This NFL Draft order is based on the 2008 NFL Draft Order and 2008 Draft Prospect Rankings.
  1. Miami Dolphins: Mike Gibson, G, California
    I hope the Dolphins realize that Jake Long isn't the only upgrade they need on their offensive line.

  2. Minnesota Vikings: Carl Stewart, FB, Auburn
    Tony Richardson's gone and Thomas Tapeh isn't much of a replacement.

  3. Kansas City Chiefs: Brandon Coutu, K, Georgia
    I still can't believe Carl Peterson drafted Justin Medlock over Mason Crosby. Well, not true - when considering his recent drafts, I can definitely believe it.

  4. New York Jets: Colt Brennan, QB, Hawaii
    I can't see Chad Pennington being on the Jets much longer, so the team will need someone behind Kellen Clemens. Might as well replace one girly armed quarterback with another.



  5. Atlanta Falcons: Jalen Parmele, RB, Toledo
    If either Michael Turner or Justin Norwood goes down, the Falcons will have major depth issues at running back.

  6. Oakland Raiders: Jason Jones, WR, Arkansas-Pine Bluff
    Jason Jones runs a 4.3, so Al Davis will naturally be intrigued.

    I recently received an e-mail from someone who called me a "Raider Hater" for always making fun of the Silver and Black. I don't hate the Raiders; I'm just having some fun at their expense. They've done so many stupid things lately like hire a zombie and dish out tons of money to guys coming off ACLs.

  7. San Francisco 49ers: D.J. Wolfe, SS, Oklahoma
    Michael Lewis is a liability in pass coverage. D.J. Wolfe could be an eventual replacement down the road.

  8. Baltimore Ravens: Simeon Castille, FS/CB, Alabama
    The Ravens have a great pair of starting safeties, but they're hurting for depth.

  9. Detroit Lions: Chris Hopkins, TE, Toledo
    The Lions aren't making the tight end position a priority, but they may address it late in the draft.

  10. St. Louis Rams: Justin Forsett, RB, California
    It doesn't look like the Rams plan on using Brian Leonard at tailback anymore, so they could stand to use some depth behind Steven Jackson.



  11. New Orleans Saints: Fernando Velasco, C, Georgia
    Jonathan Goodwin should be able to do a solid job replacing Jeff Faine, but it wouldn't hurt to add some depth here.

  12. Buffalo Bills: Bernard Morris, QB, Marshall
    Even if the Bills keep J.P. Losman around this upcoming season, his contract expires next March. They'll need to groom someone behind Trent Edwards.

  13. Denver Broncos: Michael Grant, CB, Arkansas
    In two games against the Chargers, Denver's secondary saw Philip Rivers go 30-of-45 for 459 yards, three touchdowns and no picks. Depth could be used at corner.

  14. Carolina Panthers: Matt Flynn, QB, LSU
    I've seen a lot of mocks having Carolina go quarterback early. While the Panthers will address the signal-caller position in this draft, I think they do so later rather than sooner.

  15. Chicago Bears: Pedro Sosa, OT, Rutgers
    More help for Chicago's woeful offensive line.

  16. Houston Texans: Pierre Garcon, WR, Mount Union
    Why does it seem like Andre Johnson's always hurt? The Texans need some insurance.

  17. Buffalo Bills: Andy Studebaker, OLB, Wheaton
    A potential seventh-round gem, Andy Studebaker could be an excellent backup behind Angelo Crowell.



  18. Arizona Cardinals: Mike Dragosavich, P, North Dakota State
    You know you're hurting for a punter when you have to settle for Dirk Johnson.

  19. Oakland Raiders: Lionel Dotson, DT, Arizona
    Some depth is needed behind the vastly overpaid Terdell Sands and Tommy Kelly.

  20. Denver Broncos: Brett Kern, P, Toledo
    Denver's punting situation is even grimmer than Arizona's; the Broncos would die to have Dirk Johnson.

  21. Washington Redskins: Tyson DeVree, TE, Colorado
    A decent H-back is needed behind Chris Cooley.

  22. Tennessee Titans: Sam Keller, QB, Nebraska
    Kerry Collins has just one more year left on his contract, so the Titans will need someone decent to throw to their crappy receivers just in case Vince Young gets hurt in 2009 and beyond.

