Round 1

Picks 17-32
17. Jets: J.C. Latham, OT, Alabama

We're 17 picks in and this is already the fifth tackle off the board. The Jets are all in with Aaron Rodgers next year. So what does he want? More protection or another receiver? I'm going with the first option.

18. Bengals: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Tee Higgins will be traded soon because the Bengals can't pay all their guys. Rome Odunze looks like a solid no 2 behind Jamarr Chase.

19. Rams: Dallas Turner, OLB, Alabama

It's weird to see a Rams logo in a first round mock but here we are. Here's a young edge rusher to profit off of Aaron Donald getting double teamed.

20. Buccaneers: Bralen Trice, DE, Washington

The Bucs could go QB here but I haven't identified a QB3 yet who would warrant a first round pick. Shedeur Sanders and Quinn Ewers look good but they are likely to return to college next year.

21. Texans: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

In order to evaluate CJ Stroud properly he will need more weapons.

22. Seahawks: Jer'Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois

The Seahawks need more interior offensive line help but they can address that later in the draft.

Their defense has been playing lights out so far this season but the D-line needs extra bodies.

23. Steelers: Graham Barton, G/OT, Duke

Barton is listed as a guard here but I think he has the size to play tackle in the NFL. The Steelers need a big upgrade at RT.

24. Bills: Cooper DeJean, S/CB, Iowa

DeJean is a great fit for Buffalo's scheme. He can play anywhere in the secondary.

25. Cowboys: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

Stephon Gilmore isn't a long term solution for the Cowboys defense.

26. Jaguars: J.T. Tuimoloau, DE, Ohio State

The Travon Walker is an outside linebacker experiment isn't going great in Jacksonville. They could move him to the D-line and get someone else to rush opposite Josh Allen.

27. Ravens: Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina

Lamar has been passing the ball more in Todd Monkens scheme. The Ravens could use more depth at receiver and a potential replacement for OBJ if he leaves.

28. Lions: Chop Robinson, OLB/DE, Penn State

Robinson could go way higher than this but he's not a finished product. Detroits defense has improved a lot but they need more pass rush.

29. Dolphins: Maason Smith, DT, LSU

The Dolphins have some quality pieces on defense but as a whole the unit has underperformed. I assume their priority will be to add resources there.

30. 49ers: Leonard Taylor, DT, Miami

The 49'ers like to rotate their linemen which is an ideal situation for Leonard Taylor to develop his potential.

31. Chiefs: Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota

The Chiefs have built the best defense Pat Mahomes has ever had by using a lot of high draft picks on that side of the ball. Mahomes can throw any receiver open so I don't expect that trend to end soon.

32. Eagles: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas

It's either trenches or WR for the Eagles in the first round.
