  • Cincinnati Bengals: Shurron Pierson, OLB, South Florida
A weak link on the Bengals' defense is the outside linebacker position, occupied by Steve Foley and Canute Curtis. Pierson could be brought in to compete for the starting position.

  • Detroit Lions: Ken Hamlin, S, Arkansas
The Lions could use a lot of help in their secondary, especially at the safety position. I also considered CB Kevin Garrett.

  • Houston Texans: George Foster, OT, Georgia
David Carr was sacked 73 times last year, so he needs some protection more than anything. Houston isn't sure if Tony Boselli will every play again, and they lost Ryan Young, so George Foster could start right away.

  • Chicago Bears: David Ragone, QB, Louisville
The Bears might as well take the best quarterback available, by far. Kordell Stewart is inconsistent, and probably will not last long as the starter in Chicago. His backup is Henry Burris. Ragone is a guy who carried Louisville by himself last year. It should be interesting to see what he can do with weapons like Marty Booker, Anthony Thomas/Lee Suggs and David Terrell.

  • Dallas Cowboys: Cecil Sapp, RB, Colorado State
Sapp is underrated and is a good third round selection. Bill Parcells knows that Troy Hambrick is not the answer, so Sapp could start by kickoff weekend.

  • Arizona Cardinals: Teyo Johnson, WR/TE, Stanford
Teyo Johnson is an intriguing pick, because he is 6'7'', and can play either the receiver or tight end position. Johnson would already be the best wide receiver on the Cardinals, as their starting WRs are Kevin Kasper and Bryan Gilmore. He could also beat out lackluster TE Freddie Jones for the starting tight end job.

  • Minnesota Vikings: Jamaal Green, DE, Miami
DeWayne Robertson has already been added to the interior of this defensive line, but they need an upgrade on the outside. Jamaal Green is the best defensive end available. Minnesota can also look receiver and take Brandon Lloyd.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars: Brandon Lloyd, WR, Illinois
The Jags' offense suffered with the departure of WR Keenan McCardell, and they have been signing defensive players, so there is no reason why they wouldn't take Lloyd here, unless he isn't available. Lloyd would be a great young receiver to go with Byron Leftwich.

  • Seattle Seahawks: Kevin Garrett, CB, SMU
Now that their defensive line is better, the Seahawks need to work on their secondary. Other than Shawn Springs, they have no one at cornerback, and have to deal with the Rams' and 49ers' offenses in the NFC West.

  • St. Louis Rams: Bennie Joppru, TE, Michigan
The Rams lost Ernie Conwell. They signed Cameron Cleeland, but history shows that you can't count on him. Joppru has great hands, and would look great in St. Louis' offense.

  • New England Patriots: Jon Stinchcomb, OT, Illinois
With their fourth pick in this draft, the Patriots need to address the right tackle position. Jon Stinchcomb could be the answer.

  • Carolina Panthers: Tony Pashos, OT, Illinois
The Panthers signed Jake Delhomme and Stephen Davis this offseason, so they need a dominant right offensive tackle to join them. With these three players, Carolina might put up some points this year.

  • Baltimore Ravens: Ian Scott, DT, Florida
Brian Billick needs to take an interior defensive lineman with this pick. Its his most pressing need at this point, but he could also go cornerback and take DeJuan Groce.

  • New Orleans Saints: DeJuan Groce, CB, Nebraska
Dale Carter starts for the Saints, and he is one of the "locker room cancer" players that Jim Haslett has been trying to get rid of. So the Saints might draft Groce to take his place.

  • Buffalo Bills: Nnamdi Asomugha, S, California
Antonio Winfield and Nate Clements are great corners, and Izell Reese was signed to help the Bills' secondary, but they need another good safety in their secondary. The Bills have been upgrading their defense all offseason, and they should continue with this pick.

  • Miami Dolphins: Vince Manuwai, G, Hawaii
New England acquired this pick from San Diego for Tebucky Jones. Then, Miami acquired this pick for a 2004 second rounder. Manuwai is a good pick here, as the Dolphins will take another offensive lineman to try to strengthen one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.

