Round 1
Jalen Milroe is on fire. I wrote a few mocks before the 2024 season with Milroe at the top, and I have to say... I was right. This guy seems destined to be the number-one pick. As for the guy he would be replacing... Tua needs to retire and get into coaching—Milroe to Miami.
I am very tempted to put Travis Hunter here as he is the most talented player on the board, but the Pats desperately need a tackle (Banks plays tackle, not guard) to protect Drake Maye for the future. Banks to New England.
Sanders could easily Eli this pick and flat-out say no to the Titans franchise, but I am going to say he becomes motivated to be the next incredible black quarterback for this franchise (Warren Moon and Steve McNair). Will Levis make the most boneheaded plays you will ever see, and if the Titans are picking three, then he will be replaced. Sanders to Tennessee.
Jacksonville has a need at corner and wide receiver and the BPA is also a corner and a wide receiver. Easy pick. Hunter to Jacksonville.
The Browns have to give up on Watson. Just bite the bullet. They would start over and go with a young signal-caller like Ewers if they had any sense. Ewers to Cleveland.
The Giants desperately need a new guy under center, and it will be either Beck or Nuss in this spot. Beck struggled in Tuscaloosa last weekend. That being said, he did show some outstanding flashes. Not QB1 flashes, but QB3-5 flashes. Beck, with the right QB coach and play-caller, could be a serviceable quarterback in the league—Beck to NYC.
Campbell has struggled at times this year, but he is still a good enough player to slide in at eight. He started at LSU as a freshman and could thrive at the next level if he continues developing. Caleb Williams desperately needs protection out there; he is running for his life every dang play—Campbell to Chicago.
At one point last week, Bo Nix had seven completions for -7 yards. He needs weapons if he wants to be serviceable. Tet is 6'5" and provides a massive target for a struggling quarterback like Bo Nix. The Broncos also need receivers, as Sean Payton has publicly called out the wideouts for not making enough plays-- McMillan to Denver.
Nussmeier has played his way into being a first round pick and while he may not be top ten material, Las Vegas desperately needs a new quarterback and at this spot they really do not have any choice. Who knows, Nussmeier could be the best of the group-- Nussmeier to Las Vegas.
BPA and a position of need. The Cardinals cannot stop the pass to save their life. They are 31st out of 32 teams at YPA with 8.5 per attempt. Only the Rams are worse at stopping the pass. Anyways, Will Johnson is an absolute stud and getting him at 11 is a steal--Johnson to Arizona.
The Colts give Richardson another year and decide to double down by getting him a weapon. Enter Burden. A freak receiver who can do it all. His presence offers Richardson a consistent threat at wideout, someone he can depend on to get open. Plus, this bolsters an average list of receivers into an above-average group just by adding Luther Burden III--Burden to Indy.
Another team that desperately needs corner help. Los Angeles goes back and forth between taking a tackle and a corner, but Morrison is just too good to pass up. I like Morrison to be their CB #1 from day one. If you have watched any of the Irish this year you have seen how ridiculous their secondary is and it starts with Benjamin Morrison--Morrison to Los Angeles.
Steal. Steal. Steal. BPA and the pick fits a need. Atlanta could also look at a wide receiver, but I like them to go with Pearce here. Even after the Judon trade--Pearce to Atlanta.
Dallas has zero running game and to be honest Jeanty might just be the BPA. Taking a RB at this number might be unconventional, but Jeanty is just too special to pass up--Jeanty to Dallas.
Mason Graham and Jim Harbaugh are reunited. Harbaugh loves his guys in the trenches and he would be ecstatic to land Graham--Graham to Los Angeles.
