Letting Heyward go in the offseason was a very big problem, and it showed when the Packers were down to Ladarius Gunter and Micah Hyde as their top two corners. Hyde is better as a safety, anyway, and the Packers have two good safeties. I'd target a corner in the 1st round, or a free agent like Bouye, Gilmore, Butler, Johnson, or Ryan, if any of them actually hit free agency. But one thing's for sure: the Packers HAVE to get some corner help, among other things.

-Get a runningback. Rodgers needs more to work with, and it became glaringly obvious during the Packers' season down the stretch. Lacy is too lethargic and injury-prone to ever be consistent. Montgomery is fine as a backup runningback and a third down back, but the Packers' next starting runningback is not on the roster. Isaiah Crowell might be a target if they go with free agency, but a 2nd-round pick in the draft would not be a problem, either. Look for names like Dalvin Cook, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and Curtis Samuel, among others.
