Goals:

Picks 1-10 = select a sure fire starter and potential Pro Bowl Caliber player

Picks 11-20 = select a sure fire starter

Picks 21-32 = select a starter

1. Arizona Cardinals - Kyle Murray QB Oklahoma

Murray had a great rookie season winning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. It was well deserved as he completed 60+% of his passes for 3,700 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also ran for over 500 yards with a few touchdowns. More than that, the Cardinals looked competitive in almost all their games and Murray certainly seems on his way to being a franchise QB that the organization can build around. Since QB's are the most important thing this was the right decisions.

2. San Francisco - Joey Bosa DE Ohio State

Bosa was a beast for the second best team in the NFL. He had 60 QB pressures and 9 sacks. More than that he was a key piece on a great defense that helped the team make it to the Super Bowl. Bosa was also healthy for the entire season which was important after some issues in college. Bosa looks like a Pro Bowl caliber pass rusher for years to come.

3. New York Jets - Quinnen Williams DT Alabama

Williams played in 13 games, had 28 tackles and 2.5 sacks. This is not the kind of production you want from a top 3 pick. If you read my mock drafts then you'll know that I am not a big fan of drafting defensive tackles this high. Williams was supposed to be a stud and maybe he is or will be but it's had to produce impactful numbers from the DT position. It's the reason they are on the bottom of my position value rankings. Side note as well, this is the reason I have Derrick Brown so much lower in my 2020 mock drafts. It's not that Brown or even Williams for that matter is a bad player. It's just the position. Williams will be a solid starter for years to come so it's now a total waste.

4. Oakland Raiders - Clelin Ferrell DE Clemson

This was a major reach on draft night and Ferrell didn't do much to change anyone's mind. While he did play out of position at defensive tackle way to much it remains to be seen if he was really top 5 material. Ferrell did play in 15 games, he had 38 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 5 passes defended. All in all, solid but unspectacular numbers.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Devin White LB LSU

White was a beast in college and do it all linebacker's that can cover in space as well as stop the run are very valuable. I loved the pick and White did a solid job as a rookie. White played in 13 games, had 91 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 3 passes defended, 1 interception, 3 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries and 2 touchdowns scored. Not only that, Tampa Bay had a much improved defense.

6. New York Giants - Daniel Jones QB Duke

Jones was a questionable pick on draft night as many thought that #6 was way too high for Jones. He played average as a rookie. If he can cut back on turnovers and continue to improve he could prove us doubters wrong. Jones completed 62% of his passes for 3,000 yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and 6 fumbles.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars - Josh Allen LB/DE Kentucky

Allen was one of the steals of draft not. I was a big fan of Allen and thought that the Jets should have taken him #3 overall. Well, I think he proved me right. Allen had 48 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. Allen is a huge star and a building block for the team's future.

8. Detriot Lions = TJ Hockenson TE Iowa

I was a big fan of Hockenson and thought this was a great pick. He started off strong by Stafford getting hurt and injuries really played a part in a just average season. Hockenson had 32 catches for 367 yards and 2 touchdowns in 12 games. I would definitely want more from a top 10 pick and hopefully what we saw in the first game of the year is what we can expect on a regular basis in year two.

9. Buffalo Bills - Ed Oliver DT Houston

I was not as high on Oliver as others, one; I thought he was too small to play DT in the NFL and his production came against lesser opponents. Oliver played solid in his rookie season. He helped his team to the playoffs. Oliver's stats were 43 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 passed defended and 1 forced fumble. If Oliver continues to improve then this pick could be worth it.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers - Devin Bush LB Michigan

I was a big fan of Bush as I think he is similar to White as a do everything linebacker that can excel in today's NFL. Bush did have a very good season on a great defense that almost carried loser quarterbacks to the playoffs. Bush played in every game leading the team with 109 tackles, 1 sack, 4 passed defended, and one forced fumble. So while I like Bush as a player and the pick it definitely losses value since Pittsburgh traded up. You should only be trading up for franchise QB's as no other position really gives you the value for losing other picks. The Steelers trading their first round pick, their 2nd round pick and a 3rd round pick to move up. That's just too much value lost for one player unless it's is a game altering best player at their position type.

