2019 NFL Draft Grades 2nd Round Year One Review

Goals: Find a starter

33. Arizona Cardinals - Bryon Murphy CB Washington

Murphy started all 16 games. He gave up a 70% completion rate, 9 touchdowns and a 111 QB rating. Not great numbers but playing across from Patrick Peterson will cause you to get picked on some.

34. Indianapolis Colts - Rock Ya-Sin CB Temple

Rock played in 15 games starting 13 of them. He gave up 70% completion, 3 touchdowns, and a QB rating of 109. Also not great numbers.

Grade = Starter found

35. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jawaan Taylor OT Florida

Taylor started all 16 games playing 100% of the teams offensive snaps.

36. San Fransisco 49ers - DeeBo Samual WR South Carolina

Samuel started 13 fo the 15 regular season games he played and helped his team to the Super Bowl. Samuel had over 800 yards receiving and 150 yards rushing along with several touchdowns.

37. Carolina Panthers - Greg Little OT Mississippi

Little was injured for most of the year.

38. Buffalo Bills - Cody Ford OT Oklahoma

Ford started in 15 of 16 regular season games for a playoff team. Ford played 69% of the teams offensive snaps.

39. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Sean Bunting CB Central Michigan

Bunting started in 10 of 16 games with 3 interceptions, 8 passes defended and 44 tackles. Bunting gave up 65% of passes, 4 touchdowns, and an 86.6 QB rating.

40. Oakland Raiders - Trayvon Mullen CB Clemson

Mullen had 10 starts in 16 games along with 1 interception and 10 passes defended. Mullen game up 56% completions, 2 touchdowns, and 79 QB rating.

41. Denver Broncos - Dalton Risner OL Kansas State

Dalton started every game at OG and played 97% of the teams offensive snaps.

42. Denver Broncos - Drew Lock QB Missouri

Lock missed most of the season with an injury and learning on the bench. He started the last 5 games, winning 4 of them while 64% of his passes for 1,000 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. Lock looks like a franchise QB.

43. Detriot Lions - Jahlani Tavai LB Hawaii

Tavai started in 5 of 15 games played. He had 58 tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 1 interception, 2 PD, 1 FF. He also only gave up a QB rating of 78 when targeted.

44. Green Bay Packers - Elgton Jenkins OC Mississippi State

Jenkins started in 14 of 16 regular season games for a playoff team. He played 89% of the teams offensive snaps.

45. New England Patriots - Joejuan Williams CB Vanderbilt

Williams was a special teams player when he was on the field, playing in 9 games with zero starts, only 3 tackles and teams targeted him 7 times.

Grade = Terrible pick

46. Cleveland Browns - Greedy Williams CB LSU

Williams started all 12 games he played in, being on the field for 64% of the defensive snaps. When targeted he game up 61% completion rate, zero touchdowns, and 85 QB rating.

47. Seattle Seahawks - Marquise Blair S Utah

Blair started 3 games out of 14 for a playoff team. He was only on the field for 22% of the teams snaps. He was targeted 17 times and gave up 2 touchdowns. He also had 32 tackles.

48. New Orleans Saints - Erik McCoy OC Texas A&M

McCoy started every game while playing 99% of the teams snaps.

49. Indianapolis Colts - Ben Banogu LB TCU

Banogu was a situational pass rusher as he played 26% of the snaps, starting zero but playing in all 16 games. He has 2.5 sacks.

50. Minnesota Vikings - Irv Smith Jr TE Alabama

Smith played 60% of the teams snaps, starting 7 games playing in all of them for a playoff team. Smith had 36 catches for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns.

51. Tennessee Titans - AJ Brown WR Mississippi

I kept saying that Brown was the best receiver in this class and should have been the first one off the board, check my mock drafts. Brown was a stud. Brown had 52 catches for over 1,000 yards averaging 20 yards per catch with 8 touchdowns. He was the #1 receiver for a playoff team. He started 11 of 16 games playing 68% of the snaps. Best pick of the 2nd round.

Grade = Starter and possible Pro Bowler found

52. Cincinnati Bengals - Drew Sample TE Washington

Sample was terrible. He started zero games, playing in 9 for only 10% of the snaps. He had a measely 30 yards receiving.

Grade = Wasted pick

53. Philadelphia Eagles - Miles Sanders RB Penn State

Sanders started 11 of 16 games playing over 50% of the snaps. Sanders had 800 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving.

Grade = Starter definitely found

54. Houston Texans - Lonnie Johnson Jr CB Kentucky

Johnson started 7 of 14 games for a playoff team being on the field for 49% of the snaps. He gave up a 64% completion rate and 4 touchdowns.

Grade = Starter probably found

55. Houston Texans - Max Scharping OT Northern Illinois

Scharping played at OG and OT, he started 14 of 16 games playing 88% of the snaps for a playoff team. Granted the Texans OL was one of the worst in the NFL according to PFF.

56. Kansas City Chiefs - Mecole Hardman WR Georiga

Hardman started 5 of 16 games for the Super Bowl champs. He got 26 passes for 538 yards and 6 touchdowns, that's 20+ yards per catch.

Grade = Starter found

57. Philadelphia Eagles - JJ Arcega-Whiteside WR Stanford

Whiteside had 10 catches for 169 yards and 1 touchdown. He started in 5 of 16 games playing 42% of the snaps. On a team desparate for WR help and playing that many snaps to only have 10 catches is not good.

58. Dallas Cowboys - Trysten Hill DT Central Florida

Hill played in 7 games while being on the field for 10% of snaps. He virtually had zero stats. He was a healthy scratch for most of the season.

Grade = Wasted pick

59. Indianapolis Colts - Paris Campbell WR Ohio State

Campbell started 7 of 15 games being on the field for 18% of snaps. He has 18 catches for 127 yards and 1 touchdown.

60. Los Angeles Chargers - Nasir Adderly DB Delaware

Adderly played in 4 games seeing the field for 12% of snaps before a season ending injury.

Grade = Starter possibly found

61. Los Angeles Rams - Taylor Rapp S Washington 

Rapp started 10 of 15 games piling up 100 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 8 passes defended. He only gave up a 70 QB rating when targeted.

62. Arizona Cardinals - Andy Isabella WR Massacusetts

Isabella only had 9 catches for 180 yards and 1 touchdown. He started 1 game of 15 played with only 15% of snaps.

63. Kansas City Chiefs - Juan Thornhill S Virginia

Thornhill started every game playing 89% of snaps for the Super Bowl champs.

64. Seattle Seahawks - DK Metcalf WR Mississippi

Metcalf started 15 of 16 games playing 89% of snaps for a playoff team. He had 58 catches for 900 yards and 7 touchdowns and a dynamite first playoff game.
