Round 1

I feel sorry for Hunter going to Cleveland but the Browns would be stupid not to make this pick.

And now the two best players in the draft are off the board, with Hunter going second and Carter at pick 3.

I've seen receiver and even running back in this spot for the Patriots. But in this case, need and great player align.

Another match of need and great player. The Jaguars defense is in desperate need of juice on the line.

This is the first wild card in the draft. The Raiders' cupboard is bare. They could take Jeanty themselves, but they desperately need more high-end players. Chicago jumps ahead of the Saints, just in case.

They need a QB, unless Fields suddenly works out. They could probably use some help on the d-line or the lb corps. But one of the biggest issues they've had over the last few years has been the o-line. They start to remedy that here.

The Panthers tried to sign a DL from Philly and got outbid by New England. They decide to get a big guy here.

The Saints resist the urge to pull the trigger on Shedeur Sanders and instead take the top-ranked WR--ahead of the Raiders, who might have liked to get him.

The Raiders decide not to get too cute and instead draft an OT that might have been the first one off the board if not for injury.

After having its defense picked over by free agency, San Fran adds a replacement for Greenlaw who also brings pass rush.

Jerry likes to have the new, shiny object. He believes the team is ready to compete in the playoffs, so he gets the fastest WR of the bunch.

I see the safety from South Carolina in this spot frequently, but Starks has the game tape to prove he's the best safety available in the draft.

The Colts need a safety valve for whomever wins the QB competition. They get the best one in the draft.

The Falcons finally break down and draft a player from Georgia at a position of great need.
