2019 NFL Draft Grades and Best Players Available

1. Cardinals - Kyler Murray QB Oklahoma

Murray had to be the pick. Rosen is a dud QB and doesn't want to get better. Murray loves football and sports in general. He is a competitor and leader. He could be the next Russell Wilson/Baker Mayfield or he could be a flop but at least he will try his best. The NFL is all about having a QB and the Cards had to take a chance with #1 overall pick on the best QB in this class. Position wise this grade is easy because QB is the most important one, value wish is solid, player wise; I think Murray has a shot. The grade can't be an A+ because it's not an automatic home run for me, the traded up to get Rosen last year so they really lost value there and it can move up to an A if they get a 2nd round pick for Rosen.

Grade = Triple

2. 49ers - Nick Bosa DE Ohio State

Bosa is an elite edge rusher. He has the size, the skills, the production, and the experience to be at least a solid starter for 10 years and potential Pro Bowl player. This fills a big need for the 49ers as well as they really need edge help. It also has great positional value as edge rusher is the 2nd most important position behind QB. This was an easy pick and it is an easy grade.

Grade = Home Run!

3. Jets - Quinnen Williams DT Alabama

Quinnen Wiliams was arguably the best player in the draft but his position value just isn't that high. Personally, I would have taken Josh Allen because he would have been a great need and positional value pick for the Jets. However, you can't argue with taking the best possible player in the draft at #3. Williams is a stud and he will start for 12+ years and be a Pro Bowl caliber player.

Grade = Triple

4. Raiders - Clelin Ferrell DE Clemson

This is the first interesting pick and leave it to the Raiders none the less for a surprise. Personally, I think that Josh Allen and Devin White are higher rated players than Ferrell. But, it's not like I am down on Ferrell, he was going #8 in my final Mock draft to Detroit. He does fill a position and team need as the Raiders needed an edge rusher, as well as edge rushers being a high value position. I understand the Josh Allen and Ed Oliver have the same agent as Mack and Cooper but I don't know if you can be a professional organization and avoid every player one agent represents. This grade is a lowed by better prospects being available but I still think Ferrell will be an every down player and has some Pro Bowl potential.

Grade = Double and an RBI

5. Buccaneers - Devin White LB LSU

This is the exact pick I have had mocked to the Bucs for the entire process so I love it. White is an absolute stud and I think he'll be the next do it all LB that will really make in impact for the Bucs defense. Very good player value and positional value here. The one downside is that I never imagined a scenario were Josh Allen was still on the board. White as the pick with Allen off the board is a home run, with Allen still on the board it's not quite as high even though I think White will be a multiple year Pro Bowl player.

Grade = Triple

6. Giants - Daniel Jones QB Duke

I had seen this pick mocked on many websites and I have always been outraged by it. I have watched the highlights and seen the analysis on Jones and I have NEVER understood what makes people think he is a first round QB. He has never thrown for over 3,000 yards, he never took his team to higher levels? yes, he has good size, smarts, some athleticism and a decent arm but I just don't see it. Maybe I will be proven wrong but I think this pick ends in disaester. They will have Jones start in a year or two and after 2 agonziing seasons of the franchise trying to convince it's fans, it's players, and itself that Jones is the guy, they will give up and draft a new Q
