2017 NFL Mock Re-Draft: Round 3

This is a 2017 NFL Mock Re-Draft of Rounds 2 and 3 for Friday evening's NFL Draft coverage. With all of the trades that will go down, I don't expect to get many of these right (I nailed seven in my Re-Draft Round 2 in 2012, five in my Re-Draft Rounds 2-3 in 2014 and 2015, six in my Re-Draft Rounds 2-3 in 2016), but it's still fun to speculate where the top prospects will go on Day 2 of the 2017 NFL Draft.

65. Cleveland Browns: Montravius Adams, DE/DT, Auburn
    With Desmond Bryant hitting free agency next year, the Browns will be on the lookout for an insurance policy in the interior of their defensive line.

66. San Francisco 49ers: Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA
    This is a steal for the 49ers, who obtain a cornerback who could possibly go late in the first round.
    
    
67. San Francisco 49ers: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State
    All the 49ers have at receiver is Pierre Garcon, so that'll need to change if they want Kirk Cousins to succeed here.
    
    




68. Jacksonville Jaguars: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
    The Jaguars have a bunch of nickel cornerbacks and need more players at the position who can play on the outside. Tom Coughlin is new to the team and could take a lot of chances as a result.
    
    
69. Los Angeles Rams: Dorian Johnson, G, Pittsburgh
    The Rams need to add lots of talent to help develop Jared Goof, which seems like a problem because they don't have a first-round pick. Their pass protection definitely needs to improve.
    
    
70. New York Jets: Ahkello Witherspoon, CB, Colorado
    It goes without saying that the Jets desperately need to find help at cornerback to replace Darrelle Revis.
    
    




71. Los Angeles Chargers: Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
    Philip Rivers expects his team to add a quarterback at some point in the 2017 NFL Draft. That could happen in the Round 3-5 range.
    
    
72. New England Patriots: Trey Hendrickson, DE, Florida Atlantic
    The Patriots traded for Kony Ealy, but it still wouldn't surprise me if they obtained another defensive end after losing Chris Long.
    
    
73. Cincinnati Bengals: Isaac Asiata, G, Utah
    The Bengals lost multiple key offensive linemen this offseason, so they'll have to dedicate some resources to make sure their blocking unit is still functional.
    
    




74. Baltimore Ravens: Malik McDowell, DE/DT, Michigan State
    The Ravens need to address their defensive line in the wake of the Timmy Jernigan trade, and Malik McDowell provides great value here. McDowell has interviewed extremely poorly with everyone and could drop as a result.
    
    
75. Buffalo Bills: David Sharpe, OT, Florida
    The Bills have a huge need at right tackle they'll need to address at some point on Friday.
    
    
76. New Orleans Saints: Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami
    The Saints don't have a successor for Drew Brees, so this could be the time to obtain a potential future quarterback.
    
    




77. Arizona Cardinals: Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
    The Cardinals re-signed Jermaine Gresham, but they could still be in the market for a second-day tight end.
    
    
78. Baltimore Ravens: Ryan Anderson, DE/OLB, Alabama
    The Ravens passed on the edge rushers. Luckily for them, this class is stacked as far as pass-rushers are concerned. Baltimore may opt to draft two of them.
    
    





79. Minnesota Vikings: Nico Siragusa, G, San Diego State
    The Vikings attempted to upgrade their offensive line this offseason, but it seems like they didn't do a very good job. They added two underwhelming tackles and didn't upgrade one of the troublesome guard slots. Here's their chance to add some talent to the blocking unit.
    
    
80. Indianapolis Colts: Blair Brown, LB, Ohio
    The Colts signed Sean Spence this offseason, but he's not nearly enough to fix their glaring inside linebacker problem.
    
    
81. Washington Redskins: Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
    The Redskins are getting a great value pick in Justin Evans, who could be chosen early in the second round. More secondary help makes sense.
    
    
82. Denver Broncos: Marlon Mack, RB, South Florida
    Denver's offense fell apart when C.J. Anderson was injured, so I imagine the Broncos are going to spend a Round 2-4 selection on a running back.
    
    
83. Tennessee Titans: Desmond King, S/CB, Iowa
    The Titans signed John Cyprien to help their poor safety situation, but depth could still be obtained later in the draft.
    
    
84. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tarell Basham, DE, Ohio
    The Buccaneers could use another edge rusher, as Robert Ayers isn't a long-term solution.
    
