  1. Arizona Cardinals: Demorrio Williams, OLB, Nebraska
Dennis Green loves Josh McCown as a potential Pro Bowl quarterback, so it appears as though Arizona will not be selecting a signal caller during the first day of the draft. Instead, they turn to their defense. Gerald Hayes will be a decent linebacker down the road, but the Cardinals still need another pass rushing outside linebacker.

  2. New York Giants: Matt Schaub, QB, Virginia
Kerry Collins' many interceptions and fumbles have plauged the Giants since the 2000 Super Bowl. It's likely that they will draft a young quarterback that they can groom for a year or two. By then, Collins will be 34. Schaub is a game manager more than anything, which is exactly what the Giants need.

  3. San Diego Chargers: Darrion Scott, DE, Ohio State
San Diego's starting defensive ends combined for 7 sacks in 2003. That was the primary reason why the Chargers had lots of trouble defending pass. Darrion Scott would provide a tremendous upgrade over anyone the Bolts currently have on their roster.

  4. Oakland Raiders: Bobby McCray, DE, Florida
38 year old Trace Armstrong started for Oakland last season. Enough said.

  5. Atlanta Falcons: Devard Darling, WR, Washington State
Devard Darling is a monsterous 6'3'' receiver out of Wazzoo. If he pans out, imagine Michael Vick, Peerless Price and Darling in the same offense. Scary.

  6. Cleveland Browns: Bernard Berrian, WR, Fresno State
Dennis Northcutt and Andre King are both free agents, so Cleveland might use this pick to add some depth to their receiving corps.

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jerricho Cotchery, WR, NC State
With the addition of Jerricho Cotchery, Jacksonville's three wideouts will be Cotchery, Jimmy Smith and Kevin Johnson. Not bad at all. Byron Leftwich needs all the weapons he can get.

  8. Houston Texans: Johnnie Morant, WR, Syracuse
Knowing Charley Casserly, he'll probably draft another quarterback, because according to him "you can never have too many quarterbacks." Brilliant. Anyway, the Texans could use a young wide receiver because Jabar Gaffney is looking like the bust I projected him to be. Johnnie Morant is a project, and will take some time to develop, but he's 6'4'' and runs a 4.4 40.

  9. Jacksonville Jaguars: Nate Kaeding, K, Iowa
Thanks to the Mark Brunell trade, Jacksonville has two third round picks. Thus, they can afford to draft a kicker early. I know Seth Marler was a rookie last season, but he was only 6/14 from 40+ yards. A strong defensive team needs a very accurate kicker (Adam Vinatieri, Martin Gramatica, Matt Stover, etc.)

  10. Detroit Lions: Chris Snee, G, Boston College
Although the Lions signed Daimian Woody, they still need to upgrade their offensive line, especially at the other guard position.

  11. Buffalo Bills: Ben Watson, TE, Georgia
Buffalo's offense evaporated when two players departed: Peerless Price and Jay Riemersma. While the former is the primary reason the Bills had trouble scoring touchdowns in 2003, Buffalo received minimal production from their tight ends.

  12. Pittsburgh Steelers: Max Starks, OT, Florida
I've heard sources claim that Tommy Maddox would get injured in practice due to his offensive line. That's how bad this group was last season. Pittsburgh needs to upgrade both offensive tackles, but Marvel Smith's mammoth salary will keep him in place next year. Oliver Ross on the other hand, has to go.

  13. New York Jets: Roderick Green, DE, Central Missouri State
John Abraham is moving to outside linebacker, which means that the Jets will have to acquire a defensive end to take his spot.

  14. San Francisco 49ers: Tatum Bell, RB, Oklahoma State
Garrison Hearst is now a Denver Bronco, which means there is no reliable backup behind Kevan Barlow. If Barlow goes down with an injury, Tim Rattay will be without a running game. Drafting a running back like Tatum Bell will help Dennis Erickson avoid such a dilemma. Bell has improved his draft stock by running a 4.37 during his Pro Day workout.

  15. Chicago Bears: Keyaron Fox, OLB, Georgia Tech
I have absolutely no idea why the Bears released Warrick Holdman. Now, they'll have to use a draft pick to replace him.

  16. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bob Sanders, S, Iowa
I'm not sure why Jon Lynch was released by the Buccaneers, but Bob Sanders will be his eventual replacement.

  17. Cincinnati Bengals: Julius Jones, RB, Notre Dame
Corey Dillon has found a new home in Foxboro, Massachussetts. That leaves Rudi Johnson without a reliable backup.

  18. New Orleans Saints: Brandon Martin, S, Butler
Brandon Martin accumulated the most interceptions in 1-AA football last season. Fred Thomas registered the most interceptions on New Orleans with four. New Orleans could use his type of play-making ability. Martin will be a starter down the road.

  19. Minnesota Vikings: Stuart Schweigert, S, Purdue
Minnesota desperately needs two defensive backs to improve their terrible secondary. They already signed Pro Bowl corner Antoine Winfield. The Vikes need another.

  20. Dallas Cowboys: Travelle Wharton, OT, South Carolina
Dallas needs help at tackle, guard and center. I still have no clue how Bill Parcells won with these guys. Tuna will take at least one offensive lineman with his first three picks.

  21. Seattle Seahawks: Courtney Watson, MLB, Notre Dame
Randall Godfrey has left Seattle, but he was Seattle's temporary solution at middle linebacker. They need a long term guy to start for their improving defense.

  22. Denver Broncos: Tank Johnson, DT, Washington
Even though Denver signed Luther Elliss through free agency, they still need another defensive tackle.

