Detroit Lions: Peria Jerry, DT, Mississippi
Peria Jerry without a doubt is the best value on the board for the Lions. They need an intimidating presence and someone who can get pressure up the middle with the loss of Cory Redding. James Laurinaitis was in serious consideration here, but Jerry is simply the highest rated player on the board.
Pick change; previously James Laurinaitis, ILB
Detroit Lions Pre-Draft Analysis - Detroit Lions 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
New England Patriots: Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama
The Pats will love Rashad Johnson's intangibles and he fills a need at free safety.
-
Saint Louis Rams: James Laurinaitis, ILB, Ohio State
The Rams have a gaping hole at inside linebacker and jump at the chance to draft Laurinaitis. Will Witherspoon moves outside, Pisa Tinoisamoa and Quintin Culberson compete at SAM, and this leaves inside linebacker as one of the Rams top needs.
Pick change; previously Rey Maualuga, ILB
St. Louis Rams Pre-Draft Analysis - St. Louis Rams 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
Cleveland Browns: William Moore, S, Missouri
The loss of Sean Jones to the Philadelphia Eagles means the Browns could be looking for a strong safety early on in the 2009 NFL Draft.
Cleveland Browns Pre-Draft Analysis - Cleveland Browns 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
Seattle Seahawks: Brian Cushing, OLB, USC
The Seahawks have a need to fill at outside linebacker with the recent trade of Julian Peterson. Chris Wells drew serious consideration here, but I think Seattle feels like stongside linebacker is a bigger need than running back.
Seattle Seahawks Pre-Draft Analysis - Seattle Seahawks 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
Cincinnati Bengals: Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State
This is a complete steal for Cincinnati, but in the end I think some team would trade up into the lower part of the first round or high part of the second round for Chris Wells. He is a perfect fit for this offense as this team moves forward with Andre Smith to improve the running game.
Pick change; previously Donald Brown, RB

-
Jacksonville Jaguars: Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina
Hakeem Nicks takes a huge hit in my 2009 NFL Mock Draft, but he is the reliable receiver Jacksonville offense lacks. Matt Jones really stepped up in the 2008 season, but unfortunately, his actions off the field might have cost him a career in the NFL.
Jacksonville Jaguars Pre-Draft Analysis - Jacksonville Jaguars 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
Oakland Raiders: Connor Barwin, DE, Cincinnati
Connor Barwin has the great measurables that Al Davis wants on his defense, as Barwin registered a 4.53 40 time at the Scouting Combine.
Oakland Raiders Pre-Draft Analysis - Oakland Raiders 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
Green Bay Packers: Jarron Gilbert, DE, San Jose State
After passing up on Tyson Jackson in the first round, the Packers need to come back and draft a 5-technique. Gilbert has a very high talent level, but plays with some inconsistency.
Pick change; previously Clint Sintim, OLB
Green Bay Packers Pre-Draft Analysis - Green Bay Packers 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
Buffalo Bills: Phil Loadholt, T, Oklahoma
The Bills feel Loadholt's value is too good to pass up on here and they think he can be a right tackle as they move Langston Walker from right to left.
Pick change; previously Paul Kruger, DE
Buffalo Bills Pre-Draft Analysis - Buffalo Bills 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
San Francisco 49ers: Brian Robiskie, WR, Ohio State
Josh Morgan looks promising at wideout for San Francisco, but another weapon offensively is needed.