    




85. Detroit Lions: Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson
    The Lions don't have anything beyond Eric Ebron at tight end, which is a problem because Ebron has been a disappointment as a first-round pick. Here's a potential solution.
    
    
86. Minnesota Vikings: Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee
    Teddy Bridgewater may never play for the Vikings again, while Sam Bradford is not the long-term answer. The Vikings could opt to add a rookie quarterback to the mix.
    
    
87. New York Giants: Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma
    The Giants could look into adding a running back during the second day of the 2017 NFL Draft. Samaje Perine seems like a perfect complement for Paul Perkins.
    
    




88. Oakland Raiders: Larry Ogunjobi, DT, Charlotte
    Defensive tackle is perhaps Oakland's greatest need, so it would be an upset if the Raiders didn't take one on Day 2.
    
    
89. Houston Texans: Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
    The Texans desperately need a receiving threat at tight end, and Gerald Everett is one of many talented tight ends in this draft class.
    
    
90. Seattle Seahawks: Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson
    The Seahawks are looking for an interior pass-rusher, and Carlos Watkins has exactly what they want in a prospect.
    
    
91. Buffalo Bills: Cameron Sutton, CB, Tennessee
    The Bills could go after a second cornerback, given their dire need at the position.
    
    
92. Dallas Cowboys: Shaquill Griffin, CB, Central Florida
    Cornerback help is sorely needed with Morris Claiborne gone. As luck would have it, this class is stacked at corner, so Dallas could grab two in the first three rounds.
    
    
93. Green Bay Packers: Taywan Taylor, WR, Western Kentucky
    Davante Adams will be a free agent after this season, and he could be too expensive to keep. The Packers may want to add a receiver as a result.
    
    
94. Pittsburgh Steelers: Carroll Phillips, DE/OLB, Illinois
    The Steelers could use an edge rusher after losing Jarvis Jones this offseason. James Harrison won't last much longer.
    
    
95. Seattle Seahawks: DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida State
    The Seahawks are in search for an inside-outside pass-rusher like DeMarcus Walker, who has traits that they look for.
    
    
96. New England Patriots: Alex Anzalone, LB, Florida
    The Patriots traded away Jamie Collins last season, and yet they still won the Super Bowl without him. Still, I can't imagine they would've been in such a big hole versus Atlanta with Collins on the field, so he'll need to be replaced.
    
    
97. Miami Dolphins: Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama
    The Dolphins should continue to add to their defensive line, as they need to add help next to Ndamukong Suh.
    
    
98. Carolina Panthers: Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU
    With Ted Ginn gone and Devin Funchess disappointing, the Panthers are expected to select a receiver in Rounds 2-4.
    
    
99. Philadelphia Eagles: James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh
    The Eagles like James Conner and would want to select him around this area. They have an obvious need at running back that needs to be addressed.
    
    
100. Tennessee Titans: Kendell Beckwith, ILB, LSU
     Outside of the secondary, the one area the Titans need to address is the inside linebacker group.
     
     
101. Denver Broncos: ArDarius Stewart, WR, Alabama
     The Broncos need to find a third receiver to go along with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, as they don't have anything beyond those two.
     
     
102. Seattle Seahawks: Vince Biegel, DE/OLB, Wisconsin
     The Seahawks could opt for a Bruce Irvin-type player who could rush the passer and drop into coverage.
     
     



103. New Orleans Saints: Duke Riley, LB, LSU
     The Saints have needed to bolster their linebacking corps for years now, so perhaps this is when they'll actually get it done.
     
     
104. Kansas City Chiefs: Daeshon Hall, DE, Texas A&M
     Dee Ford is an impending free agent after this season, while Tamba Hali may not be around for a while. Kansas City could take an edge rusher in this draft.
     
     
105. Pittsburgh Steelers: Amara Darboh, WR, Michigan
     Martavis Bryant has an expiring contract after 2017, and Pittsburgh may decide that it can't rely on him. Ben Roethlisberger had no downfield options outside of Antonio Brown in his playoff loss to the Patriots.
     
     
106. Seattle Seahawks: George Kittle, TE, Iowa
     George Kittle is the sort of athletic player the Seahawks like. He could start in 2018 if Jimmy Graham isn't retained as a free agent then.
     
     
107. New York Jets: Taylor Moton, OT, Western Michigan
     One of the many things the Jets need to address is the tackle position. Kelvin Beachum was signed, but he has a dubious injury history.
