The order of this 2014 NFL Mock Draft is based on my NFL Power Rankings.

*** THIS IS A LIVE 2014 NFL MOCK DRAFT. PICKS ARE BEING POSTED NOW. TO SEE PREVIOUS VERSIONS, CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVED 2014 NFL MOCK DRAFT SECTION. FOLLOW @walterfootball FOR UPDATES ***

  1. Houston Texans: James Hurst, OT, North Carolina
As mentioned earlier, teams that spend early picks on quarterbacks often double up on offense. If the Texans decide to do that, they could certainly upgrade the right tackle position, which is a big problem area for them.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

  2. Washington Redskins: Stephon Tuitt, DE/DT, Notre Dame
The Redskins need help all over their defensive, including up front. They're getting no push from their defensive line.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Cyril Richardson, G/OT, Baylor
The Raiders need multiple upgrades on their offensive line. Lucas Nix might be the worst starting guard in the NFL, so he needs to be replaced.

Pick change; previously Anthony Johnson, DT

  4. Cleveland Browns: Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State
The Browns have a great front seven, but the one liability in the group is Craig Robertson, who has been abused in coverage this season.

  5. Atlanta Falcons: Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU
Here's more front seven help, as the Falcons need to concentrate on bolstering their pass rush this offseason.

Pick change; previously Cyril Richardson, G

  6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Trent Murphy, DE/OLB, Stanford
The Buccaneers continue to bolster their defensive line. They're in the bottom half of the league in terms of sacks, so this obviously has to improve because they're in a division with Drew Brees, Matt Ryan and Cam Newton.

Pick change; previously Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson
General manager David Caldwell doesn't seem to be a fan of talented quarterbacks, but he could be forced into taking a potential franchise signal-caller at some point - unless, of course, he still believes that he needs to build around Blaine Gabbert.

Pick change; previously Lache Seastrunk, RB

  8. Minnesota Vikings: Lamarcus Joyner, S, Florida State
The Vikings desperately need help in their secondary, including an upgrade next to Harrison Smith.

Pick change; previously Tajh Boyd, QB

  9. Buffalo Bills: Adrian Hubbard, DE/OLB, Alabama
The Bills spent lots of energy addressing their offense in the 2013 NFL Draft, but they didn't do anything to help their pass rush. That would explain why they traded for Jerry Hughes a couple of days afterward. Hughes has played well this year, but I'm not sure he can be trusted as a long-term solution across from Mario Williams.

  10. New York Giants: Kelcy Quarles, DT, South Carolina
Linval Joseph is an impending free agent, so the Giants will have to find some help at defensive tackle if he leaves.

  11. Tennessee Titans: Bishop Sankey, RB, Washington
There have been reports indicating that Chris Johnson will be cut this offseason. If that's the case, Tennessee will obviously be searching for a new lead running back.

  12. New York Jets: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt
Geno Smith has looked like the worst quarterback in the NFL on many occasions this season - even worse than Brandon Weeden and Jeff Tuel - but it's not like he has much of a chance with his horrific receiving corps. Santonio Holmes can't stay healthy, while Stephen Hill is a bust.

  13. St. Louis Rams: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh
The Rams have a ferocious pass rush, but it could be even better if Kendall Langford is upgraded. Langford signed a big contract nearly two years ago, but he has been a huge disappointment.

  14. Pittsburgh Steelers: Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma
If Ike Taylor were a horse, he would have been on his way to the glue factory a couple of months ago. The Steelers need upgrades all over their defense, including the cornerback position.

  15. Dallas Cowboys: Christian Jones, LB, Florida State
Bruce Carter has been a poor fit in Dallas' new 4-3 system. The Cowboys will have to consider spending an early draft pick on a linebacker.

  16. San Diego Chargers: Jason Verrett, CB, TCU
The Chargers' defense made every single quarterback look like a Pro Bowler earlier in the year. They have a dreadful cornerback situation, which could be remedied with the use of an early-round pick in May's draft.

