-
Kansas City Chiefs: Kiko Alonso, ILB, Oregon
The Chiefs pretty much sent everyone to Oregon's Pro Day, so Andy Reid had a good look at Kiko Alonso, who could perhaps be Jovan Belcher's replacement.

-
Jacksonville Jaguars: Matt Scott, QB, Arizona
The Jaguars have to spend a pick on a quarterback at some point. New general manager David Caldwell has sounded like a lunatic in his praise for Blaine Gabbert, but he must have a backup plan if/when Gabbert sucks again. Jacksonville has been linked to Matt Scott.
-
Detroit Lions: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
The Lions brought in Cordarrelle Patterson and Justin Hunter for private interviews recently (check the NFL Draft Prospect Meetings list for more). Both are off the board, but another talented wideout would help across from Calvin Johnson.
Pick change; previously Cornelius Washington, DE
-
Oakland Raiders: Dallas Thomas, G/OT, Tennessee
The Raiders just drafted Geno Smith, so they have to find some protection for him. They have big holes at left guard and right tackle. Dallas Thomas might be able to play both positions.
Pick change; previously Tyler Bray, QB
-
Philadelphia Eagles: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
It wouldn't surprise me to see the Eagles add a corner in Rounds 3-5 despite signing Bradley Fletcher and Cary Williams. Neither is a No. 1 corner, so Philadelphia may want someone who can develop into one.
Pick change; previously Marc Anthony, CB
-
Cleveland Browns: Tyler Bray, QB, Tennessee
New regimes mean new quarterbacks, so unless Michael Lombardi trades for Ryan Mallett, he could spend an early selection on a developmental signal-caller.
Pick change; previously Tyler Bray, QB
-
Arizona Cardinals: David Bakhtiari, OT/G, Colorado
This is a pretty obvious selection. The Cardinals have pressing offensive line issues that they'll absolutely need to resolve this offseason. If they want to keep second-rounder Matt Barkley healthy, they'll need to find multiple upgrades up front.
-
Tennessee Titans: Corey Lemonier, DE/OLB, Auburn
The Titans have zero depth behind Derrick Morgan and Kamerion Wimbley, and in a division that features Matt Schaub and Andrew Luck, they need all the pass-rushing help they can get.
Pick change; previously Vance McDonald, TE
-
Buffalo Bills: Vance McDonald, TE, Rice
General manager Buddy Nix recently told the media that he plans on upgrading the tight end position. Expect one of his Day 2 selections to be used on this.
Pick change; previously Corey Lemonier, DE/OLB
-
New York Jets: Christine Michael, RB, Texas A&M
The Jets need to give their next quarterback some weapons to work with. Both the receiver and tight end positions need to be upgraded. Running back must be addressed as well. Shonn Greene signed with the Titans, but he wasn't very good anyway.
-
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Marc Anthony, CB, California
The Buccaneers failed to land a cornerback in the first round of this mock draft update, so they'll need to do so on Day 2. Their cornerback corps is an abomination.
Pick change; previously Robert Alford, CB
-
San Francisco 49ers: John Jenkins, NT, Georgia
The most frustrating part about creating this year's mock draft is finding a spot for all of the nose tackles. There are just too many, and there aren't enough teams that need them. The 49ers, as an example, don't value the position highly, but I think they'll see the value in obtaining someone like John Jenkins in the middle of Round 3.
Pick change; previously Gavin Escobar, TE
-
New Orleans Saints: D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston
The Saints obviously have to upgrade their secondary after sporting one of the worst pass defenses of all time in 2012. Keenan Lewis was added, but another cornerback is needed.
-
San Diego Chargers: Robert Woods, WR, USC
The Chargers need to put more weapons and blockers around Philip Rivers to allow him to succeed. Help at wideout has to be obtained, and Robert Woods is a steal in the middle of Round 3.
Pick change; previously Giovani Bernard, RB
-
Miami Dolphins: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
The Dolphins don't seem to like Daniel Thomas very much, so they may consider a mid-round complement for Lamar Miller.
Pick change; previously Knile Davis, RB
-
St. Louis Rams: Quinton Patton, WR, Louisiana Tech
The Rams were unable to land Tavon Austin in the first round, so they'll have to settle for someone like Quinton Patton on Day 2 to take over Danny Amendola's duties.
Pick change; previously Robert Woods, WR
-
Pittsburgh Steelers: Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas
Rashard Mendenhall won't be back next year and Jonathan Dwyer isn't viewed as a starter per reports, so the Steelers will need to find a new running back.
Pick change; previously Aaron Dobson, WR
-
Dallas Cowboys: Eric Reid, S, LSU
The safety position was a major weak point for the Cowboys this past season after Barry Church tore his Achilles' tendon. Church was extended prior to the injury, but he's owed less than $1 million next year, so that wouldn't have prevented Dallas from picking a safety early. Gerald Sensabaugh's release only magnifies that need.
