Round 1

Picks 17-32
17. Texans: Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota State

This was probably my attempt at keeping Seattle from getting Grey Zabel. In my second-to-last mock, where I was less biased, Zabel went 18 to Seattle. I bought last-second rumors about Houston trading up.

18. Seahawks: Tyler Booker, G, Alabama

The other guard fell to them in my mock. They were taking him at that point. Mike Mayock had it, so it made sense.

19. Buccaneers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

BPA!

20. Saints: Shemar Stewart, DE, Texas A&M

Bengals should have been given him. Stewart was in the right range. The Saints used to love these long ends. I was 50/50 DE/OT. Had my mind set that the Saints liked Stewart.

21. Steelers: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

I copied most every one else except my hero Walter Cherepinsky.

22. Chargers: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

Harbaugh almost got his guy.

23. Packers: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Right position, wrong player as I had Golden long gone.

24. Giants: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

One pick difference! Mike Mayock was hot on the trail and I believed him!

25. Bengals: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

No edge left and Kentucky is really close to Cincinnati. Knew Hairston would be late first or early second round pick. His speed bumped him up for me.

26. Rams: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

BPA! I had no clue what the Rams would do!

27. Ravens: Donovan Ezeiruaka, OLB, Boston College

Thought Baltimore would go edge as they have a bunch of one-year deals on their edge players contracts.

28. Lions: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

BPA!

29. 49ers: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Biased again! I never thought Nolan would fall this far! Since he did, the relationship between Washington and San Francisco made sense for a trade.

30. Bills: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

Figured Buffalo would take a corner. Had Hairston in the mock draft before this one. So close!!

31. Chiefs: Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon

Knew they would go offensive lineman if there was a good one.

32. Eagles: Donovan Jackson, G, Ohio State

Again, I was grasping for straws at this point. The Eagles felt like they would get a steal. I just didn't figure which steal because I had Campbell gone. Im fine with that. He was close by.
