Everywhere I go, people tell me about what a great thing this mock is. It got a very long standing ovation; People were tired from standing (check the tape). My mock will pray for your mock–it needs it.

Haven't been posting much this season due to exile in Dagobah.

It's nice to have a draft order set and the Senior Bowl behind us (other all-star games, too, I suppose). The combine is the other big event of the offseason, so we really are halfway to the draft. Sort of.

I'm still getting to know prospects and tinkering away with various picks. As always, I can't be an expert on all 32, so input and conversation is valued per your team.

There isn't a better mock to skim quickly. You might even read the whole thing. A great tinkerer never stops tinkering, although I've pretty much stood firm of late.

As is my custom, I like to reward some fanbases with ample opportunity to swoon in the what-if. Haven't decided who/if I'll do another, although I'm open to suggestion.

I stand up next to a mock. And I chop it down with the edge of my hand.

Time to forget about the Super Bowl. It's officially Draft Season.

Old-school draftnik. With most of Bowl season as well as the Wild Card Round in the books, it's an ideal time to update. By the way, kudos to anyone that gets the reference to the old format.

December update. Deal with it.

A month or so has passed, which makes this a necessary update on the previous column. Also, I just enjoy this.

The 49ers are a franchise with a lot of draft ammo, a talented roster, and a great coaching staff. With all of the negative off-the-field attention this offseason, San Fran should be inching for the regular season to start already. They'll have no trouble looking for something to prove between bad press, and the bad taste of watching the Seahawks hoist a Lombardy trophy they've had within reach each of the last two years.

Arizona was in the unfortunate position of missing the playoffs despite double-digit wins. Unfortunately, their probably in store for more bitterness in 2014. The Cards are still on a three-year plan, but that's not an altogether bad thing. They'll be peaking while teams like Seattle and San Francisco are struggling to stay on top.

The Browns are my first installment in a mostly realistic series I'd like to try out. Picks based on who's available in my latest mock. Let me know what team you'd like to see.

Who's the most overrated? Who's the most underrated? What on earth is that noise? I'll tell you.

Mock-drafting can be an exercise in mass-hysteria, meaning that too many people listen to analysts and other people. That's just crazy! Personally, I think everyone should relax, and only read this mock draft. It's totally and completely correct... obviously. Seriously, I really know what I'm talking about. I'm not kidding. I can't stress that enough.
