Strengths:
  • Elite size and great speed
  • Strength to beat press
  • Breaks tackles and eludes defenders
  • Ability to make the tough catch
  • Willing to go over the middle
  • Game-changer
  • Capable and experienced blocker
  • Played against top competition

    Weaknesses:
  • Will drop some passes
  • Runs before securing the ball
  • Inconsistent route runner
  • Needs to improve focus
  • Injury history

Summary: Julio Jones might have stood out more in college playing on a team not as dedicated to the run featuring Heisman winning running back Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson. On the plus side, Alabama ran a pro-style offense, and Jones gained valued experience blocking downfield. He has some injuries, but plays through them, which is a trait NFL teams look for.
