  • Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    With the additions of Anquan Boldin and Donte' Stallworth in free agency, and Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta in the 2010 NFL Draft, I think you have to consider Joe Flacco as a low-end QB1 right now. Remember, he had a six-game stretch at the beginning of the 2009 season when he threw for 1,674 yards and 11 touchdowns - and that was with Derrick Mason and crap as his targets. Flacco could have pieced together a huge statistical year had he not suffered multiple injuries in the middle of the season.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 4,050 passing yards. 25 passing TDs. 11 INTs. 100 rushing yards. 1 rushing TD.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points (QB Friendly): 346.



  • Ray Rice, RB, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    Ray Rice rushed for 1,339 yards, and caught 78 passes for 702 receiving yards in 2009. What's scary is that he could be even better in 2010.

    As noted in my 2010 Fantasy Football: Free Agency Stock Up page, Rice will really benefit from Anquan Boldin's presence. Boldin will both stretch the field and help out with his great run blocking.

    The problem with Rice remains the same - Willis McGahee and LeRon McClain will vulture his touchdowns away. However, that really won't matter much if Rice exceeds 2,100 total yards.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 1,400 rushing yards. 76 catches. 680 receiving yards. 9 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 262.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 338.

  • Willis McGahee, RB, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    Unless Ray Rice gets injured, Willis McGahee is only going to have about 125 touches this year. However, he's still a decent fantasy option because he'll likely score double-digit touchdowns in Baltimore's high-octane offense McGahee notched 11 scores in 2009. He's great for touchdown-only leagues.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 575 rushing yards. 16 catches. 100 receiving yards. 10 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 127.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 143.

  • Le'Ron McClain, RB, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    Le'Ron McClain is a great blocking fullback, but he'll need an injury to Ray Rice or Willis McGahee to return to fantasy significance.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 225 rushing yards. 15 catches. 90 receiving yards. 3 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 49.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 64.



  • Anquan Boldin, WR, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    If a 35-year-old Derrick Mason can catch 73 passes for 1,028 yards and seven touchdowns in Baltimore's offense, I think Anquan Boldin can at least match those numbers (assuming he stays healthy, of course). The Ravens didn't sign and draft all of these receivers for Joe Flacco just so they could run the ball some more; they're going to be airing it out quite a bit, and Boldin will be Flacco's primary end-zone target.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 78 catches. 940 yards. 9 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 148.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 226.

  • Derrick Mason, WR, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    Derrick Mason has amazingly topped 1,000 receiving yards in all but one season dating back to 2001. He has been the epitome of consistency. Unfortunately, this looks like the year that Mason will fall off. I'm not expecting a huge decline, but he's no longer the No. 1 wideout on the team. He also turned 36 in January.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 61 catches. 840 yards. 5 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 114.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 175.

  • Donte' Stallworth, WR, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    After a year off from football, Donte' Stallworth returns as Baltimore's slot receiver. I wouldn't draft him, but I'd suggest picking him up if either Anquan Boldin or Derrick Mason gets injured.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 32 catches. 450 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 57.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 89.



  • Dennis Pitta, TE, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    The Ravens have three tight ends who figure to see a ton of playing time. My favorite to lead the team in receiving yardage at the position is Dennis Pitta. He played in a pro-style offense at BYU and is a better receiver than Ed Dickson.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 28 catches. 310 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 43.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 71.

  • Todd Heap, TE, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    Todd Heap was actually a decent fantasy option last year, as he caught 53 balls for 593 yards and six touchdowns. Unfortunately for him, Baltimore drafted two tight ends (Ed Dickson, Dennis Pitta) who will eat into the injury-prone Heap's production.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 25 catches. 280 yards. 2 total TDs.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 40.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 65.

  • Ed Dickson, TE, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    Ed Dickson is a phenomenal blocker, and with Dennis Pitta and Todd Heap on the roster, Dickson may not see many targets. This is a situation I'll closely be monitoring during the preseason, and as I do every year, I'll keep you closely apprised with everything I observe.

    Projected 2010 Fantasy Stats: 17 catches. 190 yards. 1 total TD.
    Projected 2010 Fantasy Points: 25.
    Projected 2010 PPR Fantasy Points: 42.

  • Shayne Graham, K, Ravens. Bye: 8.
    Shayne Graham will choke in the playoffs, but that's not a concern in the fantasy realm. What's important there is that Graham makes his field goals and will have plenty of kicking opportunities in Baltimore's explosive offense.

    Projected 2009 Fantasy Stats: 25-30 FG (1-2 from 50+; 7-9 from 40-49). 46 XP.
    Projected 2009 Fantasy Points: 128.

  • Baltimore Ravens. Bye: 8.
    If Terrell Suggs is actually in shape - he's participating in minicamps for the first time since 2007 - Baltimore will record more sacks and generate an even greater amount of turnovers. As always, the Ravens' defense will be one of the top units to own in fantasy.
