This season for the Bucs was a promising one. Yes they didn't make it to the playoffs but they were pretty dang close to making it if they only would have one vs the Saints. This offseason we have to get contributes on defense and offense but most importantly we have to get weapons for Winston. That has to be the main goal this offseason.

Cuts - Not Resigned

DE - Will Gholston - I would really love for this guy to come back but in the 5 wining streak we had be played pretty dang good its just I think he leaves for FA and gets a strong contract. Still young and good against the run I can see him leaving for FA

RB Doug Martin - I don't think we keep him back next year. We have to revamp the RB position and this is where it starts. The drug problem isn't the only thing that is wanting me to get him out but the injuries just keep stacking. Maybe he just needs a fresh start with a new team. Wish him luck.

CB Alterraun Verner - This not only is because he hasn't lived up to his contract we gave him a couple of years ago but this also is because this would save about 6.5m in the bank for us for FA signing. He hasn't done anything so far for us since signing that contract and I wouldn't mind him leaving.

WR - Vincent Jackson - I think he retires in this offseason due to injures and him getting older. He has done a good job with us since signing his 5 year deal. I just think it is time for him to set sail and go and live his life

OT - Gosder Cherilus - This has to be coming. I think when everyone was watching the Sunday Night Game vs Dallas they can tell that this dude is horrible. After Dotson got hurt we had to put him in and he didn't deliver he needs to be gone.

S - Chris Conte - Again just like Cherilus but worse. All year this guy hasn't been good and wasn't good for the Bears when he played with him. He started the season off alright but then got injured and bench for Tandy who played excellent in his spot.

LB Daryl Smith - I am thinking that he retires at the offseason.

Other Cuts
WR Cecil Shorts
TE Brandon Myers
WR Josh Huff
WR Russell Shepard

Re-Signed

TE - Cameron Brate - Like I said getting weapons for Winston is a main priority and why not by starting with his own team mates. At the start of the season I though ASJ was going to be the TE that would come and show up but then we cut him and Brate came out. Scoring 8 Td's Brate is next to Evans as one of the targets that Winston loves. Resigning him is a #1 priority this offseason.

WR - Adam Humphries - Just like Brate we need to resign in are on organization. Humphries isn't that #2 WR we are looking for but he is a slot WR that I wouldn't mind having.

RB - Jacquizz Rodgers - Rodgers played well in the games that he did start when Martin was out. I think we, just like WR grab a couple of RB this offseason.

S - Bradley McDougald - Yes we mite need a new S but in the wining streak we had McDougald and Tandy played pretty well next to each other and it helps that Smith has come back and not taking a HC job somewhere else

C - Joe Hawley - Depth
CB - Jude Adjei-Barimah  - Depth
DT - Akeem Spence - Depth
LS - Andre DePaola
CB - Josh Robinson - Depth
OLB - Adarious Glanton - Depth
WR - Donteaa Dye - Depth
DE - Ryan Russell - Depth

Ricky Wagner, OT, Ravens - Like I said earlier for cutting Cherilus we need to get a new RT and why not get the best in the FA. Putting Wagner on the right side would not only be good for Winston but for the RB's that will be playing for us next year. This guy is only 27 so he is still young. I don't think he will do good at the LT spot so putting him and keeping him in the RT would be good.

Johnathan Hankins, NT, Giants - We need to get  a running mate with McCoy he can't be doing everything on his own. Hankins has had his injuries with the torn pect but at only 25 I think we can grab him here and place him next to McCoy. He isn't to bad at run defense but he is best at getting pressure on the opposing QBs.

Kenny Britt, WR, Rams - Some may say no but I know we need a couple of WR and I think we can get Britt for a decent size deal. We need help in this position and getting someone in FA and Draft is a must. Britt came away with 1,000 yards last year and that is coming from some bad QB. I think Rams gets rid of the players that Fishers has. I would welcome him in.

Andre Ellington, RB, Cardinals - Like Walter said this guy has been playing behind Johnson and even before him he did a good job with the Cardinals. I can see Litch finding him and hopefully he pans out. Like I said before getting a revamp on the RB position after cutting ties with Martin is needed.

Malcolm Smith, OLB, Raiders - After Smith retiring that leaves a hole on the SLB position that we have. Brining in Smith we will place him in the position until either the Draft this year or the FA/Draft next year.

DRAFT

With our 1st Round Pick in the 2017 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select OJ Howard, TE, Alabama

I think everyone has been reading Walters Senior Bowl thread. This kid has been killing it since it started. Yes I know we resigned Brate but the Bucs run a 2 TE set and having Howard paired with Brate will be amazing for Winston in his 3 year. Howard is not only a good receiving TE but he is also and good blocking TE and having that is a key for a 2 TE set when running the ball. This pick has to happen when the draft comes if Davis or Cook isn't there.

With our 2nd Round Pick in the 2017 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida State

After watching some of his games this year I really like this kid. After losing Glohston to the FA we need to add another body to the DE position so that someone can learn under Ayers and hopefully Spence takes the next step to becoming a good DE. He had 5.5 sacks this year but we need more pressure on the QB to help the CB and S. Walker is the kind of kid you want to learn behind a older DE and then take the next step next year and replace him.

With our 3rd Round Pick in the 2017 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select Amara Darboh, WR, Michigan

I have consistently have been saying this but getting weapons is a KEY for Winston development and a KEY for this team to take forward. Darboh had a quite year with  800 yards and 8 TD. His QB play was spotty sometimes and that has him going in the 3rd Round. Granted I can see him going late 2nd early 3rd because this isn't a stacked position coming out like CB, RB. Having signed Britt and Humphries to go along with Evans this offseason is getting better and better.

With our 4th Round Pick in the 2017 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select Marlon Mack, RB, South Florida

Like I said earlier in the rant cutting Martin made a decent hole in the offseason at this position but after re signing Rodgers and signing Ellington some mite say that there is no reason to get another RB but having competition in the camp isn't a bad thing. Mack is coming from Florida and been playing in RJ the past 3 years. The reasoning he isn't going higher is because this is a stacked position in the draft. Mack has rushed for 1,000 yards his past 3 season. The competition in the camp is going to look good with Rodgers, Ellington, Mack, Barber

With our 5th Round Pick in the 2017 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select Tyler Orlosky, C, West Virginia

These next few round we have to add depth throughout the team whether its on offense or defense. Adding depth to the O-Line is another must we have to do with the FA and Draft. Adding Orlosky to the mix will help if any interior line goes down. Orlosky is only looked at G or C. He needs to add a little more weight but getting and offseason in the weight room that will help.

6th and 7th rounds are hard to project right now.

So this offseason we have made contributes to the defense and the offseason but most importantly getting weapons for Winston to develop him into a QB that I think he can become and be the top 5 in the NFL.
