I'm taking another stab at this in the wake of some feedback, as well as some NFL news (Romo's retirement, Lynch's un-retirement, and so forth). I'm hoping to make this my final (or next-to-final) look at a realistic first 2 rounds with trades in the 2017 NFL Draft. As always, comments and opinions are welcome!

Second stab at a projected 1st round of the 2017 NFL Draft, with potential trades in mind. I took into account some of your comments on the last mock w/ trades, and adjusted based on good feedback as well as some recent news/updates. As usual, I'm trying to be as realistic as possible. Here goes nothing!

I'm attempting to put together what I feel is an unbiased look at the first round of the NFL Draft. I mocked a 1st round with no trades recently, and while I think it's an accurate representation of a trade-free Round 1, we all know that isn't going to be the scenario. With that in mind - and with a few more recent NFL Draft trends considered - I'm going to give this another go. I've predicted 4 first-round trades, including a pretty substantial one that gets Cleveland two picks in the top 5 (and guarantees they will pick a QB ahead of the Jets' selection.) And sorry Oakland fans - I have your Raiders trading out of the first round entirely, but stacking their draft selections and getting a haul on Day 2 of the draft. Oh, and Houston DOESN'T draft a Round 1 QB... Comments and opinions are certainly encouraged!

Straightforward approach to the 2017 NFL Draft. Didn't take any trades into account in this mock; I may do so later. I don't think quarterbacks are going to fly off the board in the 1st round as some would suggest. Sure, it's appealing to throw 3-4 QBs out there in the first round and get a few teams' fan bases excited, but it rarely comes to fruition. For example, Arizona likely feels it's only a few players away from real contention, so they may shy away from spending their 1st round pick on a QB project. Ultimately, the first round in this mock draft is dominated by defense (7 of the first 10 players selected). I may take another stab at this in the near future with a few projected trades - we'll see!
