2010 NFL Mock Re-Draft: Round Four

This is a 2010 NFL Mock Re-Draft of Rounds 4 for Saturday's NFL Draft coverage. With all of the trades that will go down, I don't expect to get many of these right; in fact, I'll be thrilled if I nail one or two correctly. But it's still fun to speculate where the top prospects will go in Round 4 of the 2010 NFL Draft.

99. St. Louis Rams: Aaron Hernandez, TE, Florida
    The Rams have to get Sam Bradford some sort of weapon. Aaron Hernandez would be a nice target and a good fit in St. Louis' West Coast offense.
    
    
    
100. Minnesota Vikings: Mitch Petrus, G, Arkansas
     The Vikings really struggled to run the football last year. Both center John Sullivan and right guard Anthony Herrera underperformed in that department.
     
     
101. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Corey Wootton, DE, Northwestern
     The Buccaneers like Corey Wootton and must bolster their anemic pass rush.
     
     
102. Houston Texans: Robert Johnson, FS, Utah
     The Texans can't count on Eugene Wilson staying healthy. They also need all of the secondary help they can get if they want to finally defeat Peyton Manning.
     
     
103. Washington Redskins: James Starks, RB, Buffalo
     You know Mike Shanahan is going to spend a mid- or late-round pick on a running back who will eventually rush for 1,000 yards. James Starks seems like he would be a really good fit for Shanahan's offense.
     
     
104. Seattle Seahawks: Ricky Sapp, DE, Clemson
     Seattle had only 28 sacks in 2009. The team really needs to bolster its pass rush, especially in the wake of Patrick Kerney's retirement. Ricky Sapp is best in the 3-4, but can play in the 4-3. His knee issues drop him to Round 4.
     
     
105. Philadelphia Eagles: Perrish Cox, CB/KR, Oklahoma State
     I'll be shocked if the Eagles don't come away with AT LEAST one cornerback in this round; I thought they were in need of corner depth even before they traded away Sheldon Brown.
     
     
     
     
     
106. Oakland Raiders: Matt Tennant, C/G, Boston College
     If Al Davis were still making these picks - I'm more and more convinced that he's not (or he's at least enlisted some help) - then this would be Marshall Newhouse. These 2010 Raiders will take Matt Tennant instead to bolster the interior of their offensive front.
     
     
107. Buffalo Bills: Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
     What a smokescreen. General manager Buddy Nix spent the entire offseason talking about improving the team's pass protection, yet he hasn't spent a single pick on an offensive lineman yet. Unless he can get a talented tackle in Round 4, the AFC East pass-rushers will have the last laugh.
     
     I understand that Bruce Campbell has bad tape and lapses in concentration, but he shouldn't have fallen this far. Campbell has the potential to be an elite left tackle; he just has to be paired with a strong-minded coach who can get the best out of him.
     
     
108. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jamar Chaney, ILB, Mississippi State
     The Jaguars are really hurting at inside linebacker and would love to get a player of Jamar Chaney's caliber in the middle of Round 4. They also need a defensive end and center.
     
     
109. Chicago Bears: Ed Wang, OT, Virginia Tech
     The Bears are really desperate for some offensive line help. It looks as though Frank Omiyale is currently slated to play right tackle next season. Chicago's front office cannot let that happen.
     
     
110. San Diego Chargers: Cam Thomas, NT, North Carolina
     The Chargers need a nose tackle to replace Jamal Williams, and Cam Thomas is a steal in Round 4.
     
     
111. Tennessee Titans: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB/KR, IUP
     I have a hard time seeing the Titans pass up an athletic cornerback. They have to address that position soon.
     
     
112. Carolina Panthers: Geno Atkins, DT, Georgia
     I loved Carolina's first two picks, but I was really disappointed they didn't go after a defensive tackle when they traded up and surrendered their 2011 second-round pick.
     
     
113. New England Patriots: Everson Griffen, DE/OLB, USC
     Somehow, some way the Patriots get their man. I believe this would involve trading up, now that everyone knows that they like him (they were speaking to him on the phone when the Panthers called in with that ridiculous trade.)
     
