If you saw my 200 Club betting last year congrats hopefully you made some money off my picks.  If not I'll post my weekly college and/or pro picks as well as some soccer picks this year but first I need to pop off at Fanduel.

For the second time (and last) I had to cash out my Fanduel online account because the recent app update made it impossible to bet at all.  What's the effin point of an app that isn't functional?  That was the tech issue that I referred to last year that made the first part of football season on paper only.  I get that they need a geolocater to let me gamble legally but FFS every other book can handle it why can't they?  It barely worked at times when I am in my Jersey office let alone today even though I had 4 5G bars of service.  I liked the book itself and enjoy going to the Meadowlands in person as well but I will never open up an online account with them again.  Ok rant over now on to today's bets which due to their incompetance are virtual only although if I can get Draft Kings up I maybe can get in some night games...

I am usually a small time bettor who actually is slightly ahead of the books overall with most of my winnings in turf handicapping for the ponies college football and pro football but occasionally I hit hot streaks in soccer as well.  That is what the rest of this article will be about - how I make money at soccer betting and whether I can continue to do so. I doubled up my now defunct Fanduel account in just a few straight weeks while betting the major tourneys that just finished up (Euro, Copa, Gold Cup) by looking for the ties.  Most soccer betting is three-way betting (Home, Away and Tie) and in a knockout tourney if the game goes into extra time or penalties the tie bet wins.  You usually get between 200 and 300 for a tie bet which is right where I want to be mainly because you don't have to be as good to make money.  The bets I will lay out will mostly be singles but sometimes I will play a two teamer if the odds are good enough.  On to today with one final caveat - never bet any soccer league under a second division because that is where the match fixing occurs - I will only bet major and secondary leagues as a result (EPL, La Liga, Seria A, Mexican, etc). Gambling is hard enough without the added uncertainty of shady results.

I look for teams that are evenly matched where the betting line is similar to this: A +125 T +230 H +275.  This indicates a slight home dog.  Never bet negative road teams in soccer - it is too difficult to make money in the long run.

All bets this week are Fanduel 1 Unit each on the Tie unless indicated.  Hopefully soon it will be DraftKings lines.

Some of these are hitting already which annoys me more :)

Update: I am 2 of 5 on early games profit 1.6 units and at least Fanduel paid me quickly. Money is in my account already...

2nd Update: Draft Kings working on it I might get night game in.  2 more ties in Spanish league. 7 units wagered 5.9 profit arghh. Come on Draft Kings make it happen :)