-
Miami Dolphins: Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest
The Dolphins need to replace Andre Goodman at corner, and Alphonso Smith might be able to give immediate playing time.
-
New York Giants: Patrick Chung, S, Oregon
The Giants might be looking for more safety help opposite Kenny Phillips. Patrick Chung is a great run defender and brings more leadership to the defensive backfield.
Pick change; previously Cornelius Ingram, TE
-
Houston Texans: Sean Smith, S, Utah
The Texans will be targeting a free safety in the second round in my estimation. Smith, Rashad Johnson, Louis Delmas and Darcel McBath will all get consideration.
Pick change; previously Sherrod Martin, S
-
New England Patriots: Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma
Pats add a weapon offensively in the receiving game to give Tom Brady a young playmaker.
Pick change; previously Jarron Gilbert, DL
-
Denver Broncos: Clint Sintim, OLB, Virginia
The Broncos will be targeting an outside linebacker here opposite Elvis Dumervil. Dumervil could become a 15-plus sack guy in the 3-4 system, but I doubt Josh McDaniels will show loyalty to Jarvin Moss, whom he did not draft. Sintim played in the 3-4 at Virginia, which makes for a seamless transition.
Pick change; previously Fili Moala, DT
Denver Broncos Pre-Draft Analysis - Denver Broncos 2009 NFL Free Agent Moves
-
Chicago Bears: Darcel McBath, FS, Texas Tech
Again, you see a major ripple effect in my mock based on the Jason Peters trade if you read my first round. Darcel McBath is a ballhawk at safety and would fit in Lovie Smith's defense.
-
Cleveland Browns: Travis Beckum, TE, Wisconsin
Cleveland needs to fill the void left by trading away Kellen Winslow...good luck with that.
Pick change; previously Juaquin Iglesias, WR
-
Dallas Cowboys: Sherrod Martin, S, Troy
Safety is the biggest need for the Cowboys, and Sherrod Martin's measurables will get him drafted much earlier than people expect.
Pick change; previously Chris Baker, DT
-
New York Jets: Mike Wallace, WR, Mississippi
Mike Wallace would provide a great vertical threat for Josh Freeman in this offense.
-
Philadelphia Eagles: LeSean McCoy, RB, Pittsburgh
The Eagles seem to be shying away in the media from taking a bigger back, and I think they are telling the truth. LeSean McCoy can be the explosive threat next to Brian Westbrook that fits Andy Reid's offense.
Pick change; previously Andre Brown, RB
-
Minnesota Vikings: Percy Harvin, WR, Florida
The Vikes gave serious consideration to Percy Harvin in the first round, but he falls to them here because of serious character and durability concerns. I am not buying all this "first-round lock" propaganda by the media that has failed to truly analyze the NFL Draft further than whatever they are being told.
Pick change; previously Evander Hood, DT

New York Jets: Mike Wallace, WR, Mississippi
Mike Wallace would provide a great vertical threat for Josh Freeman in this offense.

Pick change; previously Evander Hood, DT
-
Atlanta Falcons: Tyrone McKenzie, OLB, South Florida
Tyrone McKenzie is a ridiculously underrated talent. He has the athleticism and instincts to thrive in Atlanta's scheme. This is one of Atlanta's biggest needs and I expect it to be fulfilled in the second or third round. McKenzie, Marcus Freeman and Kaluka Maiava are all good fits.
Pick change; previously Louis Delmas, S
-
Miami Dolphins: Ron Brace, NT, Boston College
Jason Ferguson is getting up there in years, and if the Dolphins could land Ron Brace, this would be an outstanding long-term investment.
-
Baltimore Ravens: Shawn Nelson, TE, Southern Mississippi
Tight ends just aren't a big need. Shawn Nelson falls and the Ravens look to maximize value here. They need a weapon opposite Todd Heap who can block, as Walter mentioned. Nelson opens things up even more for Joe Flacco with the addition of Jeremy Maclin in the first round.
Pick change; previously Phil Loadholt, T
-
New England Patriots: Max Unger, OL, Oregon
Max Unger fits exactly what Bill Belichick looks for in terms of toughness, versatility and intelligence.
-
Carolina Panthers: Sen'Derrick Marks, DT, Auburn
More defensive linemen are needed for Carolina, especially if they foolishly trade away Julius Peppers, one of the best defensive players in the game, for a measley No. 34 overall pick.
-
New York Giants: Jared Cook, TE, South Carolina
The Giants continue to look for more vertical weapons, though I think this pick will be traded for Braylon Edwards when push comes to shove. This pick gives Eli Manning more potential for yards per catch at tight end than Kevin Boss does.
Pick change; previously Percy Harvin, WR
-
Indianapolis Colts: Fili Moala, DT, USC
Fili Moala fits the profile of a Colt defensive tackle because he is highly athletic and can play in the two-gap scheme.
Pick change; previously Kory Sheets, RB
-
Tennessee Titans: D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt
Nick Harper will be 35 years old this season and D.J. Moore can be a No. 2 opposite Cortland Finnegan.
-
Arizona Cardinals: Kory Sheets, RB, Purdue
After passing up on a running back in the first round because Donald Brown and Knowshon Moreno were off the board, the Cardinals take one here. I think the best fits would be Sheets or Javon Ringer.
Pick change; previously Jonathan Luigs, C
-
Pittsburgh Steelers: Eric Wood, C, Louisville
Justin Hartwig needs to be upgraded in the middle of the offensive line. Eric Wood can be the line general Ben Roethlisberger needs under center.