     
114. Baltimore Ravens: Dominique Franks, CB, Oklahoma
     Dominique Franks is the best player available and will help a team that committed the most pass interference penalties in the league last year.
     
     
115. New York Giants: Dekoda Watson, LB, Florida State
     If the Giants don't acquire a linebacker soon, their fans may torch the new stadium. Dekoda Watson is perfect for Perry Fewell's defense.
     
     
116. Pittsburgh Steelers: Walter Thurmond, CB, Oregon
     I like all of Pittsburgh's picks thus far, but they have to address the cornerback position at some point.
     
     
117. Atlanta Falcons: Mardy Gilyard, WR/KR, Cincinnati
     Wide receiver is not a huge need, but there's no denying that Matt Ryan could benefit from a solid No. 2 wideout across from Roddy White.
     
     
     
     
     
118. Houston Texans: Austen Lane, DE, Murray State
     You can never have too many talented pass-rushers when you're trying to beat Peyton Manning.
     
     
119. Dallas Cowboys: Kurt Coleman, FS, Ohio State
     Despite getting burnt for a long touchdown against the Vikings, Gerald Sensabaugh played well this year. The Cowboys will now have to focus on finding an upgrade at free safety.
     
     
120. Cincinnati Bengals: Arthur Jones, DT, Syracuse
     Arthur Jones is a talented player but seems to have lapses in concentration. This won't bother the Bengals though. They just re-signed Tank Johnson, but the contract is basically a year-to-year type of deal so Cincinnati can monitor his performance. Tank wasn't terrible last year, but he can certainly be upgraded. Depth at defensive tackle is needed anyway.
     
     
121. Philadelphia Eagles: Joe McKnight, RB, USC
     The Eagles were reportedly interested in Dexter McCluster, which makes sense; they need a running back behind LeSean McCoy, and Joe McKnight seems like he's built for Andy Reid's offense.
     
     
122. Philadelphia Eagles: Walter McFadden, CB, Auburn
     The Eagles double dip at cornerback here. Again, with four picks in Round 4, they must really focus on this position.
     
     
     
123. Arizona Cardinals: Thaddeus Gibson, DE/OLB, Ohio State
     Joey Porter is just a temporary fix at rush linebacker. The Cardinals need a long-term solution.
     
     
124. New York Jets: Reshad Jones, S, Georgia
     Rex Ryan loves Reshad Jones. Unless another prospect entices Ryan more, Jones will be the pick here (if available, of course).
     
     
125. Philadelphia Eagles: John Skelton, QB, Fordham
     With Donovan McNabb gone, Andy Reid will be looking for a mid-round developmental quarterback to have behind Kevin Kolb. John Skelton has a nice arm and tremendous upside.
     
     
126. Miami Dolphins: Anthony McCoy, TE, USC
     It definitely wouldn't hurt to give Chad Henne a reliable tight end to work with.
     
     
     
     
     
127. Seattle Seahawks: Joshua Moore, CB, Kansas State
     Let's blame Marcus Trufant's poor season on a non-existent pass rush. And Ken Lucas? Well, he's just not that good. Help at corner will be addressed in the middle rounds of the 2010 NFL Draft.
     
     
128. Detroit Lions: Myron Rolle, SS, Florida State
     The Lions need to continue upgrading their secondary. Myron Rolle is one of the top players available and fills a position of need. Plus, the fans would love the pick.
     
     
129. Indianapolis Colts: Jacoby Ford, WR/KR, Clemson
     The Colts definitely don't need another receiver right now, but they have to acquire a return specialist to improve their special teams. Jacoby Ford is one of the best players available.
     
     
130. New Orleans Saints: Greg Hardy, DE, Ole Miss
     The Saints love taking the top guy on their board. That very well could be Greg Hardy, a first-round prospect whose stock has dropped because of numerous injuries. If he can get over those injuries, however, New Orleans will have another stud pass-rusher on the roster. Hardy's worth the risk at the bottom of Round 4.
     
     
131. Cincinnati Bengals: Kam Chancellor, S, Virginia Tech
     Kam Chancellor has major issues in coverage, but like Taylor Mays, he would be a great fit in Mike Zimmer's system.
