2016 NFL Trade Mock

1. Los Angeles Rams: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State
   There will be 10 trades in this mock draft, but not at No. 1 overall. I guess it wouldn't make much sense for the Rams to move down after acquiring the No. 1 pick. This isn't some stupid movie, after all.

2. Cleveland Browns: Jared Goff, QB, California
   No trade here either. The Browns can get their quarterback, so why would they move out of this spot?
   
   
3. San Diego Chargers: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
   I swear, there will be 10 trades in this mock draft. Just not here, either. The Chargers desperately need a left tackle, and the best one in the class fell into their laps at No. 3 overall.
   
   




4. Dallas Cowboys: Jalen Ramsey, S/CB, Florida State
   I swear on my life that I'm not trolling you. There will be 10 trades in this mock draft. I just have a hard time seeing the Cowboys pass up on Jalen Ramsey, given that he's the top prospect on their board.
   
   
5. Chicago Bears: DeForest Buckner, DE/DT, Oregon
   *** Trade 1: Chicago trades No. 11, a 2016 second-round pick (No. 41) to the Jaguars for the No. 5 selection. ***
   
   Here's a trade that makes sense. The Bears can land the top interior defensive lineman in the 2016 NFL Draft, addressing a huge need in the process. They'd have to surrender a second-round selection to move from 11 to five, but obtaining a mega talent like DeForest Buckner might be worth it.
   
   
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State
   *** Trade 2: Tampa Bay trades No. 9, a 2016 third-round pick (No. 74) to the Ravens for the No. 6 selection. ***
   
   It's no secret that the Buccaneers need an edge rusher. However, their chances of landing Joey Bosa at No. 9 are pretty slim, so trading up a few spots to secure him could definitely be worth it.
   
   




7. New York Giants: Myles Jack, LB/RB, UCLA
   *** Trade 3: New York trades No. 10, a 2016 fourth-round pick (No. 109) to the 49ers for the No. 7 selection. ***
   
   With Jared Goff off the board, the 49ers would likely trade down, given its lack of options. They'd be desperate to do so, perhaps allowing the Giants to move up relatively cheaply. New York would leap the Ravens for Myles Jack, who would fill a huge void at linebacker. The position has been neglected by New York's front office for far too long.
   
   
8. Philadelphia Eagles: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State
   This pick will remain the same, as the Eagles have a strong interest in Ezekiel Elliott and will probably take him at No. 8 if he's available.
   
   
9. Baltimore Ravens: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame
   Baltimore's backup plan if DeForest Buckner is off the board is to draft Ronnie Stanley to shore up the blind-side position. Eugene Monroe and his horrible durability have become a liability for the Ravens that must be addressed.
   
   




10. San Francisco 49ers: Leonard Floyd, DE/OLB, Georgia
    The 49ers don't have a great choice here, but they could consider Leonard Floyd. They need a better pass-rusher across from Aaron Lynch, and Floyd is one of the better players available.
    
    
11. Miami Dolphins: Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida
    *** Trade 4: Miami trades No. 13, a 2016 fourth-round pick (No. 107) to the Jaguars for the No. 11 selection. ***
    
    The Jaguars move down again, as there isn't anyone who is a great fit at this selection. Besides, the Dolphins might now be panicking that Ezekiel Elliott is off the board - they're not very smart if they think Elliott will easily fall to them - so they could fill another big need at this spot.
    
    
12. New Orleans Saints: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville
    I'll keep this the same, as the Saints are able to fill a big need with one of the better players available.
    
    




13. Jacksonville Jaguars: Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama
    I wouldn't be a fan of this pick because it's a bit too early for Reggie Ragland, but I couldn't grade the Jaguars too harshly because they managed to pick up extra second- and fourth-round picks. Ragland would potentially offer a huge upgrade in the middle of the defense, where Paul Posluszny has become a liability.
    
    
14. New York Jets: Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis
    *** Trade 5: New York trades No. 20, a 2016 third-round pick (No. 83) to the Raiders for the No. 14 selection. ***
    
    Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan has been making brilliant moves all offseason. I'm not sure this would qualify, but I would totally understand it if he pulled the trigger. The Jets currently have no quarterback, and they're completely right in terms of not paying Ryan Fitzpatrick a ridiculous amount of money.
    
    
15. Tennessee Titans: Jack Conklin, OT/G, Michigan State
    It's been rumored that the Titans want Jack Conklin after moving down to No. 15, so they're able to get their man. No reason for them to move down.
    
    
16. Detroit Lions: Jarran Reed, DE/DT, Alabama
    With Jack Conklin off the board, the Lions can simply snatch the player they've shown the most interest in this offseason, as Jarran Reed would finally help replace Ndamukong Suh.
