Round 1
Pittsburgh met with Jones on an official 30 visit, but not Darnell Wright, so I'll give Jones the nod.
TRADE! #26, #90, and a '24 3rd rounder for #18 and a '24 5th rounder.
Dallas has met extensively with the top WR options in the draft, but not the top 2 TE options (Kincaid/Mayer), interestingly enough. As Guarisco notes, Dallas almost always has a private workout with its eventual 1st Round pick. I don't think the top 4 WR are going to make it to Dallas' pick at #26, so maybe they'd make a proactive move up the board to get one of them. I think Johnston could be the guy they covet.
Tampa Bay needs a bookend for Tristan Wirfs, who may move over to LT this year, and Wright was in for an official 30 visit.
Flowers gets the nod over Jordan Addison, as he can be the club's WR3 right away. He would also seem to be the future tag team partner of DK Metcalf, as the still-productive Tyler Lockett will be 31 in September.
The cat is out of the bag that the Chargers want to add speed to their offense with this pick, and their WR coach recruited Addison to Pitt and was a part of the coaching staff there.
Banks fills a huge need opposite Marlon Humphrey at corner for this squad.
I think Minnesota would prefer to take a WR or CB in this spot, but the top 4 at both positions are gone in this mock. Maybe Jalin Hyatt or someone like Emmanuel Forbes could be an option, but with the pass rush corps also needing improvement, perhaps Murphy could get the call.
While J'ville seems set at outside corner, a "star" type at slot corner/safety could fit the bill.
The Giants could need several new DB's in 2024, so the ball-hawking Forbes might be a good fit for Wink Martindale's defense.
TRADE!
After the move down, Detroit gets Brad Holmes his poor man's Aaron Donald.
White was one of the 17 players who received an invite to attend the draft in the green room, and though there are certainly some guys who will go in the 1st Round who chose not to accept an invite because they wanted to stay home, this is still a decent indication that White has a better than 50/50 shot to go in the 1st. He fills an obvious need for the Saints.
After getting Smith earlier, now Philly goes with an interior player for their DL in Bresee.
Josh Norris pretty much guaranteed that Harrison would be a 1st rounder, and with his extensive experience as a pass-protecting tackle, this might be a better fit than Dawand Jones. Of course, no one passes more than the Chiefs. You might do that, too, if you had Mahomes as your QB.