  23. Philadelphia Eagles: Jeremy Geathers, DE, UNLV
    I doubt Darren Howard makes the team, and the Eagles could use someone with more upside anyway.

  24. Cleveland Browns: Jonathan Hefney, FS, Tennessee
    It wouldn't hurt to add some competition at free safety, as Brodney Pool isn't the most consistent player in the world.

  25. Atlanta Falcons: Josh Morgan, WR, Virginia Tech
    It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Falcons cut Joe Horn and Michael Jenkins in the preseason.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Art Carmody, K, Louisville
    I really hope Mike Holmgren's career doesn't end on a missed field goal in the playoffs. Olindo Mare sucks.



  27. San Diego Chargers: Brandon Carr, CB, Grand Valley State
    Expect the Chargers to look for some cornerback depth in the later rounds.

  28. Dallas Cowboys: Kyle Wright, QB, Miami
    The Cowboys don't have much behind Tony Romo, and I'm including Brad Johnson, who's pretty much done.

  29. Indianapolis Colts: Tim Hightower, RB, Richmond
    Some competition behind Joseph Addai and Kenton Keith wouldn't be a bad thing.

  30. Green Bay Packers: Joe Jon Finley, TE, Oklahoma
    The Packers love having depth at tight end, which is something they're lacking right now.

  31. New England Patriots: Vincent Redd, DE/OLB, Liberty
    More linebackers no one has ever heard of for Bill Belichick. It's his time to shine.

  32. Kansas City Chiefs: Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State
    The Chiefs need more receiving help, so why not take a shot here with the troubled Adarius Bowman?

  33. Baltimore Ravens: Cory Byrd, RB, South Carolina
    The Ravens are getting a lot of value this late with Cory Byrd. It never hurts to have enough talent at a key position.

  34. Carolina Panthers: Al Phillips, CB, Wagner
    I don't think you can ever have too much depth at corner.

  35. Washington Redskins: Bobbie Williams, FS, Bethune-Cookman
    Some much-needed depth at safety. Bobbie Williams can help out on special teams as well.

  36. Chicago Bears: Haruki Nakamura, FS, Cincinnati
    Three or four years from now, when Haruki Nakamura's starting in the NFL, people are going to talk about him as a late-round steal in 2008. Nakamura's Pro Day numbers were terrible, which is the only reason he's going this late. The most important thing is that he's an incredible football player.

  37. Cincinnati Bengals: Anthony Morelli, QB, Penn State
    Let me just say that Anthony Morelli fits perfectly into Cincinnati's locker room. Morelli is in all likelihood the dumbest player in the draft, but his golden arm will catch the attention of some team in Round 7.

  38. Miami Dolphins: Mark Bradford, WR, Stanford
    Ernest Wilford was one of many shady acquisitions Bill Parcells made this offseason. I'll be shocked if Wilford becomes a solid No. 2 option for John Beck.

  39. Cincinnati Bengals: Dominique Barber, FS, Minnesota
    It never hurts to have too much depth in the secondary.

  40. Chicago Bears: Kirk Elder, G, Texas A&M
    You guessed it... more help for the worst offensive line in the NFC.

  41. Chicago Bears: Adam Spieker, C, Missouri
    Yeah, umm... you know the drill.

  42. Washington Redskins: Bryan Smith, OLB, McNeese State
    Bryan Smith could be a very solid backup behind Rocky McIntosh.

  43. Carolina Panthers: Chase Ortiz, DE, TCU
    The NFL's a copycat league, so we could see lots of teams adding multiple defensive ends in this draft.

  44. Buffalo Bills: Ryan Torain, RB, Arizona State
    The Bills don't need a running back, but Ryan Torain is a steal with the penultimate pick in this draft.

  45. St. Louis Rams: Justin Tryon, CB, Arizona State
    Two Sun Devils at the bottom of this mock. You can't script this stuff. Anyway, the Rams need help at corner, as it looks like Jonathan Wade is yet another bust the Rams have drafted recently.

  • Arizona Cardinals: Mike Dragosavich, P, North Dakota State
    You know you're hurting for a punter when you have to settle for Dirk Johnson.
