I think the narrative for the Packers this year in terms of the draft is depth. With a few exceptions, we basically know who the starters are going to be next season. But, given the Packers history of injury problems over the last few years, they need 2nd and 3rd-string guys who's level of play is not a significant drop-off from the starters. With that said, here is what I think the Packers' perfect 2017 draft would look like.

29. TJ Watt, OLB, Wisconsin: There is so much to love about Watt. He has the bloodlines, he already has a fanbase in Wisconsin, and there is a need for an EDGE player behind Clay Matthews and Nick Perry. Matthews is not the player he once was, and the defense will need a consistent pass rush if he gets injured again.

61. Adoree' Jackson, CB, USC: It is entirely possible that Jackson will be long gone by the time this pick roles around. With that being said, Jackson might be my favorite cornerback in this draft. For a team that wants to get faster, he has the speed to match up with any receiver. Jackson would also become the Packers' best kick returner.

93. James Conner, RB, Pitt: I think there should be some contrast in a NFL backfield. Ty Montgomery has a little bit of everything, but he is the classic case of a "good-at-everything-great-at-nothing" back. The Packers either need a Darren Sproles-type back or a piledriver-type back like they had in Eddie Lacy. Conner definitely falls into the latter category, as he would be a fantastic short yardage option for the Pack.

134. Ethan Pocic, C/G, LSU: Ted Thompson has always done well in the middle rounds of the draft, especially picking offensive linemen. This year will hopefully not be an exception, especially with a new spot open along the starting five. Pocic is a versatile interior linemen who can come into training camp and compete for TJ Lang's old spot right.

172. Stevie Tu'ikolovatu, DT, USC: The Packers love to rotate defensive linemen during a game, so more depth is always good. Tu'ikolovatu can be that true 3-4 nose tackle and help stuff the run on first and second downs.

182. Josh Harvey-Clemons, S, Louisville: This is another pick that could end up being really important if one of the starting safeties gets injured. Harvey-Clemons is a big guy who can tackle well. Nothing wrong with that.

212. Ben Boulware, ILB, Clemson: I don't care what his measurables are, the dude is a baller who is going to go 100% every time he gets in the game. 

247. Sojourn Shelton, CB, Wisconsin: Another Badger who was a four-year starter.
