Round 1

I don't know about you, but the Trey Hendrickson saga has been wild and I don't know when it's going to end. But the signs point towards Cincy needing some edge rushers, and see comments above to see why they pounce now.

I could very well see this pick becoming a receiver, especially if offensive lineman become a hot commodity with the picks preceding Seattle. But, with Kupp in the building and no offensive line improvement to speak of, this pick seems set up for months.

The only true 1st round linebacker's slide stops here. This could also be a pick at CB, but Lavonte David is not getting any younger.

This is really good value for the 2nd best RB in this class. Do not come at me with "You shouldn't take RB's in the 1st!" because we just saw what a game-changing RB did for the Eagles. Running backs are so back!

I could definitely see the Steelers trading up to make sure they get Jaxson Dart, but in this scenario, no trades allowed. So the Steelers stand pat and get their QB of the future... after failing repeatedly to get a QB for 2025 in free agency.

The bottom of the first is when some good skill position players will begin to come off the board. The Chargers need help all over the offense with skill. This pick may end up being edge rusher too with the departure of Bosa.

A cornerback has come off the board! The packers need help at CB and WR, but with the best corner on the board sitting there, the Packers can't help but select him.

The Vikings need 4 things pretty bad: Safety, Corner, DT and RB. While there are great players available at all 4 positions here, I feel they take best player available (at least one that doesn't have injury concerns).

We saw the destruction of an offensive line this offseason in Houston, so I don't see many other options here. With the Texans needing help across the whole line, this pick could easily be Grey Zabel if they like him more than Simmons.

Injuries Sminjuries. My favorite cornerback coming into the draft has fallen off a cliff due to an injury shortened season, followed by missing the combine and his pro day due to injury. However, injuries don't scare McVay here and he jumps to take a stellar player at a position of need.

The Ravens are an interesting team at this spot. They could take OL, DL or DB at this spot. However, with a bit of a CB dropoff here and OL starting to become thin, the Ravens take best player available.

While in my opinion the Lions should be looking to replace free agency departure Zietler, the overwhelming consensus thinks the pick here is edge rusher. So the Lions take one of the last 1st-round talents off the board at the position.

Remember when Washington had that amazing defensive line but was hot garbage? Because I do, but now the tables have turned. After getting pummeled in the NFC championship due to a lackluster D-line, Washington restarts the D-line rebuild with an edge rusher.

The combine phenom saw his stock rise after that amazing performance, and the Bills jump on it quick to fill a gaping hole in their defense. I will note, I could see this pick easily swinging to WR if Hairston is gone by this point.

While the Chiefs could use help along the whole offensive AND defensive line after getting throttled in the Super Bowl, it seems O-line is the more pressing issue. But this pick seems destined to be a lineman, regardless of which side of the ball he is on.

The Eagles get their second super bowl every and then lose a lot of key players in the process, reminiscent of their first run around. However, they were able to retain a few key players that give them more flexible in this draft. Notably, they let the defensive line flock elsewhere knowing they can rebuild it in this draft.
