@Mr. Bitter I hear your line of reasoning here, but how far do you trade back?  The top QB’s and OT’s always go higher than expected.  You are saying that their are no OT’s worth a top 10 selection.  So what does Cleveland do if they trade back from 5 to 15 and Campbell, Connerly and Banks are all gone by 15?  Reach for the next OT?  You have to realize that Cleveland’s next pick isnt until pick #37 or something like that.  Now, if you can trade down 2 or 3 spots a couple of times and gain some extra picks while ensuring you dont lose out on one of the top 3 OT’s, then i am all for that move.

@Charles Beagle I 1000% agree!  The offensive line is OFFENSIVE!  Year after year, Pace ignores the O-line.  One of my buddies says that because Pace was an undrafted FA OL that he looks to use late round picks or UDFA’s for the OL.  It’s clearly not working.  Darnell Wright has done well, but there are 4 other OL spots!!  Caleb Williams has been sacked 67 times this year (obviously not all on the OL) with 1 game left in the season.  If they dont use 2 out of their 3 top 45 picks on OL then it might be another year of caleb playing QB from his back

@smartone1986 The Vikings would be stupid and crazy to not put the franchise tag on Darnold.  He might lead them to the SB this year.  And JJ McCarthy is not a sure thing.  But even if they tag him, they can still trade him for whatever compensation they want (up to 2 1st rounders).  Frankly, i would tag Darnold for next year and if he repeats his success in 2025, i would look to sign him to a long term deal and trade JJ McCarthy.
