Philadelphia Eagles Upcoming 2025 Draft Picks (10)
Grade: A+
Jihaad Campbell could have easily gone in the teens. It was shocking to see him fall, and that may have been a byproduct of some injury concerns. Still, he provides way too much value at this spot. Campbell can play both linebacker and edge, much like Haason Reddick. The Eagles got a ton of production out of Reddick, so it makes sense for them to draft Campbell.
Grade: D
The Eagles had interest in the safeties, so when Xavier Watts fell to them, I thought it was going to be a no-brainer pick. Instead, they made a rare mistake by drafting Andrew Mukuba, who is a mid-round prospect and a very mediocre athlete. I don’t understand why the Eagles made this pick, given that there were better safeties available
Grade: B
Is anyone surprised that the Eagles drafted a defensive lineman? Ty Robinson has limited upside, so I don’t love this pick, but he has a relentless motor and could be a decent rotational backup in the NFL. I thought he’d go around this range.
Grade: B
The Eagles lost Darius Slay this offseason, so they needed to obtain at least one cornerback. They got a decent one here in Mac McWilliams, an average athlete who was expected to go around this range.
Grade: A+
The Eagles drafted a talented Georgia defender? So shocking! Smel Mondon Jr. has plus speed and athleticism to go with a good skill set. I thought he could have been drafted two rounds earlier, so I'm a big fan of this selection.
Grade: A-
The Eagles love to address the trenches. They have their center locked up with a new contract, but Drew Kendall can be a solid backup for them. Kendall was projected to go earlier than this, so I like the value.
Grade: B+
The Eagles didn't need a backup for Jalen Hurts because they have Tanner "The Irish Assassin" McKee, but Kyle McCord was just too good to pass up at this spot. McCord led all of college football in passing yards, so I projected him in the fourth round.
Grade: B+
The Eagles needed to find a successor for Lane Johnson, who is now in his mid-30s. Perhaps that'll be Myles Hinton. The Michigan product was projected to go in this round, so this is a solid pick.
Grade: A
Another player who could end up being a successor for Lane Johnson. I like this pick better. Cameron Williams could have gone earlier than this, as he is a massive tackle with loads of potential, but he's very raw and will need multiple years to develop.
Grade: B
The Eagles are drafting another pass rusher, which can't surprise anyone. Antwaun Powell-Ryland is not someone I thought would be drafted early in the process, but there was some buzz around him late in the process, so it makes sense that Philadelphia would take him.
Walt's Mock Selections as of 4/25/2025 -View Current Mock Draft
Round: 1

The Eagles spent last year's first-round pick on a safety, and they could do that again. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is gone, opening up a big hole at safety. A quarterback in high school, Malaki Starks is a star in the making, according to Charlie Campbell's sources. *** OTHER 2025 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: *** 1. Josh Conerly, OT - A successor for Lane Johnson is needed. 2. Mike Green, DE - Josh Sweat is now in Arizona, so he'll be missed unless the Eagles land another talented edge rusher. Pick change; previously Josh Conerly, OT Go to 2025 NFL Mock Draft by Charlie Campbell Go to 2026 NFL Mock Draft by Walter Cherepinsky
Round: 2

The Eagles will be looking for an edge player to replace Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham. Nic Scourton had a breakout '23 season with 10 sacks. He has a huge frame and possesses massive upside as a 4-3 defensive end. Pick change; previously Xavier Watts, S Go to 2025 NFL Mock Draft by Charlie Campbell Go to 2026 NFL Mock Draft by Walter Cherepinsky
Round: 3

The Eagles lost Darius Slay, so they'll be looking to bring in a new cornerback. Justin Walley projects as a slot cornerback who can prevent separation. Pick change; previously Dylan Fairchild, G
Round: 4

Mekhi Becton is gone, so he'll need to be replaced. Either way, the Eagles are always eager to add depth to their offensive line. Dylan Fairchild is a nasty blocker who is equal at pass protection and run blocking. Pick change; previously Tonka Hemingway, DT
Round: 5

