2012 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Kendall Marshall
Position: Point Guard
Size: 6-4, 195
School: North Carolina, Sophomore
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Summary: One of the best pure point guards in college basketball, Marshall is the definition of a pass-first point guard. NBA players will be drooling at the opportunity to play alongside someone with his ability to distribute the basketball. He does have some deficiencies in his game though, but could be a mid-first-round, possible lottery pick if he declares for the draft this summer.
Player Comparison: Jason Kidd. Marshall most often gets compared to Kidd, and with good reason. Both excel as true point guards due to their bigger size, amazing court vision and passing ability. Marshall is not as athletic as Kidd was early in his career. He also more offensively-challenged and not nearly the defender. However, he can still impact the game in a Kidd-type way.
