Round 1

Picks 17-31
17. Steelers: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State

Another stupid pick everyone likes, Porter seems to fit a need and also be a son of the former Steelers great.

18. Lions: Prospect not selected

Not sure if the pick will load because he’s not in the queue, but Brian Breese out of Clemson would be a great addition to the Lions after they just released Michael Brockers.

19. Buccaneers: Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia

Donavan Smith seems to continuously look older and older. Jones would be a huge upgrade long-term.

20. Seahawks: O'Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida

The Seahawks were a surprise last season, and they get the best guard in the draft with this pick to protect Geno Smith and open run lanes for Kenneth Walker.

21. Chargers: John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota

The Chargers might need to grab a WR if Keenan Allen walks, but keeping Justin Herbert protected should be their number one priority.

22. Ravens: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

Some people think Robinson could be drafted as high as number three overall, but here the Ravens do what they do every year: somehow come away with the best player available who fell for one reason or the other. Dobbins threw his teammates under the bus after their final loss this season, and on top of that, and he can’t stay healthy.

23. Vikings: Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma

The Vikings are one of those front-runner teams who seem to collapse at the worst possible time. Harrison should help them close out more leads.

24. Jaguars: Peter Skoronski, OT/G, Northwestern

I’m not sure what the NFL thinks of Skoronski. Either he’s a great technician and could go top 10, OR he will be a guard in the NFL. I’m sure the Jags could find a place for him.

25. Giants: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

The Giants will probably sign or trade for a couple of WRs, but having a slot WR with THIS MUCH talent would be huge. He could fill the Cole Beasley role in Daboll’s offense.

26. Cowboys: Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State

Classic Jerry Jones pick. If Tyron Smith really is cut or traded, why not replace him with a literal giant?

27. Bills: Trenton Simpson, LB, Clemson

NFL linebackers are really getting smaller and smaller. If Edmunds leaves in free agency, Simpson wouldn’t be a bad replacement.

28. Bengals: Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina

The Bengals got screwed in the playoffs by some bad calls. However, they still gave up some bad touchdowns despite the officiating. Cam Smith is a solid cover corner who could find his way on to the field quickly.

29. Saints: Lukas Van Ness, DE, Iowa

Davenport may leave in free agency, and the rest of the D-line is aging. Van Ness would be a high upside pick this late in the first round.

30. Eagles: Nolan Smith, OLB, Georgia

The Eagles grabbed Jordan Davis AND Nakobe Dean from Georgia last year. Nolan Smith was hurt but was a force to be reckoned with when healthy.

31. Chiefs: Isaiah Foskey, DE, Notre Dame

The Chiefs have an aging defense, and Foskey is a prolific pass rusher from Notre Dame who could work his way into the rotation early on.
