-
Houston Texans: E.J. Gaines, CB, Missouri
There are a few areas the Texans need to address outside of the quarterback position. They need to find a new second running back, upgrade the outside linebacker position, obtain another tight end and acquire a better nickel.
Follow @walterfootball for updates.
-
Washington Redskins: Rashaad Reynolds, CB, Oregon State
The Redskins just re-signed DeAngelo Hall, but he won't be around much longer. Tracy Porter won't be either once he begins struggling again.
Pick change; previously Donte Moncrief, WR
-
Atlanta Falcons: Charles Sims, RB, West Virginia
The Falcons may search for their running back of the future in the middle rounds. Steven Jackson won't be around much longer if he keeps playing like he did in 2013.
-
New York Jets: Dri Archer, RB/WR, Kent State
Here's another weapon for Geno Smith. Dri Archer could serve as a dangerous weapon coming out of the backfield. Sorry I don't have Archer in the first round, by the way. Perhaps if I had agents feeding me shaky info, I could move him up.
-
Jacksonville Jaguars: Chris Watt, G, Notre Dame
The Jaguars have a major hole at left guard, so they'll have to shore that up to help protect their new quarterback.
-
Cleveland Browns: Marcus Smith, DE/OLB, Louisville
Paul Kruger predictably failed to live up to his price tag this past season. The Browns may want to bring in another pass-rusher if they have plans on releasing Kruger after the 2014 season.
-
Oakland Raiders: JuWuan James, OT, Tennessee
The Raiders signed Austin Howard to play guard. That means they have a gaping hole at right tackle. They'll need to find help to protect their new quarterback.
Pick change; previously Jack Mewhort, OT
-
Minnesota Vikings: Jackson Jeffcoat, DE, Texas
Jared Allen, a free agent, is not expected back in Minnesota. The Vikings will have to find someone else to rush the passer.
-
Buffalo Bills: Christian Kirksey, LB, Iowa
I hope the Bills don't think that Keith Rivers is a long-term option (or any sort of option) for them at linebacker.
-
St. Louis Rams: Dakota Dozier, G, Furman
The Rams still have a hole at one of the guard positions, even after retaining Rodger Saffold.
-
Detroit Lions: Caraun Reid, DT, Princeton
The Lions have said that they plan on drafting a defensive tackle to push Nick Fairley. There's a chance that'll happen at No. 10 with Aaron Donald, but it's more likely to be a Round 2-4 pick.
-
Tennessee Titans: Trevor Reilly, DE/OLB, Utah
The Titans signed Shaun Phillips, but he's just a temporarily solution at outside linebacker. A long-term answer is needed.
Pick change; previously Rashaad Reynolds, CB
-
New York Giants: Jordan Zumwalt, LB, UCLA
The Giants found some linebacker help in free agency, but they still could use another player to strengthen the group.
-
Jacksonville Jaguars: Will Sutton, DT, Arizona State
The Jaguars have just one interior defensive lineman who can rush the passer (Sen'Derrick Marks). They may want to add another to bolster their rotation.
-
New York Jets: Yawin Smallwood, ILB, Connecticut
The Jets may spend a mid-round choice to upgrade their depth at inside linebacker, which is lacking right now.
-
Miami Dolphins: Daniel McCullers, NT, Tennessee
The Dolphins retained Randy Starks, but lost Paul Soliai to the Falcons. Here's a big body to replace him.
-
Chicago Bears: Tom Savage, QB, Pittsburgh
Josh McCown is gone, so the Bears don't have anyone capable behind the oft-injured Jay Cutler.
-
Pittsburgh Steelers: Brent Urban, DE/DT Virginia
The Steelers lost Ziggy Hood and Al Woods in free agency. Neither was an impactful player, but the team is severely lacking in depth up front.
Pick change; previously Bruce Ellington, WR
-
Dallas Cowboys: Chris Smith, DE/OLB, Arkansas
The Cowboys need another pass-rusher, so expect them to add a defensive end in the first few rounds of the 2014 NFL Draft.
