The order of this 2017 NFL Mock Draft is loosely based on the new NFL Power Rankings.

NFL Draft Recent Links:

  1. Buffalo Bills: Jonathan Allen, DE/DT, Alabama
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Reggie Ragland, LB

All of the AFC East teams need to improve their ability to get to the quarterback, including the Bills, who have moved on from Mario Williams. The declining Kyle Williams is likely to be next, so here's a replacement.

  2. Baltimore Ravens: Lewis Neal, DE/OLB, LSU
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Laremy Tunsil, OT

Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil will be in their mid-30s by this time next year, so it's difficult to imagine them being on the roster for much longer. The Ravens will have to find some younger edge rushers.

  3. Denver Broncos: Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Vonn Bell, S

The Broncos took a chance on Russell Okung this offseason, but the oft-injured Okung may not pan out. If so, Denver will have to find a new left tackle the following offseason.

  4. Indianapolis Colts: Desmond King, CB, Iowa
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Noah Spence, DE/OLB

The Colts had poor play from their cornerbacks last year outside of Vontae Davis. And speaking of Davis, he'll be entering his contract season right after the 2017 NFL Draft, so a first-round corner is not out of the question.

  5. Houston Texans: Armani Watts, S, Texas A&M
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): William Fuller, WR

The Texans are weak at safety, but they'll likely be focused on other positions in the early rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft.

  6. Dallas Cowboys: Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Jalen Ramsey, CB/S

Malachi Dupre caught just 14 passes as a freshman, but he was considered the No. 1 receiver in the country coming out of his high school class, so he was expected to improve. That's exactly what he did, as his line of 43-698-6 was solid, considering he had absolutely no help at quarterback. The Cowboys could use someone as physically talented as Dupre across from Dez Bryant.

  7. Kansas City Chiefs: Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Cody Whitehair, G/C

The Chiefs will give Chris Conley another season to prove himself worthy of starting across from Jeremy Maclin. If he doesn't earn Andy Reid's trust, Kansas City will definitely consider a talented receiver with its first-round choice in 2017.

Mike Williams had a big year for Clemson in 2014, but played just one game last season because of a neck fracture. He's very talented, however, so if he recovers and performs well in 2016, he'll be a mid-first-round choice.

  8. Minnesota Vikings: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Josh Doctson, WR

Chad Greenway was retained for 2016, but he announced that this upcoming season would be his last in the NFL. As a result, the Vikings will have to find a third linebacker sometime in the near future.

  9. Oakland Raiders: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Eli Apple, CB

The Raiders would jump all over Ezekiel Elliott if given the chance, but they won't be able to obtain him. They're definitely in need of a starting running back, as the coaching staff doesn't trust Latavius Murray all that much.

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: Quin Blanding, S, Virginia
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Corey Coleman, WR

The Bengals had a number of key free agents this offseason. They re-signed some of them, but failed to keep Reggie Nelson, who was a valuable member of their defense. Here's a much-needed replacement.

  11. Green Bay Packers: Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Vernon Butler, DT

The Packers plan on moving Clay Matthews back outside this upcoming season, a move that has been long overdue. They've needed to find help at inside linebacker for quite some time, so the need is even more dire now.

  12. Seattle Seahawks: Marquis Haynes, DE/OLB, Ole Miss
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Robert Nkemdiche, DT

I had Seattle addressing its weak interior pass rush in my 2016 NFL Mock Draft. The team will also have to get better on the edge, and it can do that here with Marquis Haynes.

  13. New England Patriots: Pat Elflein, G, Ohio State
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): None

Bill Belichick acquired Jonathan Cooper for Chandler Jones, a sketchy move, much like the Logan Mankins trade. I'll be surprised if Cooper finally lives up to his potential, so if he predictably fails, here's an interior lineman

  14. Carolina Panthers: Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Laquon Treadwell, WR

Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short are both hitting the market shortly, and Carolina might be able to afford just one. They may pursue a defensive tackle early in the draft next offseason.

  15. Pittsburgh Steelers: Davon Godchaux, DE/DT, LSU
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Andrew Billings, NT

Even considering the Andrew Billings pick, the Davon Godchaux choice makes sense. The Steelers don't have much depth at defensive end, which is a problem because they want a deep rotation to put heat on th quarterback.

  16. Arizona Cardinals: Greg Pyke, OT, Georgia
2016 NFL Mock Draft Pick (as of 4/28): Ryan Kelly, C

The Cardinals spent a first-round selection on D.J. Humphries, but he has been a major disappointment thus far. If he once again can't see the field, Arizona will be in the market for a tackle early in the 2017 NFL Draft.