The Eagles will need to find a potential successor for Lane Johnson at some point. Jalen Travis is an athletic tackle with good length. Pick change; previously Jaylin Noel, WR
Round: 5

The Eagles lost Kenneth Gainwell to the Steelers, so they'll need a new running back. Travis Etienne's brother is small, but has home run ability. He's a quality receiver out of the backfield.
Round: 5

The Eagles love drafting edge rushers, so they'll make sure to do that at some point. Antwaun Powell-Ryland needs to bulk up, but he's a dangerous pass rusher and could serve as a specialist.
Round: 5

The Eagles lost a couple of cornerbacks this offseason, so they'll need to address the position at some point. Bihal Kone is a big cornerback who displayed impressive tackling skills.

2024 NFL Draft Selections and Grades
A Wow, not a Georgia or Alabama player? Who kidnapped Howie Roseman? This is actually a great pick, and I'm happier about my Eagles 17/1 Super Bowl bet. There was talk about Quinyon Mitchell going No. 13 to the Raiders or No. 15 to the Colts, so the Eagles are getting great value with arguably the top cornerback in the draft at No. 22 overall.
A+ The Eagles have multiple second-round picks, so it makes sense that they would trade up, especially for a talented defensive back like Cooper DeJean. The Iowa product is very versatile and possesses high upside with his great athleticism. He should have been chosen in the first round, so I love this pick. I also am a big fan of the Eagles being aggressive with their Super Bowl window being wide open.
A I mocked Jalyx Hunt to the Eagles in the second round of my re-draft ahead of Friday. Jalyx Hunt is a project, but he has immense upside and could be a Pro Bowler one day. It's not a surprise that the Eagles are landing a talented player who can contribute in the future.
A Will Shipley had some third-round consideration, so the Eagles are getting a good value after trading down. It's not a surprise that they drafted a running back, given that Saquon Barkley has an extensive injury history. Shipley is an efficient runner who can be a solid receiver out of the backfield.
B Any secondary player makes sense for the Redskins, given how poor they were against the pass last year. I figured Dominique Hampton would go around the Round 4-6 range, so he's a logical pick for the Redskins, though he'll play mostly on special teams this year.
B The Jets traded Zach Wilson, so they needed to find a long-term answer after Aaron Rodgers retires. Jordan Travis is coming off a horrible lower-leg injury, but it's not like he's going to have to play any time soon, so the Jets will be able to develop him.
A- No one should be surprised that the Eagles are drafting an offensive lineman. Trevor Keegan was a steady and solid guard for Michigan for three seasons. He's a stout run blocker, but must improve in pass protection. He'll have time to do that sitting behind some talented starters. He could have gone a round or even two earlier than this.
A+ Here's an absolute steal for the Lions, as Christian Mahogany got some third-round consideration. He has some injury stuff from the past, but if he can get over it, he can eventually emerge as a starter. The Lions needed a guard after losing one to free agency.
2023 NFL Draft Selections and Grades
A Drafting Darnell Wright over Peter Skoronski is interesting, as it means the Bears really didn't think he could play left tackle for them. Wright certainly can. He's an athletic tackle who didn't surrender a sack to Hendon Hooker last year. He also shut down Will Anderson. Justin Fields has to be thrilled about this selection.
A+ LOL wow. How did the Eagles land Nolan Smith when they easily could have selected him at No. 10? This is ridiculous, but as the adage goes, dumb teams make dumb picks, and the smart teams benefit. The Eagles are going to have an absurd defensive front that will demolish every quarterback in their path.
C- The Texans had to move up for a center and not a receiver? Really? Juice Scruggs isn't even a great value here. I think he's a solid prospect and fills a need, but I don't get why Houston gave up a resource for him.
D Michael Wilson is not someone I would have drafted in this range. He's a huge receiver and runs routes well, but there are some serious speed concerns. He also has major injury question marks.