11. Cincinnati Bengals - Jonah Williams OT Alabama

Williams was great prospect coming out of college, unfortunately, he got hurt and never played at all. We'll have to wait and see if the pick was worth it.

Grade = Fight rescheduled due to injury

12. Green Bay Packers - Rashan Gary DE/LB Michigan

I was not a fan of Gary at all and thought he was being projected too high in mock drafts. The Packers bought into the hype and selected him anyway. Gary is a classic has all the tools and potential guy without any real production. If his rookie year was any indication then this was a colossal bust of a pick. Gary had 21 tackles and 2 sacks in 16 games. I will give him a break because he did play for a 13-3 team that has two very good players starting in front of him so maybe he will look much better once he is a starter and playing more.

Grade = Split decision, rematch required to determine winner

13. Miami Dolphins - Christian Wilkins DT Clemson

Yet, another reason why I am not high on selecting defensive tackles high in the draft. Wilkins had an okay season for a bad team so maybe things will improve as the team improves. He did finish with 52 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 pass defended in 16 games.

14. Atlanta Falcons - Chris Lindstrom OG Boston College

Lindstrom did have an injury that kept him out for most of the season but while on the field he started 5 games, only had 1 penalty and gave up zero sacks according to PFF. As long as the injury bug isn't a consistent thing then Lindstrom should be worth this high of a pick.

15. Washington Redskins - Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio State

Haskins had an average year with 9 games played, 58% completion percentage, 1,300 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. So, some things to consider; Haskins only started 1 year in college so he is very raw with little experience, the old Washington staff might not have wanted him, his team was terrible and he didn't have a lot to work with. Time will tell if Haskins can be a franchise caliber QB.

16. Carolina Panthers - Brian Burns LB/DE Florida State

Burns was a real speed guy coming out of college and he showed some good stuff as a rookie. He had 25 tackles and 7.5 sacks playing in all 16 games. He did play injuried for part of the season so he could do even better in the future.

Grade = Win by 3rd round TKO

17. New York Giants - Dexter Lawrence DT Clemson

This is the 3rd Clemson defensive lineman taken in the top 17 picks which helped Clemson win a lot of games but I also think it padded all of their stats. I hate to say it again but defensive tackles just don't have the value to draft high. Lawrence had 38 tackles and 2.5 sacks as a rookie for an average defense and below average team. Getting a long term starter in the middle of the first round is okay but you should be shooting for more.

18. Minnesota Vikings - Garrett Bradbury OC North Carolina State

Bradbury started all 18 games for Minnesota as a rookie which says a lot as the team had a very successful season. Bradbury did give up too many sacks but he was a rookie. He also provided good run blocking as Cook had a great year.

Grade = Win by 2nd round TKO

19. Tennessee Titans - Jeffrey Simmons DT Mississippi State

Simmons missed the 1st half of the season with injury but played well when he came back with 32 tackles and 2 sacks in 9 games. He also helped the Titans make a deep run in the playoffs. The organization must feel good about him as well since they traded away long time starter Jurrell Casey.

Grade = Win by decision

20. Denver Broncos - Noah Fant TE Iowa

The Broncos did an outstanding job of trading back and gaining great value for the #10 overall pick as they added a 2nd and 3rd round selections. Fant was also a great pick as they needed a tight end. Fant was 2nd on the team in receiving with 40 catches for 562 yards and 3 touchdowns. Most importantly he had a great connections with young QB Lock. Fant should be a solid weapon for years to come.

Grade = Win by 1st Round TKO (added value for trading back)

21. Green Bay Packers - Darnell Savage S Maryland

Savage was a very solid player with 55 tackles, 5 passed defended, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles while playing in 14 games. He was also part of team that went 13-3 and was a legitimate Super Bowl contender; however the Packers traded away two 4th round picks to move up which all in all ins't a lot of value. Overall this was a solid move to get a starter in a position of need for a win now team.

