Round 1

Picks 17-32
17. Bengals: Walter Nolen, DT, Texas A&M

Some other positions may force another pick. They already let Rankins go and could lose Hubbard, Hendrickson, Higgins and/or Pratt. Their D is a mess already.

18. Seahawks: Tyler Booker, G, Alabama

God awful testing numbers be damned. Booker is a people mover and the Hawks want to run more. Top true Guard prospect is nice value to need pick

19. Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Pick meets need with turnover at the position coming soon. He could go much higher and they get excellent value considering the next tier is the end of the 2nd round at best. Blitzing/pass rush a plus add to his running and coverage abilities.

20. Broncos: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Certainly not Brock Bowers but a good all around TE. Days of RB/QB packages are over. Blocking is ahead of the other TE prospects but needs work.

21. Steelers: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Feels like a safe pro ready pick and can stay comfortably in his 2nd receiver role with Pickens on the roster. Quite a handful of needs or upgrades are needed on the roster with QB, RB, OL, DL and DB turnover expected.

22. Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Guard/C can be addressed later. DL and DB need immediate attention too. A needed toy for Herbert.

23. Packers: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

He has moved up draft boards quite nicely through the off-season process.. GB needs a few DBs amongst other positions.

24. Vikings: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

I expect a trade out with only 3 picks. Could tag and trade Darnold to achieve that or move far down in a trade back. Barron can probably line up outside but may be best suited for slot or coverage safety. DB is a big need with age and FA catching up to usual starters.

25. Texans: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

Guard Jackson should be in play here. Bond can bring the speed element while Dell recovers for '26.

26. Rams: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

A replacement for Kupp. No 2nd hurts and DB/IOL need may trump a WR here as Mcvay can scheme with lesser talent than Burden lll.

27. Ravens: Malachi Starks, S, Georgia

Go a long way in helping the back end who were awful until the last few weeks of the season.

28. Lions: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State

Not the knee biting DE that is needed or mocked here. Injuries derailed their season throughout the defense. Thomas brings needed depth and versatility to combat that from happening again.

29. Commanders: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Medicals need to checkout plus he excelled against OSU's softer part off the schedule after a transfer in. One of the smaller edge players make some sense too. Green, Pearce or Ezeiruanku. Sawyer or Tui feel like reaches as bigger Ends.

30. Bills: Jordan Burch, DE/DT, Oregon

A riser who can rotate around the line if they can retain/restructure Miller's deal. 2 2nds to play with helps fill some needs. DT, WR and DB specifically.

31. Chiefs: Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina

Big, fluid and heady CB to fill a need on the outside. They already have a raw project T, so choosing another here seems redundant. With that said Conerly or a DT could be in play.

32. Eagles: James Pearce Jr., DE/OLB, Tennessee

Beyond size concerns, character issues have come up. Eased in here, Pearce can be afforded to bulk up and mature while just being a specialist on obvious passing downs in their awesome rotation. They will probably lose some of it to FA and retirement.