Pick change; previously Marcus Roberson, CB

  17. Detroit Lions: Bryan Stork, C, Florida State
Dominic Raiola has seemingly been on Detroit's roster forever, but he'll be a 35-year-old free agent in March. The Lions will probably bring in a new center.

  18. Green Bay Packers: A.J. Johnson, ILB, Tennessee
The Packers released Desmond Bishop in the offseason. On top of that, the rapidly aging A.J. Hawk will have an expiring contract soon. Ted Thompson will have to address the inside linebacker position in the near future.

  19. Miami Dolphins: Marcus Roberson, CB, Florida
The Dolphins need help at cornerback. Brent Grimes, coming off a torn Achilles, is just a short-term solution. Dimitri Patterson, the other starter, hasn't been able to stay healthy.

Pick change; previously Kyle Fuller, CB

  20. Arizona Cardinals: Jeremiah Attaochu, DE/OLB, Georgia Tech
The Cardinals, who typically go with the top player on their board, will almost definitely be interested in someone like Jeremiah Attaouchu, as they really need an upgrade at outside linebacker across from Sam Acho.

Pick change; previously Trent Murphy, DE/OLB

  21. Chicago Bears: A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama
It's looking more and more like the Bears will allow Jay Cutler to escape this offseason. If that happens, they'll obviously be searching for a quarterback in the spring.

  22. Baltimore Ravens: Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State
It should be quite apparent that the Ravens desperately need help at receiver. Neither Jacoby Jones nor Marlon Brown should be a No. 2 wideout in the NFL. Think Joe Flacco misses Anquan Boldin?

  23. Philadelphia Eagles: Craig Loston, S, LSU
Philadelphia's defense is terrible for many reasons, one of which is the safety position. Nate Allen is garbage, while Patrick Chung can't stay healthy.

Pick change; previously Lamarcus Joyner, S

  24. Indianapolis Colts: Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State
We now see what Indianapolis' offense looks like without Reggie Wayne. Wayne will be back next year, but he won't be around forever. The Colts need a long-term solution at wideout to go along with T.Y. Hilton.

  25. Cincinnati Bengals: Jackson Jeffcoat, DE, Texas
The Bengals drafted Margus Hunt, but they have Michael Johnson hitting free agency soon. With Carlos Dunlap recently extended, it's very unlikely that Johnson will be retained.

  26. San Francisco 49ers: Odell Beckham, WR, LSU
Anquan Boldin and Mario Manningham will both be free agents next March. The 49ers will need a new receiver to complement Michael Crabtree.

  27. Carolina Panthers: Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor
Cam Newton has made huge improvements this year, but he could still really benefit from a potent, pass-catching weapon coming out of the backfield.

Pick change; previously Ka'Deem Crey, RB

  28. San Francisco 49ers: Dominique Easley, DE, Florida
The 49ers will need a successor for Justin Smith (Tank Carradine, maybe?) and also some depth on the defensive line. With four Day 2 selections, they can take a chance on someone like Dominique Easley, a tremendous talent who is coming off a terrible injury.

  29. New Orleans Saints: Corey Robinson, OT, South Carolina
The Saints don't value offensive tackles enough to take one in the first round, but perhaps they'll search for an upgrade over the struggling Charles Brown on Day 2.

  30. New England Patriots: Travis Swanson, C, Arkansas
Ryan Wendell, an impending free agent, has been most responsible for Tom Brady's poor pass protection.

  31. Denver Broncos: Ben Gardner, DE, Stanford
The Broncos are getting to the quarterback once again now that Von Miller is back in the lineup, but they still need to upgrade their pass rush. They can't count on Shaun Phillips to produce much longer.

Pick change; previously David Yankey, G/OT

  32. Seattle Seahawks: David Yankey, G/OT, Stanford
The Seahawks, who can afford to go with the best player available, have multiple areas of concern on their offensive line, including both guard spots. Imagine how potent Russell Wilson would be with upgraded protection.

Pick change; previously Ben Gardner, DE
