Strengths: Great frame with long arms, great lower body strength, and room to add bulk ... Highly athletic ... Displays great footwork in pass protection ... Quick kick step; gets set quickly ... Shows good posture in pass protection; does not overextend at the waist ... Knows how to counter pass rush moves; good hands ... Explosive athleticism to recover when beat ... Nice mobility to get to the second level ... Displays good awareness of stunts and blitzes ... Very high upside and should start at left tackle immediately.

Weaknesses: Does not show much tenacity in the running game ... Needs to do a better job of getting low in run blocking ... Could stand to put on more upper body strength/bulk ... Loses balance against the bull rush ... Issues with false starts.

Summary: Monroe is a very talented left tackle prospect who will most likely be taken in the top 16 picks. He can fit every scheme and has a nice skill set. Remember, he's the reason Brandon Albert played guard, and now he is the left tackle in Kansas City. Monroe is a blue-chip high school prospect who certainly lived up to the hype.

Player Comparison: Jammal Brown. Jamaal Brown is a very similar to Monroe in terms of size, and he possesses the great feet to man the blind side.
