Tom Brady voted for Donald Trump. Maybe he didn't. He had no comment when asked and his wife said he didn't.

Trump, himself though, said Brady was supporting him. Also, there are countless pictures of Brady with Trump at many different events and Tom has referred to Trump as "Fun to golf with" and "his friend".                 So.............

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm up there with Magnum PI with my investigational skills.

Thousands of so-called fans denouncing their fandom for Tom Brady. Social media sites erupting in hateful rants. Headline stories in the news.

All this, over who an athlete voted for and is friends with???? 

Let me preface this with saying that I'm a Canadian and had no skin in the game. I watched, like the rest of the world: the election campaigning, the great division of America and the ultimate election of Trump (Yes, I even know that he did not win the collective popular vote). Hey, some people are happy, some are not. It's politics. My country is run by a former Drama teacher, but I am rolling off track here.

I am a fan of Tom Brady, the athlete, that's it. That's all I care about.

His 6 Superbowl appearances with 4 wins. His quarterback skills that earned him 3 Superbowl MVPs, 2 League MVPs and 11 Pro Bowl Invitations. His being one of the greatest at his position ever.

I don't care where he lives, the car he drives, how much money he has or that he may be a gay man in a PR stunt marriage to a supermodel. Don't care.

I care only about Tom Brady when he is wearing the uniform and dissecting a defence. That's it.

Besides, as an Uggs endorsing, Stetson cologne wearing, nearly Vegan Irishman that doesn't drink, there are plenty of reasons I could hate him, but I won't. Couldn't care less about anything other than on the gridiron.
