Round 1

Picks 17-31
17. Steelers: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I copycat Walt here. No affect of Trade

18. Lions: Myles Murphy, DE, Clemson

Another ripple. I originally had Lions taking Lukas here, but they have to go down a notch - still a very good option, but different

19. Buccaneers: Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama

I believe a very good RB makes a QB better. Bucs will go QB shopping next round. No affect of Trade

20. Seahawks: Tuli Tuipulotu, DE, USC

Seahawks continue what I think will be the best draft of the year. With Carter and this guy (and a pick in Round 2) it will be amazing. No affect of trade

21. Chargers: Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan

If only Chargers will really do this. They can fix a lot of run defense problems with this pick. No affect of trade

22. Ravens: Isaiah Foskey, DE, Notre Dame

Another ripple, I had them taking Murphy here. So they go to the next good Edge. Still not a bad pick, just not as good.

23. Vikings: Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois

While it tempting to pick up a DT or DE, this is position of greatest need, and he is very good. and used to cold weather. No affect of trade

24. Jaguars: Brian Branch, S, Alabama

He solves a lot of secondary problems with his flexibilty No affect of trade

25. Giants: Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa

Giants really need a very good linebacker. While this may be a bit of a stretch, there aren't a lot of quality linebackers or DT's so get while the getting is good. No affect of trade

26. Cowboys: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson

While the Cowboys were disapointed when Gibbs was taken, they get a chance to shore up run defense here. I was tempted to plug Ika from Baylor, but there is a lot of talent and size with Bresee. No affect of trade

27. Bills: Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia

Another ripple. I originally had them taking O'Cyrus Torrance, but look there is a better Guard available. Again not much difference, but some

28. Bengals: Nolan Smith, OLB, Georgia

This is a perfect spot for Nolan. While he is a physical freak, he has not performed as expected. With the teammates and coaching he will get, he can be something special . No affect of trade

29. Saints: Tyrique Stevenson, CB, Miami

Saints address the woeful secondary. No affect of trade

30. Eagles: Calijah Kancey, DT, Pittsburgh

The rich just keeping richer. Another perfect fit. Calijah can hide between the monsters of the Eagle Dline and find the holes to get to the ball. No affect of trade

31. Chiefs: Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College

Too bad they didn't have him in this years Superbowl. It could have made a difference. It must be nice not having so many holes to fill.No affect of trade
