Strengths: Near prototypical size with great strength for a corner; physically ready for the league ... Elite speed and can recover when beat deep (which rarely happened) ... Physical at the line of scrimmage ... Fluid hips ... Intelligence shows when he can take a receiver out of the route he wants to run ... Consistent wrap-up tackler ... Forced three fumbles in 2008 ... Smart player who does not gamble often ... Does damage in press man coverage showing a knack to bat down passes ... Diagnoses the screen, accelerates, and makes the tackle for a minimal gain ... Very high upside.

Weaknesses: Unimpressive ball skills and should make many more INTs than he does ... Occasionally high in his backpedal ... Needs to show more effort in taking on blocks in the running game ... Needs to show better technique in shedding blocks ... Lacks awareness in zone ... Work ethic and intangibles will go under microscope after being benched by Ron Zook.

Summary: Davis' size, speed, and instincts for the game will make him among the first 10-15 picks, but there is no doubt about it he needs to improve as a player. I was disappointed because I felt like he could have had 7-9 INTs based on the film I watched. His name will be said often during combine week, which is when his stock could soar to being among the top eight picks.

Player Comparison: Quentin Jammer. These are very similar prospects because of their makeup, but Davis has much more speed.