-
Arizona Cardinals: Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford
Last year's second-round pick, Kevin Minter, will likely start for the departed Karlos Dansby. Depth is needed at inside linebacker, however.
-
Green Bay Packers: Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson
Mike McCarthy told the media that he wants to draft a quarterback early. Can you blame him after what happened this past season?
-
Philadelphia Eagles: Dontae Johnson, S, N.C. State
Philadelphia's defense was terrible for many reasons, one of which is the safety position. Malcolm Jenkins was signed, but help is still needed there. Nate Allen is just too unreliable to be one of the starters.
Pick change; previously Terrance Mitchell, CB
-
Cincinnati Bengals: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia
The Bengals will keep sticking with Andy Dalton, but they'll need to develop a quarterback just in case Dalton can't get them over the first-round hump.
-
Kansas City Chiefs: Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor
The Chiefs will be looking to add a running back, as Knile Davis is not expected to be ready for the 2014 season.
Pick change; previously JuWuan James, OT
-
San Diego Chargers: Jared Abbrederis, WR, Wisconsin
Keenan Allen is coming off an outstanding rookie campaign, but the Chargers need to bring in another reliable receiver for Philip Rivers.
Pick change; previously Ed Stinson, DE/DT
-
New Orleans Saints: Chris Davis, CB, Auburn
The Saints have some issues at cornerback. Jabari Greer was recently released, as he was coming off a torn ACL.
-
Cleveland Browns: Kenny Ladler, S, Vanderbilt
The Browns need safety depth and perhaps someone to challenge Tashaun Gipson for the starting job.
Pick change; previously Terrance West, RB
-
Carolina Panthers: Anthony Steen, G, Alabama
The Panthers have to draft multiple linemen - preferably ones who won't retire anytime soon.
-
San Francisco 49ers: Logan Thomas, QB, Virginia Tech
The 49ers have so many picks that they'll probably use a mid-rounder on a developmental quarterback. Jim Harbaugh has shown interest in Logan Thomas.
-
New England Patriots: C.J. Fiedeorowicz, TE, Iowa
With Aaron Hernandez gone forever and Rob Gronkowski coming off a serious knee injury, the Patriots may want to bring in another talented tight end.
Pick change; previously Bennett Jackson, CB
-
Denver Broncos: Bruce Ellington, WR, South Carolina
Wes Welker will be a 34-year-old free agent next spring, so the Broncos may want to think about bringing in a young slot receiver.
Pick change; previously Brent Urban, DE/DT
-
Seattle Seahawks: Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, G, Canada
The Seahawks have shown interest in the top-ranked Canadian, who would probably be a second-day prospect had he played at a Division I American school.
-
Detroit Lions: Phillip Gaines, CB, Rice
It never hurts to have as many skilled corners as possible when battling Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler twice per season.
Pick change; previously Gabe Ikard, C
-
Baltimore Ravens: Victor Hampton, CB, South Carolina
The Ravens don't have much depth at corner, so they may use one of their new compensatory picks to fix that.
-
Houston Texans: Arthur Lynch, TE, Georgia
The Texans are looking to add a new tight end after cutting Owen Daniels.
-
Detroit Lions: Jon Halapio, G, Florida
More interior offensive line depth for the Lions, who are really hurting in that area.
-
New York Jets: Morgan Breslin, DE/OLB, USC
The Jets have a great interior pass rush, but they need to become more potent on the outside.
Pick change; previously Trevor Reilly, DE/OLB
-
Baltimore Ravens: Justin Ellis, NT, Louisiana Tech
The Ravens plan on moving Haloti Ngata outside, so they'll need to add some competition and/or depth at nose tackle.
-
Atlanta Falcons: Seantrel Henderson, OT, Miami
As you can read in our 2014 NFL Draft Rumors page, offensive line coach Mike Tice really took a liking to Seantrel Henderson at the Senior Bowl.
-
New England Patriots: Jordan Tripp, OLB, Montana
The Patriots want to add a speedy linebacker, which is why they brought in Wesley Woodyard for a visit. They couldn't sign him, so they'll have to acquire one in the draft instead.