  • Washington Redskins: Al Johnson, C, Wisconsin
Steve Spurrier's interior offensive line needs a lot of help. Al Johnson would automatically become a starter. Patrick Ramsey/Rex Grossman need more protection, and more holes need to be opened up for Trung Canidate, when and if he runs.

  • Denver Broncos: Ricky Manning Jr., CB, UCLA
Mike Shanahan was disappointed with his entire secondary last year, even his best corner, Deltha O'Neal, so Manning Jr. should be able to compete for a starting job.

  • Houston Texans: Antwan Peek, DE/OLB, Cincinnati
A good player to have in a 3-4 defense. He could either play defensive end, or outside linebacker, which are two of the positions where the Texans can use an upgrade.

  • Cleveland Browns: Pisa Tinoisamoa, OLB, Hawaii
Even though the Browns took E.J. Henderson in the first round, they still need help at linebacker because they foolishly released all three of their starters. OLB Kevin Bentley is good enough to start next year, but they need someone else at outside linebacker. Tinoisamoa could start right away

  • New York Jets: Tyrone Calico, WR, Mid. Tennessee State
The Jets have three good receivers: Santana Moss, Wayne Chrebet and Curtis Conway. However, the latter two are past their primes, so the Jets need to bring in a young receiver, who can probably start in about two years.

  • New Orleans Saints: Chris Brown, RB, Colorado
When Deuce McAllister goes down, its over for the Saints. James Fenderson is their backup, so Chris Brown could fit in well here.

  • Miami Dolphins: Montrae Holland, G, Florida State
Holland is a good pick here, as the Dolphins will take yet another offensive lineman to improve their terrible offensive line. A backup quarterback could be looked at here, but I think its too early for Brian St. Pierre.

  • Houston Texans: Terrence Holt, S, N.C. State
Remember, the Texans have extra picks their first couple of years. They have two great corners, but they could use help at the safety position. The Texans can also look at guard (Derrick Dockery).

  • San Francisco 49ers: Steve Sciullo, OT, Marshall
The 49ers need a left tackle, so they might take Steve Sciullo here, as he can compete against aging Derrick Deese.

  • Indianapolis Colts: Derrick Dockery, G, Texas
Part of the reason why Edgerrin James struggled was because the Colts have problems with their interior offensive line. Dockery is a great selection at #90, and should start right away

  • New York Giants: Shane Walton, CB, Notre Dame
The Giants don't have anyone behind Will Allen and Will Peterson, now that Jason Sehorn is gone (he wasn't much anyway). Walton will give the Giants more depth at corner.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers: Todd Williams, OT, Florida State
Wayne Gandy has left Pittsburgh, which puts a huge hole on the right side of the Steelers' offensive line. Todd Williams can win the starting job.

  • Tennessee Titans: Anthony Adams, DT, Penn State
Anthony Adams goes to the Titans, as they really need help at the defensive tackle position. They have no one next to Albert Haynesworth, now that John Thornton left.

  • Green Bay Packers: Andrew Williams, DE, Miami
The Packers need some help at left defensive end. When Joe Johnson went out, the Packers were not able to generate a pass rush, so I think its important to be effective from both sides. I think the Packers can also take OT Jeremy Bridges here, just in case Chad Clifton can not come back from his serious injury.

  • Philadelphia Eagles: Tully Banta-Cain, DE, California
More depth to be added to the Eagles' defensive line. They have to make sure that either Banta-Cain or Moorehead work out, or else Eagles management will be under a lot of scrutiny in Philadelphia.

  • Oakland Raiders: Chaun Thompson, OLB, West Texas A&M
Perhaps the eventual replacement for 36 year old Bill Romanowski. The Raiders can also look at defensive end and take Clint Mitchell.

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jarrett Johnson, DT, Alabama
Buccaneers officials are convinced that Warren Sapp has two years left in the tank. Its reported that they think Sapp disappeared in the playoffs, after the injury to MacFarland. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bucs take a young defensive tackle here.