Pick change; previously Dallas Thomas, G/OT
-
New York Giants: Khaseem Greene, LB, Rutgers
Keith Rivers just signed a 1-year deal, but he's not the long-term solution because he can never stay healthy. General manager Jerry Reese said that there needs to be better linebacker play next year.
-
Miami Dolphins: Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia
The Dolphins added Mike Wallace and Brandon Gibson, and they also re-signed Brian Hartline, but that doesn't mean they won't take a receiver in the middle rounds. Davone Bess is due a non-guaranteed $2.63 million this season. Joe Philbin said he'll be competing for a roster spot, so Miami may just draft a cheaper solution.
Pick change; previously Tharold Simon, CB
-
Minnesota Vikings: Phillip Thomas, S, Fresno State
As noted in my Minnesota Vikings NFL Offseason Needs, Harrison Smith deserved Rookie of the Year consideration, but he's the only talented safety on Minnesota's roster.
-
Cincinnati Bengals: Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech
The Bengals drafted two receivers last year, but they still might be searching for another wideout. Da'Rick Rogers makes a ton of sense for Cincinnati as a wideout with tons of upside but off-the-field issues.
Pick change; previously Sio Moore, OLB
-
Washington Redskins: Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State
The Redskins have to fix their secondary, but something else they should do is find some help at receiver. I think they'll do that if they get good value. That's definitely the case in this scenario.
-
Indianapolis Colts: Travis Frederick, G/C, Wisconsin
The Colts signed Gosder Cherilus, but they still need to find another upgrade on the interior of their offensive line. The weakest of Andrew Luck's blockers last year was right guard Mike McGlynn, who was guilty of four sacks in the final four games.
-
Seattle Seahawks: Everett Dawkins, DT, Florida State
Perhaps Seattle's greatest priority this offseason is finding an interior pass-rushing presence. Having something like that would make the already-awesome secondary much more potent.
-
Green Bay Packers: Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State
James Starks has yet to prove that he can stay healthy, while Alex Green has shown nothing in several starts. Cedric Benson is obviously not a long-term answer, though I've been impressed with DuJuan Harris in his limited action. Still, the Packers may address the running back position early in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Pick change; previously Quinton Patton, WR
-
Houston Texans: Jon Bostic, ILB, Florida
There's a ton of uncertainty at inside linebacker for Houston. Brian Cushing is coming off a torn ACL, Bradie James is an impending free agent who isn't very good, while neither Tim Dobbins nor Darryl Sharpton is worthy of starting.
-
Denver Broncos: Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin
John Fox is not shy about using early selections on running backs. He needs one. Willis McGahee is old, Knowshon Moreno can't be trusted, and Ronnie Hillman's just a chance-of-pace back.
-
New England Patriots: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
The Patriots have used a third-round pick on a falling SEC quarterback before. There's talk that Bill Belichick could trade Ryan Mallett to Michael Lombardi, so if that happens, New England may search for another project at the signal-caller position.
-
Atlanta Falcons: Sio Moore, OLB, Connecticut
As noted in my Atlanta Falcons Offseason Needs page, the Falcons' play at linebacker must improve. Stephen Nicholas can't be on the field on all three downs, while Akeem Dent was a disappointment in his first season as a starter. The team needs to find a linebacker capable of playing all three downs with Sean Weatherspoon.
Pick change; previously Zaviar Gooden, OLB
-
San Francisco 49ers: J.J. Wilcox, S, Georgia Southern
The 49ers could draft two safeties. One has to replace Dashon Goldson, while the other could take over for Donte Whitner in the near future. Whitner will be a free agent next spring.
Pick change; previously Eric Reid, S
-
Baltimore Ravens: Vince Williams, ILB, Florida State
The Ravens lost Ray Lewis to retirement and Dannell Ellerbe to the Dolphins this offseason. They're obviously desperate for inside linebacker help.
Pick change; previously Da'Rick Rogers, WR
-
Houston Texans: Bacarri Rambo, S, Georgia
The Texans have to find safety help in the wake of losing Glover Quin in free agency to the Lions.
Pick change; previously J.J. Wilcox, S
-
Kansas City Chiefs: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
No one should be surprised if Sam Montgomery falls to the third round or later. His comments about quitting and betting on football have drawn some serious red flags. However, he's the best player available and fills a big need for Kansas City.
The Chiefs need pass-rushing depth, and Montgomery fits the scheme well. Plus, Andy Reid has a history of giving chances to players with character issues.
Pick change; previously Ryan Swope, WR
-
Tennessee Titans: Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M
The Titans are apparently going to part ways with Nate Washington soon, so here's some receiver help.
Pick change; previously Ryan Swope, WR