  23. Green Bay Packers: Matthias Askew, DT, Michigan State
The Packers need help at defensive tackle, like most teams in pro football, especially since Gilbert Brown was released.

  24. Miami Dolphins: Isaac Hilton, DE, Hampton
Rumors are circulating that Adewale Ogunleye is heading for Chicago. If that's the case, Miami will have to draft a defensive end to take his place.

  25. Baltimore Ravens: Stacey Andrews, OT, Ole Miss
Orlando Brown is a hot head, who might have cost Baltimore their home playoff game against Tennessee. It would be wise to draft a potential replacement for Brown. Stacey Andrews had one of the best workouts at the Combine.

  26. Philadelphia Eagles: Greg Jones, RB, Florida State
Duce Staley is no longer an Eagle, and without a regular fourth round pick, Philadelphia will probably add another young running back during the first day of the draft. Greg Jones has really fallen in my mock draft because of his lame Pro Day workout. Recently, Jones ran a 4.62, which has damaged his draft stock.

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Nathan Vasher, CB, Texas
Both of the Colts' corners, David Macklin and Walt Harris, have left the team. That means, Nathan Vasher will be drafted for depth purposes and will eventually become a starter. It's amazing how far Vasher has fallen. A year ago, he was projected to be a mid-first round pick.

  28. St. Louis Rams: Kelly Butler, OT, Purdue
Orlando Pace is a free agent. If St. Louis loses him, they'll have a huge hole to fill. If he stays, they still need depth at offensive tackle.

  29. Tennessee Titans: P.K. Sam, WR, Florida State
Justin McCareins has joined the Jets, meaning Tyrone Calico will most likely take his spot in the starting lineup. P.K. Sam will become the fourth wide out on the depth chart. Sam is a very strong receiver who could develop into a playmaker down the road. He will become a starter down the road.

  30. Kansas City Chiefs: Nathan Adibi, DE, Virginia Tech
The top sack man on the Chiefs was Vonnie Holliday, who totaled 5? sacks. Yet another reason Kansas City's defense couldn't stop a pack of sixth graders in 2003. Kansas City must acquire a solid defensive end during the first day of the draft.

  31. Carolina Panthers: Carlos Francis, WR, Texas Tech
Carlos Francis is a speedy receiver out of Texas Tech Eventually, he may replace either Muhsin Muhammad or Steve Smith.

  32. New England Patriots: Nick Leckey, C/G, Kansas State
More offensive line help for the Patriots, because protecting Tom Brady is their top priority.

  33. Cincinnati Bengals: Shaun Phillips, DE, Purdue
Cincinnati has been awarded an extra third round pick for losing Takeo Spikes last offseason. With their bonus third round selection, they'll probably address their subpar defensive line. Six the highest sack total accumulated by a Bengal in 2003, so drafting a defensive end like Shaun Phillips would be a wise move.

  34. New York Giants: Mewelde Moore, RB, Tulane

  35. San Diego Chargers: Tony Pape, OT, Michigan

  36. Oakland Raiders: Kendyll Pope, OLB, Florida State

  37. Arizona Cardinals: Ben Hartsock, TE, Ohio State

  38. Atlanta Falcons: Adrian Jones, OT, Kansas

  39. Jacksonville Jaguars: Keith Smith, CB, McNeese State

  40. Houston Texans: Josh Harris, QB, Bowling Green

  41. Chicago Bears: Carlos Joseph, OT, Miami

  42. Detroit Lions: Jason Peters, TE/OT, Arkansas

  43. Cleveland Browns: Rashad Washington, S, Kansas State

  44. Pittsburgh Steelers: Sean Locklear, G, NC State

  45. New York Jets: Lawrence Richardson, CB, Arkansas

  46. Buffalo Bills: Bo Schobel, DE, TCU

  47. Chicago Bears: Greg Brooks, CB, Southern Miss

  48. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brandon Everage, S, Oklahoma

  49. San Francisco 49ers: Jacob Bell, G, Miami Of Ohio

  50. New England Patriots: Keiwan Ratliff, CB, Florida

  51. Cincinnati Bengals: Ben Utecht, TE, Minnesota

  52. Minnesota Vikings: Benny Sapp, CB, Northern Iowa

  53. Seattle Seahawks: Derrick Hamilton, WR, Clemson

  54. Cincinnati Bengals: Will Allen, S, Ohio State

  55. Green Bay Packers: Claude Harriott, DE, Pittsburgh

  56. Miami Dolphins: Jay Shivers, S, Arizona State

  57. Baltimore Ravens: Michael Turner, RB, Northern Illinois

  58. Dallas Cowboys: Tony Hargrove, DE, Georgia Tech

  59. Houston Texans: Shannon Snell, G, Florida

  60. St. Louis Rams: Junior Siavii, DT, Oregon

  61. Tennessee Titans: Quincy Wilson, RB, West Virginia

  62. Atlanta Falcons: Cody Pickett, QB, Washington

  63. Kansas City Chiefs: DeMarco McNeil, DT, Auburn

  64. Carolina Panthers: Clarence Moore, WR, Northern Arizona

  65. New England Patriots: James Newson, WR, Oregon State

  66. Philadelphia Eagles: Shane Olivea, OT, Ohio State

  67. St. Louis Rams: Mike Karney, FB, Arizona State

  68. Philadelphia Eagles: Marcell Allmond, CB, USC

  69. New York Jets: Rufus Brown, CB, Florida State
