What should the Titans do with the #1 pick?

The initial answer is no, since Laremy Tunsil is a stud at arguably the 2nd most important position in football. But if you think about it this way: The Titans have no one around Marcus Mariota, and with a trade-down, they could obtain multiple talented players who can fill multiple holes. This would be better for their future. They already have Taylor Lewan, who is a capable and talented young LT, and they can obtain a RT in free agency or later in the draft. So, let's look at Tennessee's options:

1) Convince the Browns that Carson Wentz has franchise potential and tell them they will accept the best offer to trade down, trade down one pick with the Browns so they get Wentz #1 overall while the Titans get assets and still obtain Tunsil at #2

This is what I think they should do. Protecting Mariota is imperative for their organization, because he is the face of the franchise. Tunsil didn't even allow a pressure all season in the SEC, which is absolutely remarkable. He is a rare talent with the athleticism of a tight end and the body and strength of a blindside protector. His skills are off the charts, so if they were able to still get him while obtaining assets in a trade down with the Browns, which would be ideal. The Browns will probably be smitten with Wentz by this time, so they must do anything to get him and save their putrid franchise.

2) Trade down for Jalen Ramsey

They have the worst DBs in the league and both Andrew Luck and Blake Bortles will therefore torch them mercilessly twice per year until they upgrade. Ramsey is the best pick because he is great in all phases and is versatile: he can play both safety and corner at a high level. I could see him being a FS who can move up to cover the slot receiver if need be. His versatility makes him a better prospect than Vernon Hargreaves.

3) Trade down for Vernon Hargreaves

This would also be a great option, because they could probably trade for a lower pick and get more assets while picking up Hargreaves in the process. He is the best pure CB in the draft by miles, and, as mentioned before, their DBs suck. They have no one on the roster to cover a #1, especially elite ones like DeAndre Hopkins or Allen Robinson. Hargreaves doesn't have great size, but he makes up for it with tremendous feet, agility, and natural covering ability.

4) Stay put and take Laremy Tunsil #1

This is obviously the safest option with the least amount of work. They could technically just sit on their ass and take Tunsil #1 without doing anything and they would get an elite player at one of the most important positions in football for the next 10-15 years. However, they wouldn't get any other assets from it, so at least attempting option 1 is definitely a better decision in my opinion.

5) Trade down for Ezekiel Elliott

No one is even considering this possibility, but think about it: Elliott is an elite RB prospect who translates extremely well to the NFL and doesn't have that much wear and tear. He is one of the safest options in the draft. Mariota can't do it all himself, so why not go after Elliott and establish one of the best ground games in the league? Plus, they would get assets with this. However, they could just wait and take another elite RB in Heisman winner Derrick Henry atop round 2, so this would certainly be an odd decision.

6) Trade down or stay put for Joey Bosa

Surprisingly, many mock drafts have this happening. The media has Bosa touted as one of the best pass rushers in years, but that is not true at all. I think he's more like a Justin Smith, who is actually contemplating returning next season. I don't like Bosa as much as everyone else does, as he had average production this past year and isn't a very fluid athlete. Plus, the Titans have solid pass rushers with Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo, so they don't even need a pass rusher. This move would be puzzling, but it is a realistic option nonetheless. An even worse decision would be to take Bosa #1 overall, which many people have happening. That would just be plain idiotic on their part.

Option 1 would be the smartest course of action. At least attempt to convince the Browns to swap picks, obtain assets, and still get Tunsil to protect Mariota for years to come. That would be best case scenario. However, if this doesn't work out, there are other options for them, with these being the most realistic.
