I took the Seahawks as my Fade Back Pick on the notion Darnold would find a way to do better than his 4 interceptions earlier in the season and being at home that could be enough.  The Rams were the better team, and are still the better team in my book.  If LAR and SEA played a 7 game series I'd expect SEA to get roughly 2 Ws before bowing out.  That is what we saw the other night.

Their schedule is listed as the easiest in the league but sometimes what happens in such situations is teams get better.  They stay healthier.  They make more plays.  Gain confidence.  And even though they may be overrated, they are improving for the day a proper measurement can be taken.  These are the narratives I love in sports.  I love it more when a team is treading water against a tough schedule and finally show where they really are as things ease up a bit...but this story probably is the one that plays out more often.  Especially in a sport like football where when you play tough teams everyone gets more beat up.

I suspect sometimes Walt chooses a team to just ride on, and underrate, and berate to get the fan going.  Maybe in part because they mouth off about him being wrong and he doubles down.  But perhaps in this instance he's right.  Nix isn't Maye and this team isn't quite in the top tier with the likes of LAR and SEA.

The metaphor for the Eagles offense that has been in my mind is that of an amateur chef being put in charge of a high end kitchen with all the ingredients to make some great food but none of the no how.  Maybe that's just what it looks like when the offensive line can't get push.  For awhile I had hope they'd be able to figure something out, come up with some way to consistently be able to move the football and do their part to manage the clock  and the game, but that hope is winnowing away.  This feels like a season where they get shown the door fairly quickly.
