The order of this 2014 NFL Mock Draft is based on my NFL Power Rankings.

*** THIS IS A LIVE 2014 NFL MOCK DRAFT. PICKS ARE BEING POSTED NOW. TO SEE PREVIOUS VERSIONS, CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVED 2014 NFL MOCK DRAFT SECTION. FOLLOW @walterfootball FOR UPDATES ***

  1. St. Louis Rams: Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Alec Ogletree, DT and DeAndre Hopkins, WR

The Rams spent a first-round pick on a defensive tackle in 2012, but they could do so again sometime soon. Kendall Langford, signed to a 4-year, $24 million contract last offseason, has been a disappointment. He won't be around much longer at his high salary if he continues to struggle.

  2. St. Louis Rams: David Yankey, OT, Stanford
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Alec Ogletree, DT and DeAndre Hopkins, WR

The Rams signed Jake Long, which will move Rodger Saffold to right tackle. For the time being anyway. There's some speculation that St. Louis could trade Saffold. Regardless, Saffold will be a free agent in March 2014.

  3. Minnesota Vikings: Loucheiz Purifoy, CB, Florida
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Sylvester Williams, DT and Manti Te'o, ILB

The Vikings shocked many by cutting long-time corner Antoine Winfield just prior to the start of free agency. Thus, they have a big need at the position they'll have to address shortly.

A 6-1 corner with a potential high 4.3 40, Loucheiz Purifoy is a beast on special teams in terms of blocking kicks. He had two blocks in 2012.

  4. Chicago Bears: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Sheldon Richardson, DT

Nearly every Chicago cornerback's contract expires next offseason. New corners will obviously need to be acquired.

  5. Pittsburgh Steelers: C.J. Mosley, ILB, Alabama
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Jarvis Jones, DE/OLB

Gerry Dulac told Path to the Draft that the Steelers are searching for an inside linebacker. They're even considering one at No. 17 overall. If they can't land one early for some reason, they'll use an early selection on an inside linebacker early in the 2014 NFL Draft.

  6. Miami Dolphins: Aaron Lynch, DE, South Florida
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Tyler Eifert, TE

The Dolphins will give Olivier Vernon a shot as the primary pass-rusher across from Cameron Wake this season. If Vernon doesn't perform up to expectations, they'll consider someone like Aaron Lynch in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

  7. Green Bay Packers: Bryan Stork, C, Florida State
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Datone Jones, DE/DT

I've been mocking a center to the Packers in Rounds 2-4 since October or November - when it was obvious that Jeff Saturday was weighing down the team. Saturday made the Pro Bowl somehow, but he has since retired. The 2013 center class is not a good one, so Green Bay may have to wait until 2014 to address the position.

  8. New Orleans Saints: Louis Nix, NT, Notre Dame
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Kenny Vaccaro, S

The Saints plan on starting Brodrick Bunkley at nose tackle this season. This is a new position for Bunkley, so New Orleans may have to look for a new nose tackle if he doesn't work out.

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Ed Reynolds, S, Stanford
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Eric Reid, S

Taylor Mays was so bad at safety that the Bengals had to move cornerback Nate Clements over to the position during the 2012 campaign. If they can't find an upgrade at safety this offseason, they'll have to do so the following spring.

  10. Houston Texans: Chaz Green, OT, Florida
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Justin Hunter, WR

The Texans were heavily considering a right tackle in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Maybe they'll take one two years later.

  11. New York Giants: Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Dee Milliner, CB

The Giants signed Cullen Jenkins and Mike Patterson away from the Eagles this offseason, but they're just short-term fixed on the interior of the defensive line.

  12. Atlanta Falcons: Scott Chrichton, DE/OLB, Oregon State
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Desmond Trufant, CB

The Falcons just signed Osi Umenyiora - go here for my Umenyiora signing grade - but the Falcons still need one more defensive end. They may actually have to replace Umenyiora next spring if he plays as poorly as he did for the Giants in 2012.

  13. New England Patriots: Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Jesse Williams, NT

The Patriots' receiver position is a mess. Danny Amendola was brought in to replace Wes Welker, but Brandon Lloyd was cut. New England's other top wideouts include Donald Jones and Michael Jenkins.

  14. San Francisco 49ers: Deshazor Everett, CB, Texas A&M
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Jonathan Cyprien, S

The 49ers can afford to take one of the best players available on the board with this pick because they have fewer needs than most teams. They could stand to find help at cornerback, especially given that as a 33-year-old, Carlos Rogers will be due more than $6 million.

  15. Denver Broncos: Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): Tank Carradine, DE

The Broncos are interested in tall corners. They'll need one when Champ Bailey moves on.

  16. Seattle Seahawks: James Hurst, OT, North Carolina
2013 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/25): None

Congratulations to the Seahawks for winning Super Bowl XLVIII! The MVP? Ruskell Wilkens, of course. I mean Russell Wilson.

Protecting Wilkens/Wilson will be paramount despite his unbelievable elusiveness. The Seahawks have a big void at the right tackle position. Breno Giacomini was constantly abused this past season.
