Round 1 Pick #2 RB Saquon Barkley Penn State

With it becoming more and more obvious that the Browns will not take Barkley with the first overall pick, the Giants can't afford to miss this guy. Barkley has proven over and over that he is the best talent in the draft. The Giants have not had a Running game in several years, and this pick would take a ton of pressure off of Eli Manning. The Giants offense could become extremely talented with the addition of Barkley. If they did draft him, their offense would include Manning, Barkley, Odell Beckham, and Sterling Shepherd. Another option at #2 would be Quenton Nelson. It is true that the Giants do not have much of an offensive line, and no matter how good the running back, he cant go anywhere without a good line. Another thought would be a QB, however, I believe that the Giants will give Manning another chance, and the addition of Barkley could help him out immensely. 

Round 2 Pick #34 CB Isaiah Oliver Colorado

This years cornerback class is one of the best in recent memory. Oliver may have been a first round pick if there were not so many good ones in this draft. Oliver was able to contain some of the Pac 12's best wide receivers in his time as a Buffalo. The Giants offense is obviously the biggest concern, but they can not afford to not spend some draft picks on some top defensive players.

Round 3 Pick #66 DT/DE Rasheem Green USC

With the trade of Jason Pierre-Paul, the Giants need a good defensive lineman to try to replace him. Green is very athletic and could work in at tackle or even edge, although he is better sized as a tackle. Green can have a big effect in the trenches and his athletic frame quickly fills holes the running backs look for. Green is not exactly known for getting to the Quarterback, but is athletic enough to reach him.

 Round 3 Pick #69 OT Brian O'Niell Pittsburgh

The Giants offensive line has struggled to protect whoever was under center last season, as well as whoever was taking handoffs. This may be a later time than many think to address this issue, but O'Neill is underrated in my opinion. After protecting Nathan Peterman for a few years, O'Neill really blossomed this year into a good protector. O'Neill spent several years blocking for James Connor and was a big reason for Connor's success at Pitt.

Round 4 Pick 108 LB Teagray Scales Indiana 

The signing of Alec Ogletree was a good move by New York, but they still need to make a move to improve the linebacker core. Scales performed very well in the Big Ten against some top teams in the NCAA. Scales has very good tackling ability and is fast off the snap, getting to the quarterback quite often. One concern about Scales is his quickness. Scales does not have very quick feet and as a result missed a lot of key tackles in big plays of big games. Scales can cover pretty well. His coverage of the middle of the field often forced quarterbacks to through toward the sidelines.

 Round 4 Pick #135 WR Deontae Burnett USC

With Odell Beckham's contract situation up in the air, it is important to get a young receiver in the mix as a compliment to Sterling Shepherd who is really emerging on the scene in New York.
