Round 1

Picks 17-32
17. Bengals: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Cincinnati adds Rome Odunze to become the new #2 receiver behind Ja'Marr Chase.

18. Jaguars: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas

TRADE: Jacksonville trades with Buffalo to select Adonai Mitchell. The Jaguars continue to build around Trevor Lawrence with a high-upside receiver.

19. Saints: Prospect not selected

The WR run continues with the Saints adding an electric receiver to eventually replace Michael Thomas. Franklin is long and lean and will pair well with Chris Olave.

20. Vikings: Dallas Turner, OLB, Alabama

I think Kirk Cousins comes back so, in that case, Minnesota adds the talented pass rusher in Dallas Turner to continue adding pressure and confusion to the opposing QB.

21. Cardinals: Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina

Xavier Legette is a freaky receiver along the same lines as a DK Metcalf. Legette might not be as smooth of an operator as the receivers taken ahead of him but he will remind Jonathan Gannon of the impact AJ Brown had on the Eagles. Legette with Michael Wilson and Hollywood Brown can build something special in the desert.

22. Seahawks: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

The Seahawks have quietly built a very complete team with no glaring holes. Geno Smith is still the man in Seattle but Pete Carroll will want to add a young protege. JJ McCarthy is a young QB with a lot of upside. The biggest reason why I love this fit is McCarthy is doing for Michigan exactly what Carroll wants out of his QB: manage the offense, avoid turnovers, make the plays in front of him, and keep the offense on schedule. I think McCarthy will sit for a year or two before playing his way into the starting role.

23. Steelers: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

The Steelers must continue to build the offensive line so they go back to Georgia to select Broderick Jones' old teammate in Amarius Mims. Talent-wise Mims is a top talent in the class. He falls to 23 (and could fall further) due to a sheer lack of playing time. If the Steelers are comfortable with his injury history, they will select Mims to play Right Tackle with Jones manning the blindside.

24. Texans: Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, Clemson

Ruke Orhorhoro's name will rise up draft boards in the coming months. Houston continues building a scary rotation along the defensive line.

25. Dolphins: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

Miami desperately needs to find talent and stability on the offensive line. Tyler Guyton is a big tackle with lots of upside. Look for him to find a starting spot sooner than later.

26. Cowboys: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

Age and injuries in the defensive backfield cause the Cowboys to look to a talented and aggressive cornerback in Terrion Arnold.

27. 49ers: Cooper DeJean, S/CB, Iowa

San Francisco nabs Cooper DeJean to play in the slot. DeJean excels in zone coverage and will be able to play a robber role due to the aggressive pass rush in front of him.

28. Bills: Jared Verse, DE, Florida State

After trading down, Buffalo selects Jared Verse to add talent on the defensive line. The Bills need to add size and toughness in the trenches to close out games and Verse will be a perfect addition to this squad.

29. Chiefs: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

The Chiefs add a wide receiver to become a security blanket Patrick Mahomes trusts. Emeka Egbuka can separate underneath and quickly become a top target behind Travis Kelce.

30. Lions: Landon Jackson, DE, Arkansas

Landon Jackson is another player whose name will rise up boards. Landon Jackson is a big defensive end who will catch Detroit's eye as a complement to Aiden Hutchinson.

31. Ravens: Kalen King, CB, Penn State

It seems like every year, mock drafts are trying to give Baltimore a cornerback and Kalen King fits the skill set and personality of a Raven.

32. Rams: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon

TRADE: The Rams trade with the Eagles to select Bo Nix as the QB of the future.

Nix has the arm talent and athleticism to excel in the Rams' offense.