22. Philadelphia Eagles - Andre Dilliard OT Washington State

The Eagles traded away a 4th and 6th round pick to move up a few spots and select Dillard. Not a lot of value to trade up for a position of importance. While Dillard didn't play much as a rookie, the organization must think enough of him as they have let long time starting left tackle Jason Peters explore free agency.

23. Houston Texans - Tytus Howard OT Alabama State

Bill O'Brien is the WORST head coach and general manager in the NFL. He is completely overwhelmed and has no idea what he is doing. The Eagles traded in font of them as they certainly wanted Dillard. This was a mega reach as no one had Howard as a first round prospect. Howard played okay at OG and OT before suffering an injury that cost him most of the season. Average right tackles can be found in the lower rounds of the draft.

24. Oakland Raiders - Josh Jacobs RB Alabama

Jacobs was the best RB coming into the draft and had a great season finishing 2nd in the offensive rookie of the year votes. He had over 1,000 yards rushing and helped his team almost make the playoffs. Hopefully the injury bug doesn't flare up every year as he missed the last few games. If he stays healthy and plays like he did then this is a really good pick.

25. Baltimore Ravens - Marquise Brown WR Oklahoma

I have no idea why any team trades with the Ravens, the Ravens always win. They are arguably the most well ran organization in the NFL. The Ravens traded back and still drafted a playmaker. Brown didn't produce eye popping stats but was the speed guy they needed to have the best offense in the NFL his rookie year. He should only get better and his impact on opening up the field for Jackson and the tight ends shouldn't be lost either.

26. Washington Redskins - Montez Sweat DE Mississippi State

The Redskins sent their 2019 2nd round pick and 2020 2nd round pick to move up and take Sweat. Giving up 2 potential starters for 1 is never a good idea unless you are getting a franchise caliber player. Sweat did play in all 16 games having 50 tackles, 7 sacks, 2 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles. Very solid numbers for what should be a starter for the next 4 years at least. Some value is lost in giving up a 2nd round pick.

27. Oakland Raiders - Jonathan Abram S Mississippis State

Abram was injured in the 1st game and never made it back to the field, so we will have to wait and see.

28. Los Angeles Chargers - Jerry Tillery DT Notre Dame

Tillery played in 15 games, had 18 tackles and 2 sacks. This was a big flop, I was a big fan of Tillery and thought this would be a great pick as the Chargers have Bosa and Ingram on the edge drawing attention. I thought Tillery would make teams pay from the middle, well; that didn't happen. Hopefully, he improves because I am not even sure he is a starter at this point.

29. Seattle Seahawks - LJ Collier DE TCU

This was a terrible pick on draft night and proved to be a complete mess during season one. Collier played in 11 games (was a healthy stretch for several) and only had 3 tackles. Just because you were playing on the opposite side of Clowney should result in some luck sacks or big plays. Absolutely the worse pick of the 1st round.

30. New York Giants - Deandre Baker CB Georgia

The Giants traded their 2nd, 5th, and 6th round picks to move up and take Baker. Not a bad move as coverage is the second most important thing to having a successful team in the NFL. The bad part was Baker's play, Baker had 61 tackles and 8 passes defended. According to Pro Football Reference Baker was targeted 88 times, giving up 6 touchdowns and a 116 QB rating. That is not great. Hopefully, the rookie improves.

31. Atlanta Falcons - Kaleb McGary OT Washington

The Falcons gave up their 2nd and 3rd round picks to get the Rams 1st and 6th round pick. I feel like this is not terrible but not great as far as trade value. The Falcons definitely wanted to upgrade the OL, the bad part was McGary might have been the worst RT in football as he gave up 13 sacks according to PFF. Hopefully, he improves as you can find below average RT's in the 4th round. This is easily the 2nd worst pick of the 1st round behind Collier

32. New England Patriots - K'Neal Harry WR Arizona State

I don't know why people don't listen to me, I had AJ Brown from Mississippi as the best WR in this class. Which he was, imagine if they Patriots had taken him, maybe they would have Tom Brady back. Harry was a total bust as he was injured for most of the year and average at best for the rest. This is the 3rd worst pick of the draft behind Collier and McGary.
