My apologies for not being able to record a podcast this week with former Redskins and Cowboys tight end Jean Fugett, our Pro Bowl contributor to WalterFootball.com and a great friend of mine. However, I have a great excuse for not being able to record: the birth of my daughter Sophia Paget on Tuesday afternoon. My wife Amanda was a true champion and set incredible marks of success in managing type-1 diabetes while pregnant. We will never be able to thank enough all the wonderful staff at USF Health and Tampa General Hospital for being utterly amazing and guiding my wife Amanda through her high-risk pregnancy. Dr. Chinedu Nwabuobi and Dr. Karla Leavitt are geniuses and God's gift to pregnant women. The surgeons, nurses, and nurse anesthetists were truly phenomenal. We are most grateful to them for doing nothing short of a perfect job.

Also, I want to express such appreciation and gratitude to Walter Cherepinsky and his wonderful wife Dena. Writing for this site and working with Walt has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. Thank you two so much for the support and help for my family. You guys are amazing people. I have to also thank our editor Ryan Eroh, Jean Fugett, along with lots of scouts, coaches, and executives from around the NFL for their well wishes, generous gifts, and outpouring of support. I really love football and writing about it, but I think you guys are the best part of working in the industry.
