2017 NFL Big Board
This is my first Big Board and i'll update it as events like pro days, combines and interviews goes by.
Blue Chip Prospects
1. Myles Garrett, Edge Rusher, Texas A&M.
No explanation needed, he's a beast and a generational prospect.
2. Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU.
He's just as good as Garrett as a prospect, but because the RB position is devalued, i'd slot him no'2.
3. Jonathan Allen, Interior Lineman, Alabama.
Allen's versatility is stunning, he should not slip from the top 5 as he fits any scheme, you can line him up as a 4-3 DT (wich i believe is his best fit), 4-3 DE or 3-4 DE.
--------------------------------------------
4. Jabrill Peppers, Hybrid, Michigan.
I expect Jabrill Peppers's draft stock to rise tremendously the closer we get to the draft (he should test really well), he's a brilliant kid who has just too much upsides to slip from the top 15. I am aware that he didn't had the best production has a safety but when you look at the tape, he looks like a man among kids. Plus, there's almost no chance of Peppers being a bust because he can play so much positions, i'd be shocked to see him fail to find a spot at S, LB, CB or even RB...
5. Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State.
A very polished Cornerback, not a lot of weaknesses in his game and he has good size.
6. Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State.
7. Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama.
8. Jamal Adams, S, LSU.
9. Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State.
10. Derek Barnett, DE, Texas.
11. Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan.
Corey Davis is as complete as it gets, like Walter, i believe you can apply the Demaryuis Thomas comparison, we could also compare him to Dez Bryant without the off field issues. He is a strong blocker, run superb routes, has very reliable hands and has the ability to generate YAC.
12. Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida.
Seems like poeple have forgot about how good is Tabor since there's more hype on his teammate Quincy Wilson. I personnaly prefer Tabor, he is better in man coverage and a better tackler than Wilson. He reminds me of Joe Haden a lot !
13. Mike Williams, WR, Clemson.
Prototypical 1st WR, in this average WR draft class he should not slip from the top 20.
14. O.J Howard, TE, Alabama.
Dynamic TE in the passing game and also a good blocker.
15. Obi Melifonwu, S Uconn.
Amazing athlete, also has one of the highest GPA's in the country, once the combine is done, i believe we will be talking about a sure 1st rounder.
16. Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama.
I don't really understand the drop he had in pretty much every big board and mock drafts, some even projecting him in the second frame... He's an excellent press cornerback and he has pretty good feets for a tall CB. He's a Bama CB, and those have a tendency to not pan out. I do believe he will be a solid CB on the next level, his skillset fits pretty much any scheme.
17. Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford.
A lot of buzz on Thomas. Not very versatile, i believe 4-3 DE is his only fit.
18. Desmond King, CB, Iowa.
Reminds me a lot of Darrelle Revis. Desmond King is one of the best man to man CB in this draft.
19. Adoree Jackson, CB, USC.
Freakish athlete, he could be an outstanding nickel for his first year, but i expect him to gain a bit of weight to help him acquire the physicality needed for the CB position.
20. Mitch Trubisky, QB, North Carolina.
21. Sidney Jones, CB, Washington.
22. Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin.
23. Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama.
24. Caleb Brantley, 3-4 DE, Florida.
25. David Njoku, TE, Miami.
26. Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama.
27. Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson.
28. Malik McDowell, 3-4 DE, Michigan State.
29. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford.
30. Quincy Wilson
31. DeShone Kizer
32. Dawuane Smoot
33. Tre'Davious White
34. Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida.
35. Quenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame.
36. Charles Harris, DE, Missouri.
37. Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU.
