Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Giants: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

Giants get: Picks 1 and 102 (R4)
Titans get: Picks 3, 65 (R3) and 2026 1st and 3rd round picks

The Giants struck out in their Matthew Stafford pursuit, and I’m not sold on an Aaron Rodgers pursuit. But even if they do sign Rodgers, it wouldn’t necessarily detract them from moving up for Ward as Rodgers is not a long term answer under center.

2. Browns: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Tough call here between Hunter and Abdul Carter. The latter provides more positional value, but also comes with injury concerns with his foot and shoulder. And maybe with the draft stock of Shedeur Sanders reportedly falling, perhaps they could move up for Sanders later to pair them back together.

3. Titans: Abdul Carter, OLB, Penn State

Tennessee got a price that made them willing to move off the #1 spot, and you’d have to believe if it’s down to 3, they’d draft whichever of Hunter and Carter are left. In this case it’s Carter, and he could be quite the menace coming off the edge.

4. Patriots: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

This might be a bit of a surprise, but I think Armand Membou stands a very reasonable chance of being the first offensive lineman off the board after Will Campbell’s arms measured in at under 33 inches. Additionally, Membou showed off tremendous athletic ability on par with Trent Williams and Tristan Wirfs. He also looked good in on-field combine drills. About the only complaint here is he played right tackle at Missouri, but it’s not like that isn’t a need in New England. Plus he could transition over to left tackle later on if not as a rookie.

5. Jaguars: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Another arguably surprising selection, but Jahdae Barron is very similar to a turbo charged Brian Branch, who has been great in Detroit since being drafted 45th overall in 2023. Barron is a very versatile chess piece for any defensive backfield, and that’d be a solid add for a Jacksonville secondary that needs help just about everywhere.

6. Raiders: Jalon Walker, OLB, Georgia

Another mock draft came up with the idea of Jalon Walker to the Raiders, and I don’t hate it. He’s a versatile piece who can play off-ball linebacker and rush the passer. Walker is also highly thought of as a great locker room guy, which new minority owner Tom Brady could like as was also pointed out by that mock draft.

7. Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Cutting Davante Adams has created a major need for a pass catcher for the Jets, and Tyler Warren might be the best bet for that if the Jets want to use this selection on a pass catcher. New coach Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand come from the Lions, and they could see Warren as their own version of Sam LaPorta.

8. Panthers: Shemar Stewart, DE, Texas A&M

The fact that Shemar Stewart went to Texas A&M and tested a lot like Myles Garrett drew parallels between the two during the combine telecast. Stewart has quite a ways to go to reach those heights, especially considering that Garrett was outstanding in college, whereas Stewart didn’t fill up the stat sheet in college. But with the Panthers need for EDGE help and Stewart raising his draft stock as high as he has, this pairing could make a lot of sense come late April.

9. Saints: Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia

Although Mykel Williams didn’t fully live up to the hype this past season, he was playing injured all season and still seems to be a highly regarded prospect who should be drafted as such. With Tyler Warren off the board, the Saints pivot to the pass rush and take Williams here.

10. Bears: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Back-to-back days have seen the Bears add both Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson on the trade market to be their new starting guards. This should allow them to attack either the defensive front, or Ashton Jeanty (if available). With the board falling the way it has, Jeanty is the guy here at 10.

12. Cowboys: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Given the Peter Skoronski treatment, the Cowboys stop the Will Campbell slide at 12. Whether it’s outside at tackle or maybe inside at right guard, he’ll be a great add to the Dallas O-Line.

11. 49ers: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

A once vaunted defensive line in San Francisco suddenly isn’t looking as intimidating as it once did. Most (if not all) mock drafts have Graham as a top 10 pick, but numerous teams see him more in the 11 to 15 range. With Javon Hargrave on the way out, Graham could slide right in as his replacement.

13. Dolphins: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

Reading around and then researching Miami’s drafts under GM Chris Grier, he doesn’t really like to draft guards in the first round. So I went away from the O-Line and gave them Nick Emmanwori here instead. Emmanwori had a legendary combine, and he would give the Dolphins very poor safety room a much needed boost.

14. Colts: Tyler Booker, G, Alabama

Unlike the Dolphins, Indianapolis isn’t against using high draft capital on interior offensive linemen. Teams reportedly were blown away by Tyler Booker’s interviews at the combine. He and Quenton Nelson would give the Colts two great, high character guards. Tyler Warren and Jahdae Barron could be options if available, but both are gone in this scenario.

15. Falcons: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Similarly to Jalon Walker, Jihaad Campbell can be utilized as both an off-ball linebacker and EDGE rusher. 19th to Tampa Bay feels like his floor at this point, but the Falcons (specifically Raheem Morris) love his versatility and take him before their divisional foes are able to.

16. Cardinals: Kelvin Banks, OT/G, Texas

Teams could be split on whether they view Kelvin Banks as a tackle or guard. Perhaps they could start him at guard and eventually send him out to tackle. Regardless, he could be a nice grab for the Cardinals at 16 to improve their offensive line somewhere for 2025 and beyond.
