Round 1 Pick #3 QB Josh Rosen UCLA

The Jets need a franchise QB and have their opportunity to take one this year. Rosen is highly though of and is believed to be the best QB in the draft. He is ready to take the field now and show he can compete in the NFL. Even with Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater, the Jets need that guy who can bring excitement back to the Jets organization. Rosen possesses the confidence level to make everyone around him excited he is there.

Round 2 Pick #72 OT Joseph Noteboom TCU

If the Jets do take a franchise quarterback, they will need a strong offensive line. Noteboom did a good job at TCU and could transfer into the NFL quite well. Other possibilities for this pick on the offensive line include Martinas Rankin of Mississippi State or Will Hernandez of Texas El-Paso.

Round 4 Pick #107 DT Foley Futakasi UConn

The Jets badly need some good defensive linemen to get pressure on the QB. This may be later than what they will actually start to take some. Futakasi would be a great addition to most defensive lines.

Round 5 Pick #157 CB Darrius Phillips Western Michigan

With no more Revis island, it is time to find a good corner to cover some of the top receivers in the AFC East like Kelvin Benjamin and Christ Hogan. Yes, they did get Buster Skrine who may be their top corner, but Phillips would be a wise selection and should be able to contribute immediately.

Round 6 Pick #179 OLB Dorian O'Daniel Clemson

The linebacker position is a big need for the New York Jets. O'Daniel has speed and the ability to cover tight ends quite well.

Round 7 Pick #235 WR Trey Quinn SMU

Every team would be wise to at least consider some Wide receivers in this years draft. Quinn did well at SMU and was a good secondary receiver behind Courtland Sutton.
