Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

At this point, the Titans have all but yelled at everyone they are going to be taking Cam Ward #1 overall. This is the guaranteed pick of this year's draft.

2. Browns: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

And this is where it can all be turned upside down. While it seems like they clearly don't like Shedeur, it is down to Hunter or Carter with the latest news being Hunter. I never know what the Browns will do, so I will have to trust the reporting.

3. Giants: Abdul Carter, OLB, Penn State

Another inflection point in the draft, and only 1 pick later! My personal opinion is they should take Shedeur, but it sounds like that ship has sailed. Kayvon Thibodeaux has hit bust status, and they can replace him here.

4. Patriots: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

If Carter and Hunter are off the board here, I don't see the Patriots going any other way but offense. Now that Drake Maye is fully taking over the team, the whole offseason has been working towards improving their offense. What better way to help your rookie QB then to get him some protection with the best lineman in the class?

5. Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

I keep debating in my head whether they fill a huge need on their roster with a blue chip defender or give Lawrence a blue chip weapon in Warren... I am going to lead Graham with how barren the middle of their defense is.

6. Raiders: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

I feel like this pick is getting an over-picked fatigue but that is because it just makes WAY TOO MUCH SENSE!!! People would like to overthink this pick when it is a match made in heaven, especially after the Geno Smith extension.

7. Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

What was the thing that arguably ruined Justin Fields in Chicago? Offensive line. But in this scenario, the best offensive lineman is off the board and you have to jump at the opportunity to draft a blue chip tight end that can take pressure off your QB and your #1 WR.

8. Panthers: Jalon Walker, OLB, Georgia

I could easily see this pick going the WR direction if they are wanting to give Bryce Young some more weapons. However, EDGE is such an overwhelming need at this point and Carolina can't pass up on the chance for the #2 edge rusher in a stacked class.

9. Saints: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Before the Derek Carr news, I was convinced this is where the first cornerback would be going in the draft. But with recent developments comes a new consensus pick: the 2nd QB off the board. The Kellen Moore era is ushered in with a pick that would've been unthinkable just 2 months ago.

10. Bears: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

The Bears are another interesting pick in the sense of they have the freedom to move in multiple directions. Add a running back and take the pressure off of Caleb Williams? Nah, they'll do that in round 2. Take an edge rusher to improve the defense that has been so abysmal for years? Nah, not with Ben Johnson in charge. The Bears move to solidify their bona-fide O-Line makeover this offseason with a bookend tackle for years to come.

11. 49ers: Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia

I am a big believer that this year's CB class is very underwhelming, especially when compared to the D-Line class. While the 49ers suddenly have major needs in the backfield and along the lines on both sides of the ball, they go with best player available at a position of need. And in this case, that happens to be an edge rusher.

12. Cowboys: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Oh Dallas, how you bewilder us all. While my gut tells me they take the 2nd best RB in this class in Hampton, all signs are pointing towards WR. Just as their defensive CB counterparts, the WR class is very underwhelming in regards to Round 1 talent. However, the Cowboys jump at taking one of the only justifiable receivers in this class.

13. Dolphins: Kelvin Banks, OT/G, Texas

It truly amazes me how quickly the Dolphins feel from the league darling in 2023 to this mess of a roster heading into 2025... but here we are. I struggle whether they take O-Line, the best safety on the board or TE. But my gut tells me this pick goes towards protecting Tua and his concussion-prone self.

14. Colts: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

The Idaho-grown prospect who suffered a down year due to a poor offense at Michigan deserves to go higher than this. But unfortunately, when Warren has an insane season like he did, it was bound to drop him. The Colts get their first answer at tight end since Jack Doyle retired.

15. Falcons: James Pearce Jr., DE/OLB, Tennessee

If I hadn't made it clear to this point, I feel that weaker position groups will fall to the bottom of the first/top of the second due to this year's strong D-Line class. People will want their pick of the best edge rushers when they have the chance and take some swings at other prospects later. The Falcons do that just here and fill a huge need at edge rusher and become the 4th team to take one off the board.

16. Cardinals: Shemar Stewart, DE, Texas A&M

I don't think I need to give my speech again. This pick could very realistically go WR or OL, but I feel with the best lineman off the board and some stellar edge rushers still here, this pick makes sense. Add a good DE and address the offense on Day 2.