B Antoine Green was an inconsistent player at North Carolina. He has some deep speed ability, but he'll need to be a more consistent player to make it in the pros.
C+ Brandon Hill is an undersized safety who struggles to tackle. I didn't think he would be drafted, but we're entering UDFA territory anyway.
2022 NFL Draft Selections and Grades
A- Grade
The Vikings-Lions trade was shocking. The Eagles-Texans trade is not. This is the least-surprising move of the 2022 NFL Draft. It was rumored that the Ravens loved Jordan Davis, but the Eagles felt the same way about him. The Eagles envision the 350-pound athletic marvel to be a good replacement for Fletcher Cox, so he's not going to just play two downs. His weight is a concern, but the upside is as big as Davis.
B Grade
The Eagles lost Brandon Brooks to retirement this offseason, so they needed another interior lineman. Philadelphia fans will be upset this pick wasn't used on a linebacker, but Jurgens is a solid player who fills a need.
A+ Grade
The Eagles are having an amazing draft weekend. Their latest pick has just made things even better. Nakobe Dean is a first-round prospect who has fallen because of some injury concerns. Those apparently included a pec strain, but seriously, who cares about that? This is a mega steal. Unless Dean has Ebola or something, this pick must be graded as an A+, as Dean easily slots in and upgrades a horrible linebacking corps.
B+ Grade
Thayer Munford played tackle at Ohio State, but he can't handle edge rushers, so he'll have to play at guard. Pass protection will still be an issue, but he should run block well. This is nice value for him.
2021 NFL Draft Selections and Grades
A+ Grade
The Eagles had a chance to trade up with the Falcons for CeeDee Lamb last year. They didn't pull the trigger, which led to them squandering their first-round choice on Jalen Reagor. It seems as though Howie Roseman learned from his crucial mistake last year, making the jump over the Giants for the dynamic Alabama receiver. When Smith, known as the "Slim Reaper" dominated the college football playoff, I never imagined he would be the third receiver chosen in this class, yet here we are. The Eagles added a dynamic talent to their offense, which they sorely needed.
C Grade
Based on his ability alone, Landon Dickerson is worth this pick. He's a very smart center with excellent technique. Unfortunately, he suffered countless injuries at Alabama, so he's a major risk this early in the second round. He makes sense as an eventual replacement for Jason Kelce, but I would've tried to obtain Dickerson in the third round.
B+ Grade
The Panthers traded down a couple of times, so it makes sense that they finally moved up, giving a sixth-round pick to move up three spots. Brady Christiansen was someone I had in the third round, so this makes sense. It also addresses a need, as Carolina had to protect Sam Darnold on the blind side.
C Grade
I mocked Chauncey Golston to the Cowboys, but in the fifth round. He's a high-motor, high-effort player, but he's not very talented. The Cowboys could have done better, but this isn't a terrible pick.
A+ Grade
It'll be interesting to see why Marlon Tuipulotu fell in the 2021 NFL Draft. I had him in the third round, so this is amazing value. Tuipulotu also fills a need, given that the Eagles lost so much talent at defensive tackle recently.
B+ Grade
I wasn't sure if the team that drafted Jacoby Stevens would designate Jacoby Stevens as a linebacker or a safety. Now, we know. Jacoby Stevens is a tweener, but the Eagles needed help at both positions, so perhaps they'll be able to mold Stevens into a quality player for them. I had Stevens drafted earlier, so this is a solid value.
C+ Grade
Doug Pederson is gone, but the Eagles are still spending several picks to address the trenches. This is their third Day 3 pick spent on a defensive lineman. I didn't have Patrick Johnson in my mock, but the seventh round is the time to scoop up priority UDFAs.
B+ Grade
I put William Bradley-King into my seventh round, 18 picks earlier than this. A pass rusher obviously wasn't needed, but it's nice that the Redskins were able to get some depth. Bradley-King is an athletic player with upside, so this is a solid choice.
