Bears 2019 Mock:

The Bears traded their 1st and 6th round picks in the Khalil Mack trade, their 2nd in the Anthony Miller trade, but may receive two 7th round conditional picks in the Deiondre' Hall trade. They will only have 4 picks with the possibility for 6 (3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 7th, 7th).

Round 3: Isaiah Prince, OT, Ohio State

Not having an earlier pick will hurt the Bears this year. In a class full of high level talent at their main position of need, offensive tackle, they are going to miss out on the hot names in this draft. However, they can still get a decent prospect in the 3rd with Prince. Measure in at 6'6, 306, Prince is a big guy to help beef up the front for Trubisky. He's not a very polished tackle, and is seen as inconsistent at many times, however, he could pan out to be a solid starter in the future for Chicago. Massie isn't a stud at RT and finding a nice compliment for Leno could solidify a weak point this team has had for a few years now. If Prince pans out and develops well, he could be one of the top tackles in the league. 

Round 4: Terry Beckner Jr, 3-4 DE, Missouri

TBJ is a solid interior lineman. He shows burst off the first step and typically causes some disruption in the backfield. However, he is inconsistent rushing the passer and beating double teams. He doesn't post many sack numbers, but gets plenty of TFL for the Tigers. He is coming off of an ACL injury a few years back and looks a bit stiff for a defensive lineman, which may cause him to drop on Draft Day. However, his rotational value in the run game could work wonders for an already monstrous D-Line. If he is still available going into Day 3, I expect teams to try and trade up for him, including the Bears. 

Round 5: Mark Gilbert, CB, Duke

Gilbert suffered a season-ending hip injury this year which will likely affect his draft stock. However, in 2017, Gilbert had 17 PBUs and 6 INTs showing off some impressive ball skills. He is measured at 6'1, 175, so he would need to add some weight to his frame to last in the NFL against strong receivers. This pick adds depth to a position of concern for the Bears. Fuller is a good CB, but tends to be nicked up and has dropped a few crucial INTs; Amukamara is 30, and also is seen a lot on the injury report, and Callahan is typically a slot or nickel CB. This pick gives the Bears a few options and some ball hawking mentality on the outside of that feared defense. 

Round 7: Jalen Young, S, Florida Atlantic

Young is a quick, ball hawk type of player. He has 7 career INTs and is more than capable of tackling with over 200 going into his senior season at FAU. However, at 5'11, 185, Young may not have the frame to see the same success in the NFL. He could be used in the rotation as a middle-of-the-field presence, but I don't see him playing in coverage on TEs or bigger receivers. 

Round 7: Hjalte Froholdt, G, Arkansas

This class doesn't have a great bunch of Guards. Froholdt is a center who will most likely be played as a guard if he is drafted. He's a big guy, but is very still and lacks the awareness needed to be a solid pass protector. Anyways, the Bears typically have a revolving door at OG due to injuries year in and year out, so adding some depth wouldn't hurt. 

Round 7: Rodney Smith, RB, Minnesota

Taking late round RBs never hurts anyone, especially when trade rumors surrounding Jordan Howard are around. Even if Howard isn't traded, adding another RB to the depth chart is a good thing. Who knows when the Bears will eventually let Benny Cunningham walk? If so, they'll need a change of pace guy behind Howard's bruising mentality and Cohen's joystick style. Smith had a fantastic sophomore campaign for Minnesota posting over 1,000 yards and 16 TDs, and this year he hasn't played much, but had a good game against New Mexico State in Week 2.
