Rd 1, Pick 14: S/CB Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama

- Fitzpatrick will instantly be able to fill the Charles Woodson role in the Packers defense -- a safety who can seamlessly switch between safety, slot corner, and nickel linebacker. His presence will allow Clinton-Dix to play his natural position as a center fielder, and will allow Josh Jones to play a lot more linebacker, which helps add a ton of speed to the Packers' lackluster D.

Plan B: Derwin James, Josh Jackson, Denzel Ward, Tremaine Edmunds

Rd 2, Pick 45: CB Isaiah Oliver, Coloardo

- Both Walt and Charlie have Oliver off the board before the Packers' second pick (and acknowledge his possible entrance into the late first round), but there's still a chance he falls to this point. He fits what the Packers look for in a corner -- big and long with good athleticism. He has good potential as a press corner, and could form a dangerous duo with Kevin King.

Plan B: A WR that falls, Arden Key, Vander Esch (if he falls)

Rd 3, Pick 76: DE/OLB Lorenzo Carter, Georgia

- Carter is a workout warrior who could fly up the draft board, but his lackluster and inconsistent play keep him in play as a 3rd round pick. His athletic profile suggests star, but his play rarely showed it. The Pack select Carter with the hopes of him turning into a star. High boom/bust pick.

Plan B: Josh Sweat, Uchenna Nwosu, DJ Clark

Rd 4, Pick 101: WR Dante Pettis, Washington

- I agree with Charlie's pick. The Packers need speed at the receiving position, and Pettis brings that.

Rd 4, Pick 133: CB Dane Cruikshank, Arizona

- Green Bay has an awful secondary, so they should look to take two corners in the draft, even if they get Minkah. Cruikshank has upside, and has great size/speed.

Rd 5, Pick 138: WR Daurice Fountain, Northern Iowa

- With Nelson gone and Cobb regressing, the Packers should be looking at two receivers in the draft. Fountain has nice size/speed combination and according to Walt, he looked great at the East-West game and fits the range.

Rd 5, Pick 172: LB Jack Cichy, Wisconsin

- The Packers need more invested in their linebacking corp, and Cichy can both rush the passer and compete in the inside. He would go much higher had he actually been able to play college ball these last few years.

Rd 5, Pick 174: OT Brett Toth, Army

- He looked good at the East/West game, according to Walt, and can play either tackle spot. The Packers take him here, hoping he can replace the oft-injured Bulaga at the right tackle eventually.

Rd 6, Pick 186: OG Colby Gossett, Appalachian State

- Really any OL would work here. The Packers should get some depth to help protect the franchise.

Rd. 7, Pick 232: WR J'Mon Moore, Missouri

- Thompson loved picking wideouts late, so I could see the new GM taking a similar approach. According to Charlie, the Packers like this guy.

Rd. 7, Pick 239: QB Logan Woodside, Toledo

- I could see the Packers drafting a QB, even though they just traded for Kizer. I don't see Hundley on the team next year, so drafting a third QB late could make sense.
